I can't praise the staff of eFoldi enough for their help in sorting out storing my scooter inside the Atherton Leisure Centre. Two weeks ago I was approached by a member of staff (later found out he was a Manager) who advised me that I was not allowed to park my scooter inside of the building because of the battery. I contacted eFoldi to ask about the safety of the scooter. They promised to look into the matter and on the 20th March I received an email that I was allowed to take my scooter into the Leisure Center; this was confirmed by email sent to Cathy at eFoldi, from the Managing Director of the Leisure Centre.

Brake adjustment
Popped in to have brakes adjusted on my efoldi, superb service as before.

The company is greedy, don’t trust their customers, they’re rude. and the scooter is dangerous
I’ve read reviews on here but now after 5 years experience with the company. I thought a more insightful review was merited
The scooter is OK except for a serious design fault.
While riding mine down a hill the brake cable snapped and there was no way of stopping it. I ended up shooting out into a road without any means of stopping. I can tell you, it was a terrifying experience. Thankfully there was no traffic on the road, otherwise I wouldn’t be here to write this review. I now worry every time I go down a hill
When I told them I wanted it serviced they told me the cost of the service including £60 carriage. I told them that they should pay the £60 carriage fee because it had to come back for the brake cable repair under their guarantee anyway. After some arguing I gave up and phoned again and organised for the scooter to go back to them for the repair and they then agreed to pay the carriage charge. After that was organised I asked if they’ll service it at the same time. That was the only way to get them to pay the carriage. They were being greedy because the scooter had to go back under guarantee anyway
Then there’s the battery. I ordered a new one costing £600. The one they sent was a used one. When I complained they made some pathetic excuse and told me that when they got it back from me they would send me a new on out, which left me without it for longer than it should have been. I’d paid them £600 and then they wouldn’t send the new one until they’d received the used one back. They don’t trust their customers even when they get it wrong
Then recently while out, the bottom A frame snapped in half. I phoned to get a price for fixing it and they informed me that they don’t hold parts for this scooter anymore but thankfully they said the part I needed was similar to the one on the replacement scooter. They told me the part was £100 and carriage was £60 and one hours labour at £70
They then sent an email and unfortunately, I didn’t read it completely because I saw the figure of £280 and as I was expecting something like that I just assumed that was the total price. It turned out that the £280 was for 4 hours labour. It ended up costing me £446 for a repair that should never have snapped in the first place.
They charged me all this even though the part was a replacement for a newer model and not for the scooter I actually had
I reported it on the efoldi facebook page and it seems to be a regular problem. When on facebook, after a few comments they made sure they had the last word and then turned commenting off so I couldn’t respond. I’m so glad that when it snapped I wasn’t out on my own, I don’t know how I’d have managed otherwise.
After the above, I would not recommend efoldi scooters because the company is greedy, don’t trust their customers, they’re rude. and the scooter is dangerous
Since writing this review I was contacted by Efoldi and the man I spoke to wasn’t rude but pleasant. He refunded the excess £210 and apologised
DON"T BUY, it's weak and the company is awful.
I've had my Efoldi scooter for nearly 5 years. I wouldn't buy another. It's been in twice for repairs to dangerous parts. One was the brakes that failed suddenly, the other was when it literally snapped in half at the frame when I was riding it. I am well under the weight limit for this machine. Fortunately when it snapped in half I was with my husband and some friends. So they helped me off it as the steering column was falling in towards me, almost trapping me in the seat. Then I sat on a wall while someone brought the car. The scooter was such a mess that it took us ages to get it in the car due to the tangle of cables. It's not a practical scooter. I only keep it because it folds up so small. You need both hands all the time for steering and the difficult twist-grip throttle. So if you get a phone call you have to stop to answer as you can't take your hand off the handle bars and drive with just one hand. It's too expensive for the design and comfort level and the seat is not adjustable so a small person can't sit back on it. I have to sit without support on my back or take a thick cushion. The batteries are unbelievably expensive and only give good power output for about 3 years. One good thing is they are lightweight so if you keep your old one you can take both to extend your trip. I've had several flat tyres but they can be fixed with an ordinary bicycle repair kit. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this expensive, weak scooter. how it got a design award I'll never know.
Superb service! Excellent product!
I have previously written a glowing review about the wonderful service provided by this Company & now another one! They really are second to none! I passed by on the off chance requiring a part on my husband's EFoldi Lite battery to be repaired! With a smile & absolutely no hesitation Darren took the battery to the service department within minutes it was repaired & as good as new at no additional cost! Rarely do you get such service in these times! The scooter is fantastic too! Ditto all the good reviews of this Company & their product!

A warning before you buy
A warning before you buy
These may be designed in the UK, they are made in China &: available for less than £400 each from China based websites, prices start at £279. NOT the £3,000 that the efoldi con merchants are charging
These efoldi mobility scooters are far from stable, their batteries are mostly high mounted and/or they have a very narrow track
Don't buy any of the efoldi range, there are far superior offerings from other companies that are far more stable, have a better range/battery life & are less than half the price
All of the so called customers in the efoldi UK TV ads are am-dram actors who undoubtedly received an efoldi as payment to class then as a customer-- they appear in other TV ads
Don't get ripped off by efoldi, buy from elsewhere or buy one direct from the Chinese manufacturer for a 90% discount on what efoldi charges for their nasty items

Efoldi Lite has changed our lives
We bought an Efoldi Lite and it changed our lives. I can put it up and down easily for my husband. I love it when we are on a bus I get up first pull the Efoldi off while my husband gets off. By the time he is off its up and ready, and the bus drivers just look amazed. We have been to so many places on the train in the last year which we would never have been able to do without it. After sales service is second to none, always on the end of phone to answer any questions. Fantastic company. Highly recommend

This was given to me as a gift
This was given to me as a gift. I am 81KG and 187 cm I find this too small for me. Battery range is well less than what is specified, went flat after 9 km after being fully charged prior. Very flimsy and Not worth the extremely expensive retail price. honestly, the specifications don’t match the price .. I highly recommend not purchasing one of these through my experiences. There are stronger less expensive options out there. Good luck.
BEST mobility scooter & best customer service
Absolutely LOVE my efoldi lite - it has given me my mobility and my life back!! The customer service is excellent too, the nicest small UK company they go above and beyond to help with any issues, repairs, queries - whether that be the Facebook online forum or in the shop in person. I had a service last year and the scooter was returned good as new and was sparking! Also just recently needed a slight repair which the engineer fixed on the spot, no problem and gave me some great tips too! Cant speak highly enough about the customer service.
As for the scooter, I have taken it on flights to Australia, Croatia, America, driven it on dirty pebbly paths, grass - and it’s still going strong. It’s extremely portable, as others mentioned a really small turning circle to get into tight spaces in most shops etc. It’s honestly been life changing and I can’t imagine what I would do without it!

Efoldi repair.
My Efoldi went in for repair. When I recieved it back, not only was it all fixed but they had cleaned it all up for me as well. I had mud on the tyres etc & they were spotless. They didn't have to do this & I didn't expect them too. So it was a lovely surprise & I feel they went above & beyond my expectations.

Mobility, scooter, I found it unstable on pavements, which had slight inclines?
Maybe because of three Wheels t am not sure.
The armrests became loose.I had to tighten one side but unused. It became loose again and I lost the bolts and washers On one side the other side became lo6, so I had to use a bungee chord. to tie up so. I didn't lose any more.
I took on a cruise As I thought , compact and easy to fold , which ir was. .
I found it ok On a flat surface bat as soon as any slight slope it became very unstable, l had a problem on one occasion as I was going along a pavement it was uneven and the scooter tipped over resulting in some nasty bruises
I bought the scooter because of itsv compsct size and easy folding. To take in the boot of the car for my ability to shop and accesd without relying on a cafer fir independence
I was overall disappointed in the efoldi lite and wish lhad did some extra research prior to buying it was an expensive mistake and experience.

I love my efoldi explorer and it's still going strong since 2019. Portable and with a small enough turning circle to use in most shops etc as well as high enough ground clearance to cope with paths and grass. Efoldi customer service is excellent, quick replies, a Facebook group. I recently had a service and problem fixed by engineer Will. Super helpful, small UK company who really care!

Yesterday I fell off my Efoldi scooter and hit my head against a parked car. I was shocked by how it easily keeled over onto its left side.
I was on the pavement, perhaps a slight slope down but I did not expect it to “capsize”

Brilliant little machine!
Can’t believe what this little machine can do. I have just test driven my new Efoldi explorer around a rural village with “iffy” footpaths. Cannot fault it.
I really did my research before ordering my Efoldi and it more than lives up to expectations. It is not for everyone who needs a mobility scooter and the manufacturers are aware of that. You need reasonable balance and a degree of core strength, but for those with a wide variety of walking disabilities it opens up a new world.
I have spinal stenosis and I was worried about the placement of feet on the front wheel. The Efoldi people sent someone out so I could try it out. The foot peg extensions do help, but I can manage without them. Because it folds so small, the back isn’t cushioned; and although for short distances that isn’t a problem I think the back cushion they sell is necessary for an all day outing.
The only problem I had was with the front brake lock which wouldn’t hold. After watching an Efoldi maintenance video I realised that the lock had bent slightly in transit and I was able to slip it back into place. All good now.
I am looking forward to doing things that in recent years I have been unable to do or struggle with because of the pain. Xmas shopping around the Metro Centre springs to mind.
Happy Christmas!

Terrible Customer Service And Flimsy Product
Every day something else falls off my Explorer. That's the "trike" one.
One of the main bolts failed during a long train ride. I jerry-rigged it, but it completely died a couple of days later. I rang Customer Service and a nice lady said someone would call me. They never did. I'm still riding round on it held together with a 75 p carriage bolt from a local hardware store.
The tyres puncture very easily. The brake squeaks. One of the "flip up" foot rests doesn't flip up anymore as the spring fell apart. On the whole it just seems like a product too flimsy for daily use. A massive disappointment for the price.
The idea is great but the implementation is shoddy.

Fab power chair, fab customer service
I am extremely impressed by e-foldi. We have an e-foldi powerchair and it really has made a huge difference to us. It is light, sturdy, easy to use and fits into the boot of my car without any trouble. It is easy to steer and is by far the best chair/scooter we have owned.
My husband unfortunately damaged the chair making it difficult to fold. I called customer service and explained the problem. I cannot tell you how impressed I was. They were polite, helpful, asked for photos to be emailed to them, identified the issue and agreed to send me replacement parts the next day.
Both the chair and customer care are excellent and I highly recommend e-foldi. They may not be the cheapest but they are certainly worth every penny.
