No guide to see what is on Britbox.

When using Britbox on my TV I could not use the A-Z guide to peruse the shows so I used my laptop to see what was on. Now they have taken the guide away from my laptop. Unless one knows what one wants to watch. Britbox is useless.

Absolute scam. I have told Amazon about it…”This video is currently unavailable” on many of the Series eg Vera, Silent Witness, The Bay.

There is something wrong

There is something wrong. I was curious to the different subscriptions and pressed on yearly subscription. I wanted to see if the six month offer would show up again (it didn’t). Then I pressed it back on monthly. And THEN I was billed for a yearly subscription. What a surprise.
And due to the rules, I can’t make a cancelation for next time now, I have to wait six month!

Awful- paid only $55 for a year but…

Awful- paid only $55 for a year but after looking at it, I certainly wish I hadn’t, half the stuff listed that’s on it on the web doesn’t exist, the offerings are limited unless you like crime.
I certainly won’t be renewing as it’s not worth it even at the first subscriber rate. ITVX in the UK had many more offerings than this and that was free.

Britbox App is Awful

The issue with Britbox has nothing to do with the content and everything to do with the quality of the app. Some shows I can simply not play, there is a playback error. And most buffer for so long, I have to shut off my TV (Samsung smart TV) and unplug my TV for about 10 seconds. My router is less than 20 feet away, and this happens with no other device on in the house. I just don't get it and Britbox customer service is useless.

Repeatedly failed to cancel my sub

I cancelled this subscription in January with an email to confirm. However they have continued to charge me in the subsequent months. I have cancelled again, and waiting to hear back from them about a refund. I have to email all my communications.
Failure to cancel on request immediately is total failure for any streaming service.

App is so bad it's unwatchable a lot of the time!

I've been a Britbox subscriber for a few years now and I keep hoping that the app will be improved and updated but I've seen no sign of that happening, sadly.
I quite like the content, for its nostalgic value, but honestly the actual app is absolutely bloody awful! It's disgracefully bad. It is CONSTANTLY going wrong in one way or another!
Examples:
1. I open the app (using Amazon Firestick) and it doesn't load, instead it tells me that I have no Internet connection. That is nonsense. I have a FTTP broadband service which is in full working order! When this happens, I have to exit the app and reopen it, then sometimes it miraculously opens, sometimes it doesn't. I often give up and watch something on Netflix instead.
2. I open the app and it opens but doesn't show the home page. It asks me to log in (but I'm already logged in!) so I click on "log in" and it says "are you sure you want to log out?"! No! I just want to watch the next episode of the series I've been watching. So I've worked out that when this happens I have to press the back button, which then brings up a home page, but without the "continue watching" section. So I then go to the menu and then search for the series I'm watching, find it in the search. Sometimes it knows which one is my next episode, but other times it takes me to episode 1 of series 1.
3. Often, when the above happens I simply cannot get to the next episode I want to watch. The app seems to freeze on the first episode and all the other series are greyed out and not clickable.

This is a truly appalling service! What a shame. The idea is a good one, a lot of the content appeals to me - but it's so often inaccesible. Please sort this out Britbox!

SINCE ITS CHANGED TO ITVX IT HAS GONE DOWN HILL,I WILL BE CANCELLING MY SUBSCRIPTION.I have a premium account YET WHEN I LOG IN IT SAYS I DONT.THEY HAVE MADE IT AS HARD AS POSSIBLE AND NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD TO CANCEL..LIKE MOST OF TODAYS COMPANIES,THEY HOPE PEOPLE WILL FORGET OR FORGET PASSCODES AND OFFER A P**S POOR SERVICE..COMPLETE JOKE OF A CHANEL.FULL OF CHEAP NASTY REALITY CRAP..IM OFF FOR GOOD

Cancelled since August and they still…

Cancelled since August and they still keep taking my subscription. I’ve got all the proof of this I need so I am now taking this further and seeking legal advice. They keep ignoring my requests and emails and not dealing with my queries.
Nothing but thieves.
I’m going to call my bank today too and claim it back.

Great idea, poor execution

The idea is great but the execution is abysmal. The app doesn't work properly on Apple TV or on a regular Smart TV. The site doesn't work properly either. I signed up for a free trial but received no trial. I was told I had to subscribe first. So I subscribed and then I was told I can't get a trial because I am now a subscriber. There are only a few series with Swedish subtitles. There's no Swedish site. You can only pay using a Swedish credit card, so if you have a digital wallet, you're out. Their customer service is one of the worst I've encountered. You can't create profiles and if you try to access an episode in another season, the app often stops working. So you sometimes have to watch something from ep 1 s 1 to watch it at all.

There are other subscription services that have the same series (with subtitles) along with a lot of other content and many more features for about the same amount of money.

In conclusion, great potential but they missed the mark completely.

Please be aware that this company renew…

Please be aware that this company renew yearly subscriptions automatically and despite consumer regulations do not let the account holder know. They have taken a subscription from my account and despite the Britbox subscription being cancelled have still not refunded my money. Customer service personal are advised to block and quote GDPR. Troubled company with appalling customer service

Trying to stop them from taking…

Trying to stop them from taking payments out of my bank account as my son got me a subscription. I had to cancel the subscription to get the card information off their site. Once the subscription is up I won't be renewing it. If I can't speak to someone to fix things than I don't need it!

Ingen adgang i udlandet

Indholdet på BritBox er ganske godt men adgangen er elendig. I 2023 er de ikke i stand til at håndtere, at man som dansker ønsker at se indholdet som man har betalt for i udlandet. Når man er i Spanien kan man ikke logge ind på den danske side for det vil BritBox styre og man bliver sendt til den spanske side.
Fejlagtigt tror man at en VPN er løsningen, men nej BritBox kan opdage at man anvender en dansk VPV forbindelse og så får man ikke adgang selvom man har betalt for det.
BritBox vil gerne sælge deres løsninger på tværs af Europa, men så må de holde op med at opføre sig som imperialister der vil styre hvor og hvornår man kan få adgang. Træls med 14 dages ferie i udlandet, hvor man ikke kan se den streaming service man har betalt for. Det er klart under standard. Det er ret ringe for at sige det mildt og kundeservice er der ikke meget af.
