I recently contacted Giant Pay with a very complex case. This was picked up by Courtney Mark who spent a considerable amount of time helping to resolve my issues. He was extremely professional, thorough, and responsive, keeping me updated throughout the inquiry and resolving all of my questions, including the assistance of his colleague, Andre, who was able to provide access to a live chat transcript from 2020. Excellent Onboarding Experience

I had a smooth and well-supported onboarding experience with Giant. Nazmul was helpful, responsive, and guided me clearly through each step of the process, making everything straightforward and easy to follow.

Communication was timely and professional throughout, which I really appreciated.

Easy setup. Friendly team.

As someone embarking on their first piece of contract work at short notice, who just wanted something easy and off the shelf, Giant ticked all the boxes for me.
Setup was quick and easy. Help was always on hand for any questions I had and the team are friendly and quick to help.
I've not had reason to claim expenses yet, so I can't speak to that.

BEWARE: YOUR EXPENSES

If you claim legitimate business expenses from your employing company, Giant will TAX them. If it's travel-related expense, you can then submit a form to GIant to recover the tax. If not travel-related, they expect you to recover the tax from HMRC. These are LEGIT business expenses incurred on behalf of the employing company and they are TAXED by Giant. Really immoral. Sign with another umbrella company.

In response to your reply...
After many weeks of your company refusing to help me, you eventually refunded all the tax because, presumably, my contract was ending. However, you were very clear this was an exceptional action. If you think my explanation of your expense/tax process is wrong please say so on this review site. I know 100% that my description of your appalling process is correct. No direct employer or (to my knowledge) any other umbrella provider taxes expenses so why do you? People need to know this.

The worst experience I have ever had…

The worst experience I have ever had with an Umbrella Company, messed up my onboading at the start with poor communication. Now my tax code is incorrect and I am being taxed for Benefits in Kind which I was never made aware of. Message for support and no helpful response, told its with HMRC yet in all my years of contracting and using over umbrella companies I have never had this issue or as much of a struggle
