Roger was very helpful helping my wife choose some new walking shoes and suggested good accessories.
He was polite and not at all pushy, would definitely shop there again.

Real people and real service
Went in looking for Yak Trax, sealskin socks and wetsuit wash, came away with having ordered the wash and purchased the other items. Staff were friendly and helpful, signed up for the store card and immediately saved on all three purchases. What’s not to like. Better than an online experience any day.

A very straight forward exchange experience
We were assisted today by Morgan, in the Bakewell store. She patiently helped me exchange some waterproof trousers, finding different sizes until I found a pair that fitted. This was much appreciated

Roger and Tom provided a brilliant customer service. Kitted out with a new ruck sack, pants, gloves and gators. Great advice offered based on my needs. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Much better than Mountain Warehouse around the corner.

Tidy organised shop. Very friendly staff. Asked to use fitting room and sales associate very helpful. Had a pleasant chat with another sales associate at the till. Very welcoming and positive store highly recommend.

Boot purchase
James was incredibly helpful and sorted us with new walking boots. He helped us sign up to the go outdoors club saving is money on future purchases. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

The sales assistant James was ultra helpful whilst I was doing my Xmas shopping cannily helping me dupe the wife so she didn’t know what I was buying as it was a gift for her.

Excellent customer service and assistance.
Everytime I have visited this store I have had great customer service. The staff are knowledge, patient, and very personable. I was served by Roger on Dec 19th 2025 and he bent over backwards to help me work out what size I needed for my husband by going back through mine and my husband previous purchases.
This level of service is what keeps us returning to this store.

Visited the Bakewell store today to be greeted by store assistant James. James was very helpful trying to locate matching pompom hats. I was very pleased with my purchase and gained a wealth of information regarding local history. I would recommend a visit to this store.

Buying new walking boots
Roger was great about helping me buy a pair of waterproof walking boots. I tried different pairs and he got me walking round to see which was the most comfortable.
