GO Outdoors - Launceston Avis 

I visited this branch to buy a new pair of walking boots as the sole was coming away from one of my current boots that I had bought six months previously. The store assistant Charlene said that the sole should not be coming away like it was after six months. She spoke to the deputy manager Linzi who agreed and they gave me a full refund which I used towards a new replacement pair. I did not ask for a refund but they were so conscientious and customer focused that they noticed the manufacturing fault and refunded me without me asking. I wasn’t expecting one. BTW my new boots fit perfectly. I will definitely be returning to this store to buy boots when the new ones need replacing. Excellent service. Thank you.

I needed some walking shoes the man that served me was quick and efficient, while I waited for my wife I then went to the counter to pay and Emilia served me was polite when my phone rang and I answered it as it was important I apologised as I never liked that when I worked in a shop.

Emilia was so helpful and friendly. Best Go Outdoors store ever!

Launceston branch is a gem of a store all the staff ivd met are just great
Today I wanted new boots I know the type of boot I need and Mandy very quickly understood just what I needed and my particular sizing problems Mandy patiently fetched me a number of boots to try and I ended up with some mammut ducan 3 high gtx my problem is I really need a 7.5 but this size is not stocked and many brands like scarpa no longer make a boot in this size
The mammut however are snug fit hence my final choice

I went into the Launceston store today to purchase a kettle. I couldnt find the one I wanted so I asked one of the staff- Polly was really helpful and located the item for me, she was polite and friendly, great customer service.

I had an issue with some walking shoes and from the first phone call to the service in the shop the whole experience was easy and stress free.

Customer service is 10/10 at this store. Very friendly. Only down side is too small and doesnt stock angling equipment. 🤞cornwall gets a bigger store at some stage

Was looking for walking boots, I’ve got very wide feet and ended up having to buy a pair of men’s! I was served by Mandy who was absolutely fantastic in her care that I got the right ones. She probably got 10 pairs from the store room for me. I ran out of time on Thursday so went back on Friday and she was still so helpful. Thank you so much Mandy, you’re an absolute star ⭐

Came in for some last minute 10 Tors equipment. Staff were all extremely helpful in ensuring we were able to get what we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for outdoor camping equipment.

Thanks to helpful Sarah, helping me find a size 13 walking shoe. Most brands don’t offer size 13, so Sarah spent her time freely, checking which ones did and Go Outdoors had a good selection at their Launceston branch, to choose from. I chose some Gortex Merrells. Happy customer!

We visited Go Outdoors in Launceston today under some pretty stressful circumstances after our motorhome broke down early into my Cornwall Coastal Path walk.
I honestly can’t thank the team enough — especially Linzi and Jack, who went completely above and beyond for us. They took the time to help us find everything we needed to quickly put together a camping setup so we could continue the journey, and they did it with such kindness and patience.
Not only did we receive the membership discount, they also very generously gave us an additional discount once they heard about our situation and that I’m walking the coast path to raise funds for a small counselling charity back home in Crewe.
At a point where things felt quite overwhelming, their support genuinely made a huge difference to us. It wasn’t just about the equipment — it was the way they treated us.

I went to GoOutdoors to look for hiking boots. If you live in Cornwall its certainly the best selection of quality but not too expensive outdoor gear of all kinda. I was super impressed. Beat of all customer service. Mandy helped me search through the boot selection, really knew what she was talking about. For me a store with a such a good selection, quality stuff, excellent customer service and a calm atmosphere is where I would choose to spend my money every time. You will never get that with online shopping.

Overall a great store! The variety of stock is amazing meaning you can easily find everything you need. The prices are competitive and being a member is definitely worth it.

On this specific occasion Mandy was of great help, very knowledgeable, giving me enough space to not feel crowded but there when needed :)

Had the tricky task of finding a pair of hiking boots to fit my son who is 'between' sizes. Charlene spent a long time helping him find a pair of boots that fit. She was absolutely amazing, and so patient with him. She is an absolute asset to the store and very knowledgeable on the pros and cons of each brand.
