I hosted a virtual corporate cook-along to engage our employees during COVID-19. Darryl was great, both pre-event and during. I've had fantastic feedback from all attendees, and would definitely recommend.

Great live cooking class, really engaging and fun recipe!

From start to finish this was a 5 star experience and absolutely amazing.
Darryl was extremely helpful with booking the event, he answered any questions we had (there were quite a few) and gave us good alternatives to use for any dietary requirements we had within the group. The ingredients list and step by step guide was set out perfectly and I feel like I have been let into the world’s best kept secret with this curry recipe! Cooking has never been so much fun, I would sign up to do this 10 times over and I can definitely say my cooking skills have improved 99.9%. 5 stars for Darryl and Chef's Compliments!

Darryl provided a very engaging and informative 2.5hr 1-1 Zoom class. We cooked game terrine and then monkfish with lentils and chorizo.
The food was super and Darryl was a great teacher and adjusted his pace accordingly.
Can recommend his class to anyone who wants good, clear explanations on how to cook excellent dishes!

Help was to hand for the surprise dinner

Because of lockdown my son’s long worked for promotion was at risk of not being marked by a surprise celebratory dinner out, for him and his wife, while I took the children.
Darryl couldn’t help with babysitting but he did take over the celebratory dinner organisation and delivery. Communication was excellent and prompt and the chef arrived at the time specified to hand over the delicious food with minimal work left to do. We had been advised what was left to do earlier that day so serving dishes and pans had been assembled ahead of time, with my daughter in law now in on the secret.
A lovely surprise for them both- all thanks to Darryl.

I was planning a very special celebration this Summer...Darryl and his team were due to be supplying the catering. Due to the dreaded Covid we have had to cancel.

Darryl swiftly refunded my booking with no issues whatsoever..... aside from this at the very outset Darryl was incredibly helpful when working with my brief. He was professional...creative and imaginative with what the team could supply for my party and I’m just gutted it’s not going ahead .... I’ll be back though once we get through this and I’ll be sure to rebook with Chefs Compliments.

Darryl hosted a virtual cooking class for my birthday for me and my family. It was such a great experience having never done anything similar before. Darryl taught with professionalism whilst always making sure we were having fun! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learnt new practices and the food we made was delicious! I’d highly recommend.

Our Chef experience with Darryl was brilliant - we had our two offices in the US Zoom in and cook Toad in the Hole and Chocolate Brownies. Darryl was very thorough and explained each step of the recipe very well (you have to have all your ingredients etc ready beforehand) - great team 'virtual' activity and would highly recommend!

Darryl hosted a virtual cooking lesson with 30 of our colleagues from across Europe. A fantastic evening was had by all, the food was absolutely delicious and the method/tuition was superb. We will be booking again very soon!

Darryl did a 1 hour class for my office last night and he was absolutely fantastic. The concept of doing via video call works exceptionally well, and Darryl is a patient and thorough teacher, going at a good pace so that isn't too slow but also that no one gets left behind. I learned a few tricks to improve my future cooking, and 30 of my colleagues were exceptionally well fed - not bad for a Thursday evening! Could not recommend Darryl highly enough.

Dinner for 2 for a " Special " birthday during lockdown. Great communication and food was beautifully prepped and delivered bang on time.
Lots of food, we had ordered canapés as well as a 3 course meal and didn't manage to get to the dessert as just too ful, also still have arancini left for lunch today, what's not to like.
Not a cheap option but definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Great food; ordered meal for anniversary during the London lockdown... prompt drop off on the evening, very easy to finalize the prep (as chef could not enter the house), and sooo tasty. Thanks so much.

Pre-dinner Communication with Darryl was easy and we had an excellent experience on the night with Chef Daniel. Canapes were good, the scallop starter very good, the tasty and succulent beef featherblade excellent... and the sticky toffee pudding out of this world!
Daniel was professional but friendly and all the ingredients he brought were really fresh. His own home-made non-dairy icecream was delicious and reflected the overall care Chef's Compliments took over dietary requirements.
We would recommend Chef's Compliments unreservedly!

I hired Chefs Compliments on behalf of a client for an intimate family Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. Chef George and his assistant Kat arrived on time with wonderful energy - their vibe matched the busy happy household perfectly and they chatted with guests whilst preparing the meal. I tasted the starters and they were delicious! My client said the meal was fantastic and her guests haven’t stopped talking about the food and their experience. The booking process, from talking with Darryl to updates between us on adjustments for the day, was easy and I felt reassured and confident in the team’s calm and friendly professionalism. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, and hope to book them for various experiences in future.

Recently we had the anniversary of our Cafe's opening, and decided to give our chefs a break and hire Chef Julien from chefs compliments to cater for our event, and we couldn't have been happier! He was very relaxed and talkative, whilst being very focused on delivering the best possible meal for our party of 12, his menu has a very wide selection of delicious food and thankfully it did not disappoint! The food served by Chef Julien was of the highest standard and really helped make our evening a great one! Will definitely go here again for catering!

We had a poor experience with chefs compliments. Chef Kim was booked to cook for 9 guests 3 courses of fine dining with canapes.
She texted in the afternoon to say she would be starting our dinner party half an hour later than we had agreed.
We were served shop bought frozen spring rolls for a canapé. Dry beef for our main and a soufflé which was more of a dry sponge for dessert served with co-op own brand ice cream.
When we raised our concerns with Darryl he told us this is normal procedure and offered one free canapé course on a future booking as way of compensation. We paid almost £1000 for the meals as it was to be the highlight of a 40th birthday celebration, and will obviously not be booking with them again. So his token gesture was arrogant and insulting
The companies website clearly states "only the freshest locally sourced high end ingredients prepared from scratch by our team"
Co-op ice cream and frozen spring rolls (which were left in our freezer) does not meet the brief.
Be warned.

The guys at chef’s compliments are friendly and professional and all of my guests had a wonderful evening. Food was incredible- I’d recommend to anyone.

Not the first time we have used them and as always we were very pleased with the service provided.
Despite our last minute requirements, Darryl and the chocolatier hired, Paulene were able to meet our needs.

We used Chefs Compliments for 2 cookery lessons in our own home - the chefs (Luigi and Bonito) were fantastic and the experience was unrivalled.

We learnt 6 dishes between 2 lessons and the chef's worked professionally and with humour.

The food was also so tasty and we enjoyed eating it all after.

Eleanor was great at pre-event communication. Organised an amazing event for all involved.

Great food and service from an excellent bunch of chefs.
