We had a great experience, I wasn’t sure I wanted to change my car. Rob took the time with me including discussing options that included me keeping my car and having a tow bar fitted. I never felt pressured it took 6 weeks from first making contact to me actually making a decision to change my car. Rob made this a nice experience
Even when I had issues trying to take my private plate off my old far Rob and the team got it sorted so I could keep my private plate. Nothing is too much trouble and the after sales is excellent. Cannot tank Rob enough for such a positive experience

Four cars for them, latest one underwritten by their own warranty and first class care from Paul Woodhouse and team. Whilst i live circa 250 miles from Harrogate I will most certainly purchase from them again!

Recently bought my wife a car from GC Motors and engaged with Noah and Pete and was highly impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. We negotiated a price which was competitive and they were to prep the car prior to collection. Whilst the car was only one year old there were some small scuffs behind both seats. Upon collection they had replaced the parts with new ones at no additional cost which I think tey have gone above and beyond. The car looks and drives like new and will look to replace my car through them in the future.

Recently purchased a Land Rover Defender 110 from GC Motors. Very competitive price and the car now lives up to expectations, not only in aesthetics but also quality. The remote sale and handover process did face a significant hiccup, with the car initially being delivered with incomplete paint work, particularly of the rear bumper. Rob Angood was fantastic in organising collection and full repair of the bodywork. He rearranged delivery of the vehicle in as speedy a manner as feasible. I cannot fault Rob’s efforts to rectify initial oversights. Stellar communication and prompt action. Also very patient with the cash purchase that came with delays related to bank authorisation. I’m really happy with my new car and overall experience was good! Thank you!

Bought a second hand Dacia Stepway in March 2025 - immaculate car and very happy. Took the extended warranty just in case hoping never to use it. Gary was an absolute pleasure to deal with when I had a wee problem and sorted quickly and with no drama. Always happy to help, goes above and beyond. Last December, I parted with my dream car, a V8 F-Type Convertible, as my family was growing. Soon after, I came across a stunning Porsche Taycan at GC Motors and decided to make the purchase. The sales process was smooth, and the service was excellent. On that experience alone, I would have rated them 4 stars.

What truly pushed this review to 5 stars, however, has been everything that followed. The aftercare, warranty support, and ongoing communication have been exceptional. A special mention must go to Neil Abbey, who has been outstanding from day one of aftercare. From the moment I walked into the showroom, Neil made me feel at ease, comfortable, and genuinely excited about the purchase.

His professionalism, warmth, and dedication have turned what was initially a one-off exchange into a relationship where I now see myself as a loyal GC Motors customer. Thanks to Neil and the team, I wouldn’t hesitate to return for my next car. Five stars, without question.

I had an excellent experience buying my car from GC Motors. Warren, the sales guy, was fantastic throughout the process – very professional, a great communicator, and never pushy. He gave me the time and space I needed to make my decision, which made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend GC Motors to anyone looking for a new car – top-notch service from start to finish!

I had a very unique experience with GC Motors on the basis that the situation I was in quickly became complicated once I was involved in a collision the day before I was part exchanging my vehicle for the one I already bought.

GC Motors offered to repair the vehicle as they have a bodyshop as well, once their quote was approved a week later by the insurance I drove 130 miles to GC Motors, only for their engineer to assess the damage to the part exchange vehicle, and realise there is excessive internal damage, and the pictures I sent were only of the external damage. So the quote needed to be revised and another approval from the insurance was required, which takes time. In the meantime Paul didn’t want me to be stranded and offered to provide me with a hire car to use until the insurance approved the quote. Due to this kindness I made a better offer, and paid the difference between the original quote and the value of the car. I drove away my new car a couple of hours later once the paperwork had been processed. The money between the first quote and the value of the car was refunded to me once the insurance approved the second quote, about a week later.

If you’re considering buying a car from this dealership I would recommend them, my recommendation comes from a place of what you would expect from buying a car from a dealership, or rather what you wouldn’t expect. I wouldn’t expect the level of care I received during the purchase, after the crash and I arrived at the dealership, and the aftercare that followed after leaving with the new car. They’re straightforward, efficient and genuinely have your interest as their priority. The car was ceramic coated and immaculately conditioned. After this experience I would be more than willing to pay more than another dealership for the same car I liked, the service and peace of mind is worth that much to me.

Honorary mention would be Justin who was my direct contact, he kept me informed and played a vital role in communication under these exigent circumstances. Paul who offered me a hire car and accepted an in-between refundable payment to cover the damage to the part exchange during insurance delay. Craig the engineer that was assessing and dealing with the part exchange damage, he provided me with assurance and peace of mind. Finally of course Laura, who made the mundane legalities interesting and was nothing short of a pleasure to talk to.
