Lies. Lack of care towards customers and Hard Sell.
I topped up credit at this new salon in Kidderminster. My first visit was fine as I attended when it was unmanned. Self check in at the kiosk, easy, great. Clean and tidy.
Subsequent visits when the studio was manned. Completely different experiences. 1. Manager. Hard sell at the kiosk. More minutes, creams etc. Very off putting. I left without using the facilities it was that bad.
Complaint on email to help desk. Assured Kidderminster would be advised that when help rejected at the kiosk, respect that, not everyone wants to be harassed.
Next visit, exactly the same as previously except different staff. Explained to staff member that I didn't want any help. She reacted aggressively saying that I was stopping her from doing her job. I defended myself with no, just don't want to be harassed with sales techniques thanks. Two of five customers who were her friends, queuing, got involved, being aggressive, intimidating and coming to her "defense". She encouraged this.
I complained again to the help desk right there and then and was told that it shouldn't happen and that the role of the staff is to offer help but if this declined then keep a respectful distance. No sunbed session again for me: waste of time, parking and left feeling upset. Again.
Next visit, the manager again. I declined help. Was told she has to help. Aggressive attitude again. Advised her of my conversations with helpdesk. Told her I was recording the conversation. She stepped back and I booked in. Next thing, I receive an email saying my account is suspended due to my inappropriate and aggressive behaviours towards staff. Absolute lies.
Just astonished that this has happened.
Consol refuse to refund my £34 of credits and are denying me access to use them.
They say they have checked cctv and spoken to staff and decide my behaviour is inappropriate.
Pure lies.
I did nothing at all but defend myself which consisted of declining help then explaining the situation.
Cctv at the salons is video only. Interesting how they decide I'm in the wrong when they can't hear what anyone is saying.
I have audio footage of my exchange and photos of the customers who verbally abused me.

Went to Worcester salon Tuesday 12th Aug.
OMG, you could have performed a surgery in there it was so clean.
Tayla takes so much pride in her role, she's a credit to Consol.

Walked in to consol never been before and was warmly greeted by Blossom, she was helpful and approachable a credit to the company and made me feel comfortable for this reason I’d use again and recommend.

Faulty sunbeds and The staff isn’t very friendly.
I paid for 16 minutes and only stayed for 5 because the sunbed was faulty and burned my hands and feets in first 5 minutes
Incidentally, many sunbeds are cracked and broken, I don't understand why they don't fix them, and the staff there is not friendly, even after 4 days I didn't get my money back!
I don't recommend it!

I use Camborne shop all the time the girls in there are amazing the shop is always spotless iv never felt uncomfortable I won't use any other but I had to tonight and my good in truro shop rubbish on floor and never in my life felt uncomfortable I will never use this shop again il stick to camborne from now on and all u girls at camborne ur a credit to the company

I’ve been using Walsall for the past few weeks and I must say the beds need replacing I’ve spent over £60 and I am still as pale as I was before I went and I ran really easily and have used beds for years 😢 both my daughter and myself have noticed the lack of tan from this salon we much have spent a lot of money with no results we have both decided to find a different salon sad really because the staff are lovely and helpful x

Finally had a reply after asking to leave, and wanting my credits refunded. The grammar is shocking and it asks me to...
"fill up for us empty spaces so we will ba able to process a refund for you"
What on earth does this mean? Who is in charge in this organisation?
Almost £1 a minute not good enough
I have been considering leaving Consol for sometime now because 80p per minute is too much but the ease of getting a bed when I want one stopped me leaving. I used the bed 2 times before my holiday and went to top up when I got back and the price had gone up to almost £1 a minute. So I cancelled and went in the sun for a hour. Why do Consol not care about its customers? I will not be topping up my min anymore unless the price comes down to a reasonable amount.

The prices in salons rocketed during Covid along with the utility supplies for everyone else, however utilities have almost halved since but consol have never lowered in line with the market. They kept it at 90p a minute and subsequently pocketing the extra revenue and not passing it back on to the customer. I envisage shop closures in their future.
Great tanning beds in the new Bracknell…
Great tanning beds in the new Bracknell store but the staff are even more overbearing than they were in the old shop. The girl took my phone out of my hand to scan and then used the screen for me. I said I was fine and didn’t need any help but she was oblivious. I’m a grown woman the screens are self explanatory and I don’t need someone in my personal space. Not sure why this is the norm in your stores Consol, but I would ask the teams to step back

I went for a sunbed later in the day so there was no staff and my sunbed errored 5 minutes into the 15 minutes I paid for. When I called up they refused to pay me for the remaining minutes.

The hand dryer in the customer toilet has been out of order since Christmas, there is still no salon music working, again like this for months, and some of the flooring is held together with brown tape. Disgusting standards. What a depressing atmosphere. The glossy promo photos don't represent this salon at all 😒

I just have to say how wonderful the new young man working at the Exeter Consol is! From the moment I walked in, he was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. He took the time to explain everything, made sure I was comfortable, and had the best recommendations. His positive energy and adorable personality truly make the whole experience even better. It’s so refreshing to see someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers. A fantastic addition to the salon—definitely five-star service!

I guess this is the worst run company ever i saw in my life. You have to do so many things online to pay and to get a tanning. I cant belive they are still in business. It takes you min 30min to créate an account and at the end i just have up

I have never been on a sunbed and just wanted to try it on this cold miserable winters day. I have to admit I was nervous and didn’t have a clue.
Then I met Aleysha at the Worcester branch who was amazing and led me through the whole process.
She answered all of my concerns, told me about the creams glasses and emergency things.
If there hadn’t been a staff member I would have walked out so I would just like her recognised please.

Cleaning standards
Cleaning standards. Twice I've been for a bed recently and twice I've had to clean the bed before getting on it because it was filthy. To be fair to the girl in Farnborough, it was a big studo and she was cleaning another cubicle at the time, she was really helpful and moved me to a clean bed. But the second time today at around 3pm in Camberley London Rd the bed had a pool of sweat on it and I missed the start of my bed because I was cleaning it. I don't mind doing it after myself but not someone else! That's your job!! Not impressed 😕

Best Sunbeds ever
Been using these beds for years, they are first class, visited walsall since it opened,but have been using cannock as the beds are so much better. Walsall needs a refurbishment with some new beds, they are old, dated, still work fab, please get some new beds in walsall, save me the hour drive to cannock thanks 😊
