Fandango is a horrible program. I spend more time trying to get back to where I was in the show than actually watching the show. It buffers alll the time, jumps to different places of the episode and is just all around horrible. VUDU should have never sold to them.

My experience was buying two tickets for an opera, going to the theater, and then learning the projector was broken. The theater could not refund my money and redirected me to Fandango.
There is no recourse through Fandango. Their customer contact URL is broken, no support etc.
They are not a trusted intermediary. They are scam artists.

Fandango is another example of increasingly poor customer experiences associated with longstanding web based services.
I bought $92 worth of movie tickets, selecting tomorrow 25th January and the program erroneously selected tonight 24th January for a show that started before I even bought the tickets!!
Then they won't even allow me to exchange the tickets (which is what I wanted; I did NOT want a refund) and they say I will have to wait and discuss with a manager, ~5 days from now!
I can understand not refunding tickets but not allowing exchanges for another date?
They do not honor their gift cards
They do not honor their gift cards. I sent an email to which they responded. The asked for a copy of the front and back of the card which I sent TWICE! I got no response on either email.
Don't purchase via Fandango use the Theater
During the Holiday season I was taking my grandkids to see a movie and made a mistake by selecting the wrong location. When we arrived to the theater, I was informed of my mistake and immediately started apply for a refund while i was in line to purchase popcorn. If i had purchase thru the theater chain, I could have gotten help but the refund clock in the app would not help me. It was a loss for the ticket prices and the high "inconvience" fee. My first and last Fandango purchase. Never again.
I would give a zero star to Fandango
I would give a zero star to Fandango! I purchased tickets and realized they were to the wrong theater. I tried using the chat. It was unavailable. So I tried to call to cancel my tickets and waited on the phone so long that my movie had already started so they refused to give me a refund. I simply just wanted a different show time at another theater and they refused saying sorry for the inconvenience. In my opinion that is NOT customer service. I will never use their service again and will tell all family and friends not to use the service either. This business is horrible to their customers!

I have 239 movies I paid for. I can't watch them now. Fandango put out a update killing millions of peoples apps on olders TV's. Including my 3 year old TV. They say it won't work anymore I have to buy a new TV to get my movies.. millions of people who purchased a product with the promise of movies anywhere on any device now are stuck with absolutely nothing. they put out a update killing these devices. And they can put it all back. I guarantee Fandango made a multi million dollar deal with a bunch of TV companies.,I smell a lawsuit coming. I want my money back. And so will millions it's a breach of contract! P
Complete scam
Complete scam. Was given a brand new Fandango gift card for christmas. Scratched off the code and entered and its not recognized. No customer support phone number on card OR site. Instead they have an email template that you send in and they get back to you within 72 HOURS.
Quite possibly the most infuriating…
Quite possibly the most infuriating website experience i have ever had. When watching a movie for free with ads, it would constantly kick me out of the movie. it would go back to the home screen and fully sign me out, and sometimes the movie i was in the middle of wont even show up in the library. Therefore, i must search for it again and skip to the time i was at before the glitch, which prompts 5 two minute unskippable ads. It will even sign me out during ads sometimes. Fandango does not deserve any of your money until they can get their shit together and make a functional service.
Scamming OneBlood partner customers
OneBlood gave out free movie tickets via Fandango. Redeemed on a Friday for a movie on Saturday. Clearly chose the right date but tickets were sent for Friday, seems after you select the date in first screen, then choose theater, it RESETS THE DATE with no indication to the user until the end. Of course I didn't notice the date being wrong pages later in checkout as I assumed it kept my selection. So then I get an email later Friday asking how the movie WAS, (during the showtime, not after). That is when I realized the issue, tried calling but as others noted they customer (Non)service refused to help. Luckily OneBlood supplied 4 tickets so I had 2 more. This time I was uber careful in redeeming and saw it reset the date on me without permission. Such a scam to have your site purposefully alter tickets back to current date after user selects a different one. I then Re-set the date again and it finally worked. Moral: don't user Fandango for anything ever again, go direct to AMC and choose a different day to give blood when they are not partnering with this scam site.

Cards don't work on site. "Unable to add card" is the info we get. Stop buying these crap cards as gifts. They are trash.
FandangNO Horrible service
Horrible service. Make it very difficult to use gift cards. Signed up for their Fan Club to save on their inflated services fees and it wouldn't allow me to use a gift card. Won't be using them again. Feels scam-ish.

I want to rank with no stars but this app does not allow such an option. Purchased tickets to a movie. When we arrived at the theater, the manager apologized and said all viewings for that movie were cancelled for the day due to a malfunctioning sound system. Decided to rush and purchase tickets (through Fandango) at another theater showing the same movie 45 minutes later. When the movie was completed, we contacted Fandango by phone and had to leave a message. Fandango finally responded by email, refusing our refund request because we did not call before the start of the movie. The movie never showed for that day, so the start time is immaterial. Thought this was a slam dunk refund request. Horrible customer service. Will NEVER purchase tickets or anything else from this company again.
Stream at Home is a scam
Responded to invite on the app to stream movie at home. It did not work. I waited in chat line for over an hour three days in a row until chat ended because no representative was available. This is a scam.
Refusing valid refund due to terrible customer service
Purchased tickets for a showing I couldn't make and was told I needed to contact customer service for a refund. Even though I reached out well before the movie started per policy, no one was available via chat or phone. Chat never connected, and I waited on hold for 40 minutes before giving up when calling. Now customer service gives me the same bs line that they can't refund me because I contacted them after the start time of the film. Total scam - if customer service isn't available, then the consumer gets screwed.
One star is too good for this company
One star is too good for this company. I received three gift cards, two for Fandango and one for MovieTickets.com (a Fandango clone). Entering the codes from all three cards failed. $75 down the drain for a predatory company. BEWARE THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!
This company is an absolute SCAM
This company is an absolute SCAM. They don’t give refunds for anything and customer service only states that they can’t do anything to help. They charged me for an account that I did NOT create or AUTHORIZE and although I had valid proof they refused to give me a refund. They then cancelled the membership because I don’t have access to what I was charged for and yet they still won’t issue my money back but are charging me for 3 months of service yet states because the account was cancelled the account is only valid for one month. SO WHY TF DID YOU ILLEGALLY CHARGE ME FOR 3 MONTHS WITHOUT A REFUND BUT YOU GET TO KEEP TWO MONTHS WORTH OF A CUSTOMERS MONEY FOR FREE?!!! I think I will be taking legal action because they is absolute FRAUD and based off their many 1 star reviews they have been doing this for a very long time to people.

BEWARE OF FANDANGO SCAM SCAM SCAM purchase tickets then got the tickets exchange for site credit.. tried to use the site credit and got an error message.. I called the help center and the help center is horrible they do not care to help customers told me I needed to wait 5 days for issue to be solved .. I had to let my 6 year old down who was looking forward to seeing a movie. HORRIBLE SERVICE !!
