I had thee best time at Extended Stay America at Brunswick pike Princeton from the time I checked in on July 8 till my check out August 1. The receptionists Lakeicha (general manager) and TY were very courteous informative professional and down right friendly. My Coffee maker daily Charmine who I nick named SUNSHINE because she always brightened my day was so courteous kindhearted informative and went above and beyond by letting me borrow a toaster pots and pans with covers and a dish. I have to mention too the maintenance man was Johnny on the spot when my swivel wheels on my desk chair needed repair. He was also quick in removing trash daily. They all deserve a boost in pay. I recommend anyone who needs a room book EXTENDED STAY AMERICA you won't be disappointed. My rating is 5 🌟 well deserved. They all became my friends and hopefully my VA case managers Melvin Jessica and Madison will send me back to my room 228 sometime in the future. THANK YOU ALL JAMES A SAKOS
EXTRMLY RUDE NIGHT CLERK
I went to pick up a package just after 11pm but was stunned at how rude the night clerk was. He said loudly "WE'RE CLOSED", which OK, I can understand that, however it was the WAY he said it. The package was literally 6 feet away from him and when I mentioned this, he was even more rude and loud and said I would have to wait until morning, and then said "LEAVE" and rudely turned away and left me while I was still talking to him. The way he treated me was unbelievable and not the way anyone should be treated, especially however was the way he said it. This experience has made me feel terrible. I hope they find a new night clerk, thank you.

Title: Deceptive, Unsanitary, and Unsafe – Worst Stay Ever
Review:
My stay at Extended Stay America from May 21 to June 11, 2025 was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The property was fraudulently misrepresented—the advertised amenities on their website did not match the reality of the room.
The suite was infested with roaches, which clearly indicated that the entire building was affected. Roach powder was scattered across the bathroom floor, and one evening, I even had to chase a flying roach around the room. The furniture was either missing or damaged, likely chewed or torn by previous guests’ pets. The oven was filthy, as if someone had cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner, it exploded and was never cleaned.
To make matters worse, there was constant marijuana smoke throughout the building. It reeked 24/7, and management did nothing to address the issue. I suffer from asthma, and breathing in that noxious smoke daily severely impacted my health.
I have numerous photos documenting these conditions and am now seeking legal advice. Despite reaching out, I’ve been waiting nearly two months for a final resolution from corporate. It seems they’re hoping this egregious, deplorable experience will just disappear.
Extended Stay America should be held accountable.
Absolutely disappointed …
I had a hotel booked for Thursday night last week. We were 4.5 hours into our 6 hour trip at 5:36 when the phone rings to tell us they no longer have a room for us. I booked the room 3 weeks prior.
Thank goodness we were able to find another room, but it cost us more money. At the end of my very annoyed call I confirmed that they would not be charging my credit card.
now here comes the kicker they charged me a no-show fee. It has been over a week now and I cannot get anyone to return my call or my money!!!! I have both called and emailed the corporate office… customer service obviously it’s not a priority …
Review of Extended Stay America
Review of Extended Stay America – Pittsburgh – Monroeville
Two weeks ago, my wife and I stayed at this location, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The condition of the room left much to be desired:
The carpet had a strong odor and felt sticky.
The bathroom sink was broken, and there was no lock on the bathroom door.
Immediately, we conveyed our concern to the hotel staff and nothing happened.
Due to these issues, we were unable to sleep the entire night.
We again shared our concerns with the morning shift staff and decided to check out early. While we understand that occasional maintenance issues can arise, the overall condition of the room did not meet basic expectations for comfort or cleanliness.
Avoid Glen Burnie Extended Stay America at all costs!!…
The Glen Burnie Extended Stay America has bedbugs. The carpet is filthy. Spilled water on carpet. Mopped with white towel and it showed dark brown. When I showed it to manager, he said I would have to pay for towel.
My extended stay at the Extended Stay…
My extended stay at the Extended Stay in Tucson Arizona.
I always choose this Extended Stay because the staff here is very helpful and courteous. One person named Maria fixed the shower head and slow drain in my room within an hour. Also their rates are great.
Thanks Extended Stay staff especially Maria,

This is a HORROR STORY...I booked a…
This is a HORROR STORY...I booked a room for a convention a couple of months in advance with extended stay, thinking that its "FAMILY FRIENDLY" and "HOSPITABLE" however the nightmare that EXTENDED STAY put me through is one for the TRAVELER'S NIGHT MARE LOG; after 17 hours, I REPEAT...17 hours of traveling, I was EXHAUSTED to the fullest extent, all I wanted was a hot shower and a comfortable bed. I checked into the hotel, and was greeted by a very professional older male who checked me in quickly, so I can get some rest. Upon entering the room, I placed my luggage down and took a mediocre shower; when I laid down on the bed I felt this sharp protruding piece in the middle of my back as if the bed was on a tree limb and the rest of the mattress just hung over the rest of the tree; I tried my best to position myself not to be in the line with that protruding piece; after shuffling for about 30 minutes, exhaustion took over and I was asleep, perched on the protruding piece, coming from my bed. Around 3:30am, I woke up very sore, with a sharp pain in my back, so I took a shower with very warm water to ease the muscle in hopes of alleviating the pain. After, I called the front desk and informed them about the bed, and the lights (the room was oddly dim, not suitable for reading which I often do before bed); the lady informed me that she will move me into another room, as soon as her manager comes into work; I then informed her that I have to attend the conference for the morning session and I will return when her manager is on shift to exchange the room. Upon returning I was told by the Manager that she will not give me a new room because there is none available; I again explained my situation and showed her my itinerary, that I paid for the room upfront months ago for a couple of days, so I can attend the conference; Then she laughed at me, saying "oh well...." as if to say because of the broken bed and poor lighting I should be penalized for bringing up that issue; I then called the corporate office only to be told that they would get back to me within 48 hours; meanwhile I would have to find somewhere else to stay, and (the hotel manager which said her name was MEGAN) she said; she will not give me a refund, nor change my room, even though I only stayed a couple of hours and the room was deficient. I then went to retrieve my property that was left in the room only to find it cleaned out with maintenance form on the refrigerator (see photo of Maintenance Request Form). I shutter to think that this type of hateful service is still being perpetuated in America; overseas you would expect fraud on this level, but not an alleged reputable Hospitality Industry leader to defraud its customers and lie with impunity. Its been a week, and to date NO ONE FROM THE HOTEL NOR FROM PRICELINE (which I booked the hotel through, which I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN)...PRICELINE IS A RIP OFF!!!! you will not get professional service from the representative at priceline, that handle their disputes, they will tell you while you are STUCK WITHOUT A HOTEL ROOM THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FRAUDULENT. BUYER BEWARE OF PRICELINE.....
please see the photo of the maintenance request form from the hotel, MEGAN (the district manager for extended stay) lied about the room (I'm glad there is a record of it) and now I hope extended stay won't lie when we have strong evidence of the fraud that they committed.....BUYER BEWARE!!!!
BELOW IS THE "RESPONSE" FROM EXTENDED STAY, WHICH IS A ***LIE*** THEY NEVER INVESTIGATED, I CALLED PRICELINE several times AND THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND, AND STILL, TO DATE: NO REFUND.......This is a FRAUDULENT company, Management will lie and tell false narratives regardless of evidence to the contrary; please read their PATHETIC response in the face of written and visual evidence to the contrary. This company is dangerous in that, they will go to the extreme to lie and mislead their customers while simultaneously rendering you subpar service, BUYER BEWARE......
Response from the owner 2 weeks ago
Dear Osei, We deeply regret the discomfort and frustration you endured during your stay. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the bed, lighting, and the delay in resolving your concerns. It is especially troubling to hear of your interaction with our team and the lack of follow-up regarding your room and personal items. This is not reflective of the service or hospitality we aim to provide. We are currently investigating this matter internally, including reviewing the maintenance records and staff conduct to ensure accountability and improvements. We value your feedback and understand your disappointment. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances.
Sincerely,
Hotel Management

AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS place!!!
It was very difficult for me to walk through the foul smelling, filthy stained walls and floors of the lobby!!! But, I still wanted to give it a chance. Got my room card, walked around to the elevator - that was falling apart due to its worn out state, the doors scraped as it opened/closed and going up/down, YIKES! Got to the 3rd floor and I was smacked in the face with a foul stench of huge stains in the carpeting and walls! Down the left side of the hallway was a huge domestic shouting match between a guy and gurl, to the right was my room, held my breath and made it inside, the room matched the rest of the building. The bathtub didn't have any enamel left on it and the entire tub floor was brown stained! The desk had been nailed back together from it being busted up so many times, no way in hell!
I returned to the desk and left in fear of Hepatitis C, roach eggs, feces and body fluids stained carpeting all over! Then the guy at the front desk asked, well what's wrong? Seriously....you must be nose blind AND can't see that just two feet into your lobby is disgusting!!!
I think I will take my $129 a night charge back and use it towards my copay for a health check!
I WILL NOT BE LETTING THIS GO!
I WILL NOT BE LETTING THIS GO!! Your pettiness and discrimination cost us a lot of money today!!! I COMPLAINED FOR 2 WEEKS ABOUT THE SMOKE. You left a letter on his door on the first day we were there. I actually wondered why my room wreaked so bad the first night. Not a single person in management cared my toddler had to breathe that all night long.
I found out today that they will actually be so petty as to ban you from ALL ESA properties for leaving a valid—though not favorable—review. True story. Handed my son’s father a printed out copy of my review and everything. That is retaliation to go against something we were previously told is okay and to lock us out before we were able to finish with the room. That is retaliation at its finest. Isn’t that actually insane?
Also, I had to report them to the ADA for discriminating against us when we moved dangerous items out of reach of my high-support-needs autistic child. We had approval to move those items, yet they claimed we “trashed the room.” Do not stay at these properties if you are disabled. I will absolutely be making this known to my community.
This place is disgusting. We were forced to move rooms with our sick, disabled child because our neighbor was smoking so much weed and cigarettes in his room that my child began hyperventilating.
It took all day for them to facilitate the room change. We finally got access a little before 5 PM—with no confirmation for most of the day that they would even do it (they said they had to check if they had a room available first). They know this guest is doing this, and one look at the cameras would confirm he’s still doing it. Yet, he’s allowed to stay.
I returned at 8:41 PM last night to finish taking out the trash, sweep up (my toddler had a meltdown and threw cereal), and move items back to where they were. Instead, I was completely locked out. This is a safety issue—my child is profoundly disabled, and we disclosed this to the office when we checked in.
I will be reporting this to the ADA as discrimination.
We’re being kicked out because the room was not safe for my autistic child. We were explicitly told it was okay to move items upon check-in because of his disability. We did everything we could to accommodate his needs safely, and now they’re claiming we “trashed” the room. We’re being forced to leave after paying for the room—as if we didn’t have to scramble to move everything at the last minute due to their failure to address a guest clearly breaking property rules.
I went back to put everything back in place and was locked out. We even told them we were locked out, and didn’t get to finish unloading the fridge. But somehow, this is all being blamed on us.
Like the bed skirt was ripped when we got there. I assumed to cover the quarter inch thick dust under the bed with misc items from previous guests. But SURE I TRASHED YOUR ROOM.
I am LIVID.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. I showed up a little after midnight and they said because I didn’t show up on the same day I couldn’t check in and they wouldn’t refund me. The front desk guy was an absolute creep and the customer service was in some foreign country so I couldn’t even understand them. You’re better off at any other hotel.
They care for their customers dead as little as they do the live ones.
On March 14th my life long friend was found DOA in his room at the location in Deer Valley in Phoenix room 12 B. Extended Stay America has done absolutely zero to assist the authorities or correspond in any form to family and friends request for clarity on what the hell happened. So they care just as little of their customers dead as they do alive even when they die at thier facility. Their so called initiatives against human trafficking and assisting law enforcement is complete bull☆☆it. They choose to just not respond at all. Pathetic cowardly company.
Downtown Austin TX
we loved the location! was on two crossroads easy to bus anywhere and walk to a few nice spots along the river. easy to get downtown. The rooms have big kitchen and huge fridge was very nice. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and clean. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helped with any questions we had. The hotel is secure at night and we felt very safe. The only downside was they had water damage problems when we arrived and the hallways smelt musty and moldy. But the room didn't smell.
All in all great experience! great hotel in Austin downtown and I would stay there again!
I went up to the Kansas City area for…
I went up to the Kansas City area for business. The first room I was assigned was apparently in the smoking floors. I could hardly breathe. I requested a non smoking floor. I was given a room on the bottom floor but the cigerette smell was still overwhelming. The only difference I noticed was the intense smell of pot. I ended up having to go to another motel. I was very disappointed. Especially after paying way too much for a very sub par hotel.
Absolutely appalling hotel experience — avoid at all costs
St. Louis: This was hands-down the worst hotel stay I’ve had in years. The place is falling apart — dirty, musty, and clearly neglected. When we arrived, the front desk was completely unmanned. After a ridiculous 20-minute wait, the receptionist finally showed up, unapologetic and shockingly rude. Instead of acknowledging the delay, she *defended* her absence by saying she had “other things to do.”
Then came the absurd check-in process: she flat-out refused to check me in until my wife arrived with her ID — something no other hotel has *ever* required. After another 15-minute wait (my wife had stepped out briefly to get food for our child), she finally, and begrudgingly, agreed to check me in. Her attitude throughout was hostile and dismissive.
The room? A complete disgrace. Musty hallways with industrial fans blasting to combat humidity — loud and ineffective. The room had visible bugs. ZERO toiletries apart from a sad little bar of soap. And when I politely requested an extra towel set for our child, I was snapped at and told only two sets were allowed — despite having clearly stated during booking that we were a party of *three*.
This place is a joke. Disorganized, dirty, and staffed by people who have no business working in hospitality. Do yourself a favor — stay literally anywhere else.
Cockroach infested. May as well flush your money
I booked an overnight stay for my son in law. He arrived a little after 8pm.
He left at 3 am because the roaches were so bad and crawling all over the place.
I saw the pictures and the place was disgusting and a healthy hazard.
No breakfast (not that he would eat it from that place) and no coffee.
I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
Dusty and Dirty
We stayed in the Extended Stay America in Cranberry. PA, April 7, 2025. We smelled pot in the lobby, the first floor hallway and the hallway outside our room. Then we saw hairballs in the bathroom in two places, dust on the furniture, and hall floors that looked like they had not been vacuumed in days.
Bigotry
The fact your site in Atlanta refused to honour a booking to a trans woman because of who she is, is a powerful reminder that the US is a destination to avoid at all costs.
Never again, too bad too.
I have had pleasant experiences the past two years, but this year it was one issue after another. After requesting a handicap room with a walk in shower, they gave me a room with a tub. The handicap room they did give me reeked of bleach so much so, it made me sick to my stomach and the air freshener they used lasted all of five minutes, that's how strong the bleach smell was. The guest above me were banging on the floor after 11pm, quiet hour. Lastly, the tv didn't work. After several requests, maintenance came in, turned it off, turned it on and left. Shortly thereafter the sound went off again. I complained again but maintenance had left for the day. I left with one more night on my bill. Never again. Too bad too.
