Avoid budget car hire budget customer service.
Should be called difficult rent. Refused car hire for having 6 points even though it states clearly on the website 6 points max with no other previous bans or convictions.

Ranted a van for a week to go to france with house contents. Website easy to deal with , local staff at Bootle, were very good, despite being very busy. Van available at stated time and in good condition (it did over1700 miles in the week) . Return was quick and easy. What more do you want? I'll use them again.
I've never rented myself but good friend of mine does all the time best hire company I know of. 5star renting tomorrow quick service....
A very simple and effective on line process (in contrast to several other rental companies who seem to require your life story)
The pricing are clear and well laid ou as are the vehicle descriptions
Made a reservation online, no problems. Arrived at depot, in time, on the scheduled day. All paperwork checked and okay'ed by Easirent worker. Was then asked for credit card with £1500 cleared funds on it.
Explained we didnt have a credit card with that amount but we DID have a debit card WITH that amount. This wasn't good enough, they would not accept it.
So the further cost would be approx £270 , non returnable, on top of what we paid.
We were not willing to do that.
So the booking was cancelled.
Bearing in mind, we didnt even look at a car, or step foot in a car, Easirent then proceeded to take 3 days 'rental' from what we already paid.
We felt totally scammed, aired my concerns with them, still didnt get full refund. Please be aware that if you dont have exactly what they want, and you cancel, they will take part of your money, for doing absolutely nothing.
Will never, even consider using again.

Very swift and easy. Competitive and flexible pricing.
Very straight forward, great value and confirmation sent by email.
Used this company a lot. Never had any issues. Great prices. Easy pickup and drop off. Always nice new cars. Great to work with.
Very easy to understand and the booking process was explained at each step, would definitely return when needed
Wouldn’t rent me a car even though I have a full licence which allows me to carry upto 12 passengers, upto a weight of 4.5 tonne and even when I email the office asking why they never replied to me. Awful service!
It did not state that they do not accept Australian licences, even the women in the office had to call head office to ask the question.
Will be using thrifty in the future as I was in and out of there with a car in the space of 5/10 Min.
