James kept me updated throughout, was always happy to answer any questions, and never made me feel under any pressure. We visited Kia - West Bromwich ( Tipton ) to browse at cars and Derren introduced himself. I was so impressed with his customer service and knowledgeable we decided to book a test drive. We’ve never owed a Kia before and again we were very impressed with drive and handling of the car we decided to purchase. Derren has been amazing throughout the process from start to handover. It was an absolute pleasure to have Amy Bourne, the sales executive assist me with with purchasing the car. She was very friendly, helpful, professional, highly experienced and made the whole process of purchasing the vehicle so smooth and straightforward.
The communication from Amy was excellent throughout the purchase. I was kept updated on the progress of the vehicle and offered after sales support and advice as well.

I contacted this dealer on Friday 17th July, having seen an ad on Autotrader for an Ioniq 5. Spoke to "Sarah" who answered the call. Explained we were interested in the vehicle & having test driven one identical, would like to visit to discuss a purchase & to inspect it. We asked if we could leave a refundable deposit & we did - £99.

Sarah explained the car would be taken off sale, she would arrange to have it fully prepped, valeted & available for our visit today (Monday 20th) at 11:30.

We arrived, slightly early, introduced ourselves & she explained she had "just looked at our order form". She did something on her laptop & looked a little perturbed, explaining that the car was not on site. The car is a demo model & was used as a vehicle by a colleague as his car but he was now on holiday & hadn't left the car. That being the case, it clearly wasn't prepped, valeted & available to us. She offered for us to drive another car, we declined, explaining we had made a special journey for this vehicle (we live in Devon). She went off to speak to a colleague & a manager & explained she could get the car to us in 10 minutes & would we go with her or wait. We waited.

10 minutes passed whilst she spoke to a colleague, ruffled some papers on her desk, spoke to her manager again & then did something on her computer. Not once did she seem embarrassed, say she was, or apologise for the not inconsiderable inconvenience she had caused, nor did she seem overly bothered, expecting us to just shrug our shoulders & accept the mess up.

Some 30 minutes later (40 minutes after our meeting was arranged), I decided to give up, so requested a refund of my deposit from the manager, explaining what had happened & that treating customers this way was no way to run a business. To his credit, he made no attempt to defend the situation & readily arranged a refund. At this point, now 45 mins after our appointment time & 25 minutes after her "10 minutes" had elapsed, Sarah returned in the middle of the conversation with the manager saying "Well I'm here now"

I am still flummoxed that I had to explain that she should have made checking her diary first thing her priority when she arrived at work, ensuring any vehicles that she as due to show would be as promised. Again, not even an apology.

Having read some of the reviews about pricing, which they deny, although I suspect they are wholly accurate, I am not at all surprised by this experience, I only wish I had read them before engaging with this shoddy shower Avoid at all costs, if I could give no stars, I would.

Great no-pressure helpful service at the buying stage with Steve. Excellent handover and feel confident that in the unlikely even that there are any issues, they will be dealt with promptly.
