GO Outdoors - Coatbridge Avis 

Great selection of camping stuff and Karen was particularly helpful in fitting my daughter for walking shoes.

Good selection of ladies waterproof jackets, although would have preferred some lighter colours.
Karen was extremely helpful and friendly

I have visited Go Outdoors in Coatbridge a few times recently to post parcels. On the first occasion, I waited at the Evri desk for over 5 minutes and no one appeared to help me. Then I noticed a sign saying to find a staff member to help! That would have been some trick as there were absolutely NO members of staff around! Eventually I walked all the way back to the checkout, which with mobility issues, was exhausting. There was a queue, and as I had work to go to I called over to the girl to ask if she could get someone for the desk. She snapped at me before I even finished my sentence. Eventually she glared at me, and snarled a question asking what I wanted. In response I was told to go back to the desk and wait. A few minutes later someone did appear, but lack of staffing caused me quite an issue and this female on tills should NOT be in a customer facing role!
On another occasion I went again to send parcels. Same scenario. No one on the desk, no one around. The man waiting there already said he’d been told to come to the desk and had been waiting some time.
I eventually trawled the nearly empty shop floor until I found a staff member. I called, “Excuse me, “ several times, only to have him turn his back, walk off and have me chase him around the store! Eventually catching him I was told he’d be there as soon as he could as he was serving a customer! So, in a huge store like this, it seems one person on the floor is sufficient?
He did eventually arrive to deal with us, but only after another wait.
Apparently, he was the only person working, but I realised as I walked back to the exit later, that there were two members of staff, in uniform, standing near the exit having a chat! Surely if they are in the floor they are there to work?
I will not be going anywhere near this store in future.

Chloe M was extremely helpful and patient as she answered all my questions and stay with me until my purchase was complete. She made my experience a very positive one. Well Done Chloe

I had a great experience in the shop, I was able to have a look around and was offered some help when trying to find what I needed. Karen was very helpful in helping me choose new boots and gave me advice and Georgia was very helping in selecting camping gear and fitted my bag for Me.

Visited today for some new walking boots. Karen was extremely helpful and approachable, giving great advice to get the best fit for our son :) The girl on the till (didn't catch her name but receipt says cashier 008!) was very friendly. Great customer service and knowledge all round!

Excellent service from Ross and Faith when we visited the Coatbridge store. Courteous and helpful throughout when dealing with a purchase query, then taking the time needed to patiently and efficiently sort a difficulty with my GO member’s card. Thanks again

Me and my mum came in to the Coatbridge store today (27/07/26) asked a for some help at the fishing department and Women (Chloe. C) helped us out with what rod and reel would be perfect for my mum, she was so polite and helpfull and knew what she was talking about. We would both like to say a big thank you to Chloe for her service. The Store needs more fishing stuff.

Wow, just wow! The service we received from Coatbridge today was excellent to say the least. Went in with my son to grab some last minute essentials for his first wild camping trip and Georgia made the experience seamless for both of us. She showed us where the items are stocked, fitted my boy's rucksack, gave us recommendations based on her own personal experience. With her help we got everything we needed in no time and still have time to browse the sales section 😊. Thank you Georgia, absolute legend!

Visted the store on Saturday looking to purchase our first tent, given we are completely new to camping we got help from Georgia - she was very friendly and informative, although Coatbridge never had either tent we looked at in store she helped check stock availability elsewhere. I couldn’t find the correct size of trousers. The young girl Farrah scoured the shop floor and found the size I wanted. She was very helpful and friendly with a lovely smile.

Great experience in the Coatbridge store today, was looking for items that I could l t see on the shelf, I asked the store assistant Chloe C. & (Calvin) if they could help and although she had just finished for the day, went out her way to help me out and find the item I was looking for.

First class service from stuart and the team this morning. I had an issue with a tent i had purchased and went back to the shop for advice they handed the situation quickly and with no issues whatsoever. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for our outdoors equipment. 1st class service grate prices excellent service

I never write store reviews. However, after having an incredibly disappointing experience at the Edinburgh store trying to find walking boots (sales person just not really interested despite the fact I was about to spend £200-£300, not coming back after giving me shoes to try on, and not really asking me anything to to gauge other options. They didn'thave my size in one particular boot, so when i asked if they can check to see if another store would have them I was told a flat out "no"!! There was no effort to maybe check. My partner ended up calling around instead so we left).

Well... i then had the BEST experience at the Coatbridge branch. A lovely woman called Georgia was AMAZING! I feel she really went above and beyond for me. She asked me questions about what type of thing I was after and she was super knowledgeable, friendly and suggested a pair of boots I'd never even looked at. Safe to say they were perfect and I left having bought them. Georgia genuinely seemed excited to talk to me about hiking and that these would be my first proper pair of boots. This was honestly such a breath of fresh air seeing as most retail workers tend to act like they hate their jobs, and especially in comparison to the Edinburgh store. She also recommended some insoles and let me try them with the boots in store which I also purchased. I saw her at another point in the clothing section where she suggested some trousers. If it wasn't for employees like Georgia then shopping would really be a miserable experience. Companies need to start recognising employees like this....I spent £0 in the Edinburgh store....and over £300 in Coatbridge so hopefully the company can do the math.

Go Outdoors Coatbridge. Chloe M and Stu. Both outstanding people with excellent service. Both couldn’t do enough to help me. Delighted with the service.
