$1,000+ Product Became Unusable After One Year — Battery Not Covered
I purchased a Capillus laser cap for over $1,000 because it was marketed as a premium product backed by a three-year warranty and promising results. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
Just after the one-year mark, the battery pack stopped working completely, which makes the device unusable. When I contacted customer support, I was told that while the cap itself has a three-year warranty, the battery is only covered for one year. Because the battery failed shortly after that period ended, they refused to replace it. Since the battery is required to operate the cap, the entire device becomes useless when it fails.
After using the product consistently, I also did not experience the results that were advertised.
What made the situation worse was the customer service experience. I explained that the battery failed right after the warranty period and asked if they would consider replacing it given the high cost of the product. I mentioned that I would prefer not to leave a negative review and hoped they would help resolve the issue.
Instead of working toward a solution, the representative dismissed the concern and told me to go ahead and leave a bad review if I wanted to.
For a product at this price point, I expected better product performance and far better customer support. I would encourage potential buyers to read the warranty details very carefully before making a purchase.

Customer service online and over the phone
On Wednesday 2/25/26, I called customer service 888-470-2720.
I spoke to the customer service representative, Christina.
She assisted me.
I explained the below situation.
Christina spoke to a supervisor and overnighted at no charge a replacement battery.
I emailed customer service Thursday 2/19/26. I had an appointment scheduled for assistance the following day, Friday 2/20/26 at 12:30 pm- 12:45 pm.
Friday 2/20/26 The representative did not call.
I emailed the representative Friday 2/20/26 at 3:29 pm inquiring as to the status of the call.
I have yet to receive a response to my email.
Saturday 2/21/26 at 10:22 am I called and left a message for Capillus customer service at 888-470-2710.
I requested a call to inquire about a replacement battery for my Capillus.
I have yet to receive a call back from this call.

Can't replace battery…
I TRIED to purchase a replacement battery for my cap, but they are now not available to purchase online. So, I have a $2600. cap that i am not able to use... pretty frustrating

We bought the cap and Lou used it as instructed but the battery does not hold a charge.

I asked to change the color of my face mask to lilac and although the Black already shipped, Christina in customer service took it upon herself to make the change, deliver the replacement within 1 day and provided a paid UPS label for return.

Awesome Customer Service
I have not needed to contact the company for five years, but recently my battery pack for my cap was not charging for as long as it used to. Christina, the phone rep was amazing . She figured out which cap I had and sent it over within days! I will definitely be purchasing from them in the future!
