DDR Guard Dogs Avis 

We bought our German shepherd Harley at 7 months old from DDR. Ben the business owner matched us with a dog that he knew would be suitable for our circumstances, Harley gets on well with other dogs and is brilliant when people come to our home. Harley was fully house trained with no puppy accidents and he was well behaved and adjusted to home life really well with the help of Ben who is always available to phone for advice. Harley stayed mostly at DDR at first for continuous training, until he was ready for longer stays at home. Ben and his team did not rush the training for us or Harley. As we and Harley have been trained by Ben and his team, Harley has matured to be a well balanced dog. He was thoroughly trained primarily in obedience at first, then slowly progressed in the protection work.
The facilities at DDR are excellent for obedience and protection training and the dogs have plenty of enrichment activities in between the training. We would definately recommend buying a personal protection dog from DDR. Ben the owner and his team are passionate about what they do and always strive for excellence. We have also learned so much from the training sessions at DDR. We have a personal protection dog who not only makes us feel safe, but who is so well behaved and makes us feel proud to walk him out in public.

We have been taking our Kane corso to DDR guard dogs for general obedience and protection training for 11 months now and have never looked back.
They have been outstanding at helping our dog to reach his potential and have taught us so much along the way.
The service they provide at the training school and for the aftercare is excellent.

We got reggie (boxer) off of Ben 3 years ago. He had been through a 18 month Ddr family protection program. Reggie is incredibly well balanced loving all family activities gentle and patient when appropriate with a six sense for risk and danger….. he loves to practise and be tested with his security function. Big thanks to the ddr team for the addition to our family.

We had our Rhodesian Ridgeback with Ben for 2.5 weeks and he’s come back well on his way to where we want him to be training and confidence wise.
Ben and his team have been amazing and our dog will be back out with him again soon for another 2.5 week session and can’t wait to see the further results after it!

Ben and his team welcomed our 1 year old Rhodesian ridgeback Otto for a 2 week domestic training. It has been really good for his confidence, recall and overall obedience. Otto is incredibly stubborn so I am very pleased with the results of his training so far. Looking forward to continue!

Hi,just want to share my short story about my Belgian Malinois dog.Behaviour problem,mainly aggression to people and dogs,after few months of that issue we decided to visit DDR K-9 Academy in Kent.After few sessions with Ben and his grate team our dog make really good progress. We bought our European Shephard Dog, Ivan, from Ben at DDR Guard Dogs just over two years ago. He is the absolute best dog we could have ever wished to buy. He had a basic level of training compared to the level Ben can train dogs too but he fitted our budget and what we needed him for which was to guard our farm whenever we weren’t around but also we needed him to be a family dog as well. Although he hadn’t had years of training the training he did have and the knowledge Ben has of knowing the correct breeding for a dog to be used as a protection dog has meant that Ivan has just instinctively picked up on what his job was at the farm. He can be out on the yard with me all day with people coming and going and as long as I am at ease with the people he’ll happily wander about as if no one is around but he’s always on alert, but as soon as I am not out with him and someone pulls up he is back into full guard mode and won’t let anyone in until he is sure we are okay with them coming into the farm, his natural instincts and intelligence in this aspect amaze me frequently.
With us he is the most loving, loyal, well behaved dog we’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. He quickly understood the job we needed him to do which was to be okay with having people on the farm but to be on guard and let us know if any people came onto the land who we’re not supposed to be there. He is a far better deterrent for potential burglars than any camera or alarm system. He is also incredible around the horses on the farm, he instinctively knows to be nice to them but to respect their space and not to get too close to them. He also absolutely loves our family dog and is very good with babies and young children too. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog than Ivan. So thank you Ben, we’re absolutely thrilled to pieces with him!

Iv bought a dog from ddr guard dogs and also getting one trained by them excellent trainers very friendly and will give you the best truthful advise ben is a great guy and will help choose a dog best to suit you and your family i 100 percent recommend ddr guard dogs to anyone looking for a trained dog or just wanting to get your dog trained this is the place to come very professional cant thank the team enough for all there help and training

it’s a very dog friendly place all the safe are nice and welcoming they have a real love for your dog they take the time to ask what you would like to work on and make you do the work with your dog also after you’ve watch them do it i think it’s good value for money and would recommend anyone to wake there dog there for training

DDR was originally recommend to us and we honestly can’t recommend them highly enough.

Ben and his team have a wealth on knowledge and experience and really get to know your dog before making any suggestions or putting a plan in place.

Vinnie has come so far since these guys have been working with him, and we as dog parents have also learnt a lot.

Bought a Doberman a couple of years ago for security due to crime being on the constant rise. Couldn’t ask for a better dog. Absolutely fantastic with my 3 year old and always ready for a bad guy. Can’t thank everyone at DDR enough. If you are looking for a protection dog look no further.

I would highly recommend DDR Training. My experience and results are life changing for me and my dog. Ben and his team are knowledgeable, very experienced and friendly. Honestly couldn’t rate Ben and his team enough. I would recommend them to anyone who asked. We have a dog who is aggressive with other dogs and on his third session with Ben and the team he was running sound the other dog as if he didn’t even know it was there! The results we have seen in these sessions have been incredible

We went to Ben after a random meeting with someone who was with their GSD. Ours was lunging and barking and his was trotting around, calmly greeting other dogs. He said that his dog was just like ours before going to Ben.  We immediately gave Ben a call.  Within a couple of sessions things were much improved. After 3 or 4 sessions things were amazingly improved.  Our dog is a rescue and very anxious. He hadn't ever bitten another dog, he just hadn't been socialised for the first two years of his life and he just seemed to want them to go away.  And when he told them that, he sounded terrifying.  After lunging and barking he took a long time to calm down, was always even more anxious, adrenalin high and he was generally pretty upset, leading to more hair triggers.  Now his levels are right down, he can walk past other dogs without panicking, barking, getting agitated.  

Not only are we much more relaxed on walks, he is much more relaxed and much happier, which is all we ever wanted.

I contacted Ben a few weeks ago regarding to our problems with our Doberman. She had symptoms of selective hearing and short memory if we didn’t treat her after asking something to do. More detailed she only wanted to do things whenever she felt like it.
Since then we changed the way we teach her, got her used to the crate a bit more, and started practicing her recall outdoors. Changed the collar we used as it was uncomfortable for our Dobe and was pulling. Ben and Conny introduced us how to use the prong collar correctly and we have started our journey to use the training collar too. We are making progress week by week thanks for them. Our dog is taking the mickey... still as she doesn’t listen all the time but it’s because we are not firm enough with her. We are working on that too.
So far progress after progress, slowly but surely. As we don’t have much knowledge it will take a long time but we are determined. Can’t wait for book Blanka in for the boot camp and see how much she improved around great trainers.
Time will tell if our stubborn princess will be able to do protection trainings or not, we understand not every single dog can be a guard/protection dog. We hope the best. Thanks for Ben who called me back after a few minutes I left him a message regarding to our struggles and booked us in for an assessment the very next day. Since the assessment we visit the DDR team weekly. We are in that lucky situation that all staff are willing to teach our dog in a different language and have a trainer who speaks the same language as us so if we leave our dog there for boot camp the words will be taught how we pronounce them to be more unique and safe if we find ourselves in a situation of an attack etc.
I am great full and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.
As I said we haven’t been clients for a long time but we are pleased how flexible and helpful they are (Ben, Conny, Charlotte and Tamás).

Highly recommend all the team at DDR , they have helped me with my 2 Doberman’s , feel lucky to have found them and appreciate all the help they have given me.

I came to Ben with my bully who was experiencing a lot of issues.
Ben has changed his diet, made his coat gleam, reduced his swelling and completely changed him within a week.
He is continuing to work with us to help him improve weekly.
Every member of his team are so friendly and helpful. They have made a very bad situation a lot lot better and I cannot recommend Ben and his team enough.

We have just come back from our second training session at DDR and we are so happy we chose these guys to help us. We went to them as we are having trouble with our 3 year old German Shepherd lunging randomly whilst out on walks. After just the first lesson we saw results, not just there but walks at home, as DDR educated us as well as our dog. As a result we are more confident on walks, which is half the battle. Our boy has started to walk better on the lead and respond to us much better. These guys are definitely the experts and know exactly how to handle dogs and the various problems they have. Ben himself plus the other trainers we’ve had contact with have been brilliant so far. Money well spent, I don’t think we would have got these results so quickly with an average dog trainer.

Ben and his team were absolutely incredible with my dog the transformation with her within an hour is unbelievable the facilities and knowledge are second to none i only wish I lived closer.
