A massive thank you to Laena and the Dogtainers team for making my cockatiel’s relocation to WA such a smooth, reassuring and chilll experience. From start to finish, everything felt calm, organised, and under control. I was kept in the loop the whole way through, and it was clear every detail had been considered and handled (e.g. navigating a quarantine process and the hoops we potentially had to jump through) .

What truly sets Laena apart is how she navigates the emotional side of pet transport. Dealing with pet owners (like me!) who are anxious about their pet's welfare can’t be easy. But Laena does it with such genuine care, patience, and professionalism that you instantly feel confident your pet is in the best hands.

This isn’t the first time I’ve worked with Laena - whilst my cat was being transported to WA, a few unexpected issues popped up, but Laena was quick to jump into action and resolve everything smoothly. She doesn’t just move pets, she provides peace of mind so that you can stop hyperventilating,

Both my cat and cockatiel are happily settling in now, and I can’t thank Laena and the Dogtainers crew enough for the care and attention they’ve shown. Absolute legends!

The booking was very easy, over the phone and I was provided with all the information I needed. The check in for my cat at the airport was very efficient and when I picked her up on the arrival, she seemed well treated, calm and recovered within minutes.

Everything was organised and calm with clear instructions on where to collect my pets from the airport etc. It was a stressful time for all of us, but the pet pick up and travel to our destination was really straightforward.

Dogtainers were great from the start. Communication with the office was quite good. The pickup was seamless. The driver was great at listening and reassuring me, and was very gentle and kind to our cats, and delivered them all the way inside our apartment

In summary, poor communication was the main issue. Sent invoices that were dramatically different from quoted price with less than 24 hours to pay. When things went awry they couldn't even be bothered to try and seek alternatives (another pet relocation company were able to step in). Generally just difficult to get information from and made our intercontinental move way more stressful than it needed to be.

Our main complaint was that when one of our dog's flights was unexpectedly cancelled, Dogtainers informed us that the next available flight was 2 months away. They told us they would do everything they could to get our dog to Canada. However, 'everything' didn't even include confirming with the airline when the next available flight was. Had they confirmed with the airline, both of our dogs could have flown together, albeit 10 days later than originally planned. Them flying separately cost us an additional $4000 compared to the original quoted cost. We needn't have paid so much extra had Dogtainers simply confirmed with the airline when the next available flight was.

I choose this company because of all the good reviews.
When we arrived at the airport there was no deluxe pet bedding in the hire crates, so I called the office, the person who answered the phone was unable to get hold of her manager so would call me back, she didn’t luckily I had a pet bedding in my car and was allowed to use this
The dog is a 40kg staghound so the trip Melbourne to Perth would have be extremely uncomfortable for him.
I am still waiting to hear back from this company to explain why this happened and why no call back.

Easily arranged and reasonably cost effective vs road transport. Less time alone for puppy vs road transport.
Excellent update from drive on drop off at airport with personal message including photos of puppy.

The team did an amazing job picking up our 2 dogs from the quarantine center in Melbourne and delivered them safely to our chosen boarding kennels on the Sunshine Coast. Being on the other side of the world we felt very vulnerable but Angie and the team did a great job. Amazing communication through out and delivered on time without any issues. We can't reccomend the team at dogtainers enough. Thank you

The dogs were picked up early for their flight to Brisbane and delivered to Kyogle nsw one hour earlier than scheduled. They were both happy and surprisingly not stressed as both suffer from separation anxiety. The dog carers seemed to genuinely care about their animals. I would also like to add that Dylan who took my initial call was most helpful in advice and followed through with the whole process. Thank you Dylan and all the team. Great job. Regards, Mary

It’s the 2nd instance I have used Dogtainers and the level of service is 5-star at both times. Dylan was easy to communicate with during initial inquiry, spent a long time over the phone answering all of my questions.
The team would send updates regarding the trip and are flexible with my reasonable requests to ensure both dogs are looked after for their long interstate trip.
Thanks you Tracey (Brisbane) for sending photos prior to boarding and Mick (Melbourne) for that long drive to deliver them home.

Dog tainers were very professional in every step. They made the whole experience worthwhile for the new families.

The man who picked up my animals was lovely, and true to his word he sent photo's of my cats when they reached the airport, and he texted me to let me know they were with the airline. When I picked up my cats after a few days boarding in Melbourne, the man who served me then was lovely as well. My cats seemed fine after their couple of days with Dogtainers. My pets appear to have been treated well during this experience. The only flaw I could have about it is I wish they had of sent messages when my pets arrived in Melbourne, and to let me know they were ok at the boarding facility - it would have been great to know. Apart from that I would say Dogtainers took good care of my cats and got them to their destination as promised. This was my first time hiring a service like this and I am satisfied with the job that was done. Thoroughly recommended.

Dogtainers assisted me in relocating my cat Kali from overseas and interstate. Jess assisted me with the overseas move and made it easy every step of the way. She was efficient, helpful, and polite. My cat was delivered to my door without any stress or worry. The interstate move was just as good. I highly recommend Dogtainers.

All worked really well - except for several addresses on related websites. Check the list of where the cargo places in one list - it is accurate.

Sooo happy that we went with Dogtainers to move our Golden Retriever Toast from Melbourne to India. Lisa from the Dogtainers team was always prompt responses and the entire move has been so seamless thanks to her and the team.

Pet relocation is such a daunting and stressful process, but we had so much guidance and reassurance from Lisa at every step of the process. Pretty much everything was taken care of by Dogtainers and we just needed to turn up for the scheduled appointments and drop offs. Very highly recommend, such a positive experience :)

Dogtainers Perth was the easiest and most stress free pet transport service. The whole process from quote to transport/delivery was seamless. Extremely helpful and super friendly team to deal with. I highly recommend this company to anyone.
