Cable Monkey Advertise and sell a product as being EASY the rj45 utp ,and it is anything but easy . i had to open the product to find out that its very difficult to assemble but they wont refund me .very won't be shopping there again

Incredible - Best service I have ever recieved.

I am doing a project at home to install a CAT 5 network in my new house and after doing googling decided to use Cable Monkey for my supplies.

They had everything I needed with an easy to navigate website with really good prices.

I put my shoping list together and then proceeded with my order, as is always the case I noticed about 5 seconds after clicking the pay button that one of the items I ordered wasn't correct ( 100% my fault for not reading details). So I gave the guys at Cablemonkey a call to ask if I could have this item removed.

They were so helpfull and to have this item removed I just needed to reply to my order email and request this, within about 5 minutes this item was removed from my order and the refund began to process.

The equipment arrived the next working day as promised (and for free) and after inspecting the equipment I was amazed at the quality of it all, given the prices I was expecting some sub standard kit (fine for a home project) but I would happily use this for enterprise work.

11/10 experience for me.

ABSOLUTELY appalling delivery service

ABSOLUTELY appalling delivery service. Paid for next day delivery and 6 days later I am still waiting. Feel like a mug as I've found the same product on Amazon 20% cheaper and with free next day delivery.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service. Repeatedly requested a return for an item which was not as described and were completely ignored. Now stuck with £70 item I can't use.

Fitting name for a company as I’m…

Fitting name for a company as I’m convinced it’s actually apes who run it.

Purchased a 30m cat6 cable early on the 22nd with (expensive) next day delivery.
Today (26th) I decided to contact cable monkey to question where my
Item was and to remind them I had paid for next day delivery, this was their reply..

“ due to the current circumstances and cannot guarantee any next day deliveries as displayed on our website”

...Okay but you’re more than happy to take my money for a service that you openly admit you can not provide. Maybe consider removing the option of next day delivery? It’s not rocket science.

Hi Jack, please accept my apology for the late delivery of your cable. At Cable Monkey we operate during standard office hours, something that is clearly displayed on our website. Because your order was placed on a Saturday it was processed and dispatched the following Monday. Unfortunately our courier wasn’t able to deliver on the Tuesday. Once we were made aware of this we immediately refunded your delivery charge and rescheduled your delivery for the following day. I appreciate your patients during these difficult times.

Beware of the return policy with Cable Monkey…

I've placed an order with Cable Monkey last week, the delivery came two days late. Upon calling their customer support informed me that they have made a mistake placing my order as shipped when some items were out stock. When the order finally arrived I've realised that I've ordered the wrong switch and called to arrange a return, to my surprise I was informed that because it was my mistake I had to cover with the postal expenses to send it back in my case this represents almost the value of the switch itself. Even if I wanted to replace it for another model I would still have to pay to return the one I don't need. Never buying again from Cable Monkey, there are cheaper more reliable and customer focus suppliers out there.

Hi David, please accept my apologies for any problems you may have had while shopping with Cable Monkey. I can see you placed your order on our economy delivery service, as it says on our website this has up to a 5 working day delivery time. Faster options are available if the order is urgent.

Regarding our returns policy, if your order arrives damaged or doesn’t work for whatever reason we will often replace it free of charge. However if you make a mistake on your order and wish to return it for a refund, it is up to you to get it back to us safely. This can be done easily at minimal cost via numerous couriers.

No issues

Ordered 3 cables.
Website was easy to navigate, different postage options were offered & once I’d chosen, cables arrived within a couple of days.
No issues, no problems. Would recommend / use them again.

Ordered a couple of times, excellent service

Ordered a couple of times from Cablemonkey now, and had a postivie experience in both instances. Having used Connectix at work (an ISP) it's good to have a brand that I know and trust. Items are good quality, as described, good price, and dispatched/delivered quickly.

My Little Order

Not good. I don't know what they think they are doing. The order was "lost in the post", but as someone who worked for the Royal Mail for 12 years, I know that this probably means "not dispatched". In my correspondence with them it was clear that they didn't consider my "little order" much of a priority.

Hi John, I’m sorry your order didn’t arrive as you expected. I can see your order was placed on the 22nd and shipped on the 23rd. Royal Mail confirmed delivery on the 1st. As your order was placed on our super saver delivery service, and we had a bank holiday in between, your order still arrived within 5 working days, as expected. Faster delivery options are available if the order is urgent.

We dispatch most orders of all sizes on the day the order is placed or the working day after. Orders placed on our economy or saver delivery services are shipped by Royal Mail, who are normally excellent but do occasionally lose parcels. A fact that has been well publicised. But in this case everything seems in order.

Pretty poor

Pretty poor. Ordered 15m of External Cat6 RJ45 Patch Lead. literally only received one 20mm light socket screw. I did arrive on time, and had I ordered that, I would have over the moon I suspect. I emailed and complained. Got an apology and got the cable shortly after.
If they cant get my first and only order correct, then why use monkeys again?
I wont - I'll go to an online retailer that doesn't cock things up.
Monkeys is right.

Top notch!

The quality of the cables and hardware is excellent, as per their spec sheets. Very reasonable pricing, as well!

The dispatch and shipping was very fast, despite selecting the super saver delivery option. No items were missing, delayed or incorrect.

All in all, a very pleasant experience and will be buying again.

Absolutely awful experience

Absolutely awful experience. Sent me a completely different item to what was shown online. Also when requesting a refund I was waiting almost a week for instructions from a colleague. My total payment for my order was £11.88 and I received a total of £4.74 back. From the day I return my item to the day I received my refund it took 18 days. Really awful customer service and lack of communication, would NOT recommend!
