Constant “Service Not Available” Program Interruptions

Keep getting buffering and “service not available”when watching programs. It happens a lot even during watching a single show. Did all the steps that the BritBox bot directed, and the problem persists. It does not happen on other apps. I love the programs on BritBox, but they are hard to watch with the constant interruptions. I plan to cancel.

Hold jer langt væk fra britbox. Der mangler både tekster og lyd på flere serier. Kontakter man dem skal de have oplysninger som kun et teknisk geni kan give dem. De sælger et defekt produkt, hold jer langt væk.

Pas på bondefangeri med Brit Box

Via Google Play bestilte jeg britbox fordi der blev vist nogle serier med alle sæsoner som jeg gerne ville se. Men nej... Men der skulle betales for at jeg kunne se dem, den 7 dages prøveperiode var ikke nok.
Efter at have betalt for et år, blev jeg en meget skuffet da jeg forsøgte at se en serie, for der var kun en sæson at vælge selvom serien har 18 sæsoner med ca 20 afsnit i hver.
Det samme var tilfældet for flere af de andre serier.
Det er dårlig markedsføring og vildledning at det ikke tydeligt fremgår hvilke afsnit det er muligt at se.
Det er endnu værre, at det ikke er muligt at få pengene retur fra britbox,når man har betalt for et år, selv om man fortryder sit køb indenfor 24 timer.
Det er ikke ok. Det lever ikke op til god forretningsetik.

Hold jer langt væk fra dette!!!. Det er bondefangeri af værste skuffe. På forsiden vises alle afsnit af en serie, men reelt er der måske 1 sæson. Det gælder de fleste serier og selv om man betaler 600 kr. og der stadig forskel på hvad man kan se i de enkelte lande.
Når man så opsiger sit abonnement ( et år) kan man ikke få pengene tilbage. Abonnementet var 1 dag gammel .

Ufattelig og uacceptabel billedkvalitet (mangel på samme)

Har aldrig oplevet en streaming tjeneste der komprimerer sit indhold SÅ hårdt - det er aldeles uacceptabelt!
Et eksempel er 'Red king', hele serien er rød, alt er rødt og rødligt. Alle serier/indhold har et slør over sig, linier er uskarpe, alt i blurret,

Jeg elsker engelske krimiserier og jeg ville SÅ meget have et britbox abonnement, men jeg KAN ikke udholde at se på det l**t, det er blasfemi at ødelægge producenter og skuespillers arbejde og samtidig opkræve sagesløse kunder, penge for det!

Tog et 6mdr tilbud - dårlig streamingkvalitet

Tog et 6mdr tilbud. Elsker britiske krimiserier etc. Fandt nogle gode shows. MEN MEN: Poirot episoderne fryser, loader med få minutters mellemrum, og er derfor komplet umulige at se. Andre, nyere shows virker fint. X antal mails til kundeservice senere, beder de stadig om internet speed, flere tekniske detaljer om mine devices (sjovt nok samme problem på tv, pc og mobil), og svarer ikke rigtig på hvorfor dælen det primært er ET show der ikke virker. Måske det er dårlige servere, dårlig streaming setup fra deres side, men det er tydeligt, at front end kundeservice har fået at vide, de ikke må sende videre til tech service før alle deres små kasser er udfyldt. FOrnyer ikke. VIlle slette mine kredikkort detaljer men det kan man heller ikke selv... spændende om endnu en mail til kundeservice virker her...

Good programming, bad service


Good programming, but it freezes and makes it impossible to get back into viewing a series once that happens. Their online help is no help at all.

No 5.1 and No Subtitle Override

First, I noticed that audio was not encoded 5.1 (Dolby or DTS). Tried multiple shows, all are stereo and goes into Dolby ProLogic decoding. Checked with tech support and was told that 5.1 was not yet available, not even for new releases. Incredible! Even my 20 year old satellite receiver does 5.1 … come on BritBox, get with it!

Second, after their last version update subtitles settings can no longer be controlled by the streaming box (Apple TV or Roku). Subtitle settings for all other streamers (Netflix, Prime, Acorn, Apple tv+ Disney) can be overridden by streamer box settings, but not BritBox. Their text size is too large, but there is no way to reduce it within their settings on my Apple TV 4k, and they don't allow the streamer box to override their settings, so there is no solution. Please BritBox, please allow streamer box settings to override your app, like every other streamer.

I cancelled my subscription in Sept. and just recently discovered tBritBox is still charging my VISA. You can't trust this company!!!

Britbox is the gold standard for the best Brit TV!

I admit to being puzzled by so many negative reviews of Britbox. Yes, sometimes I find the user interface a little cumbersome compared to other streaming services, but the content, to me, is stellar and well worth the subscription price. In other words, I wouldn't part with it. Some of my most beloved series are available there, even older series such as those based on Agatha Christie novels (Poirot and Marple spring to mind). There is also Death in Paradise, and other more current programming. For me.. it's a matter of "what's not to like about it?"

Some good, but really old!

Britbox has some good shows on it, but it's getting really old. I've been a subscriber for many years and they keep pushing "new" shows via my email when they are not "new" at all, they've been on Britbox for years, many or most of them I've watched on Britbox decades ago. Yet still they tout these as "new" when there're not. It's getting to that time to drop the subscription as they are just pushing all this old stuff and not replenishing the stock with anything new. I know there are great new shows in the UK (The Brit in Britbox) but they are just not investing and are just trying to squeeze the last few $'s out of the old, old stock! Bad business model for sure.

Can’t be trusted to cancel subscriptions when requested.

I love Brit Box content but I absolutely hate Bb and their customer service. The worst ever!
I signed up for BB a few years back and after I cancelled my subscription they continued to charge my credit card. I was hell getting my money back.
Stupidity I subscribed again on November 1 of 2023. I canceled the auto renew at the time I signed up by in checking the auto renew box. November 1 2024 my subscription ended. But after getting my credit card statement I noticed they collect payment anyway. Remember I have no access to BB content and I keep getting a message that I have to sign up for a subscription.
I called BB numerous times and never got an answer. I tried to do the online chat a few times and nobody ever answered. Today I was intending on sending an email when I started a person (Kharen V) opened a chat. OMG it took well over an hour! And she just kept insisting there was no way to turn off auto renew and I still had access to content. I think she turned the subscription back on cuz after following her instruction I can now watch content.
The point is I intended for the auto renew to stop and they took my money anyway!! I have again cancelled my subscription and have made copies of my cancellation receipt.
I truly believe they purposely ignore people’s cancellation request and there should be a class action lawsuit against them.
I will never again sign up for BritBox no matter how much I like their content.

Antiquated "Service," Mediocre Programs, Useless Chat

The shows I haven't been able to see here in the USA that are on BritBox are ok - not great - but - worse - I find your site very difficult to navigate on my TVs unless I want to adhere to the strict chronological order of programs and nothing else, there is no going back to re-watch a show or find a show among many in a long series. I especially do not like the sign-in process using the remote I have to use from Comcast cable TV, very difficult to type in all the characters for my email & password, especially if I have to do it repeatedly (per your "chat" service which is bizarre). Tonight, your site on my TVs was not available without my entering my sign-in info and the Chat Lady expected me to change my password to make YOUR system easier to use (ha!) which will not I repeat WILL NOT make entering anything into your system any easier using the remote that goes with the Comcast system I use. As that is all the "help" I'm going to get, me, a paying customer, then I decided to CANCEL. Very disappointing.

I also was a 1 star critic, because of the price, without ads, I hung in, experiencing all the same things those listed here, big fan of poirot, Lovejoy, Morse, all their seasons not seen elsewhere. I was apparently lucky, albeit many frustrating hours loading /unloading britbox app, I've discovered many more shows like touch of frost,, taggart, crime story, yes I like these type, unlike one who claimed only kind available, not true, also has similar crap that's on Netflix etc, paying 20 bucks without ads, I'm happy at present, hope they don't screw it up, toes also crossed

Shows buffering and freezing

We have a Samsung TV and the shows keeps freezing and buffering. Called the customer service and the answer was they are having issues with Samsung TVs. They said to keep watching for updates but no time-line as to when it will be.

Manglende kundeservice.

Programmerne er gode, men kundeservice findes ikke. Pludselig bliver jeg smidt af med beskeden " Your session has expired. ". Jeg har prøvet at kontakte Britbox, men får intet svar.
