Very easy to order on-line for home delivery. Delivery staff were helpful and friendly.

Having had a small problem with the order, it was very easy to contact grove nurseries. The issue was dealt with swiftly and the customer service we received from Diana was exceptional!

We had a lovely and delicious lunch today at Ivy House! The staff was so accommodating to my elderly and disabled Mum, which we so appreciated. And they even made me a fabulous tuna salad which I so enjoyed.

We will definitely be coming back as it was lovely to walk around the garden centre and Mum loved looking at the beautiful plants.

My visit to Groves yesterday was so disappointing. My wife and I over Christmas had decided to get a false tree for next year. We had seen an advert that Groves had 1/2 price Christmas stock, so we decided to visit. We found a pre lit one on display quite expensive @ £251.99 it was thin and ideal for the space we had for it to stand. We asked a very pleasant lady who went and asked a young man, who she called Chris, where she could find one of the trees. She spoke very tentatively to ‘Chris’ who we felt was her boss and actually apologised for bothering him! He said nothing to her or to me but went away and came back with a box ready to pack that actual tree. I asked if the ex display model was the only one left and it was. So I asked if there could be any further discount as the lights had been on display constantly for several weeks with customers playing around with the settings. He snapped back ‘That’s why it’s half price.’ I replied that everything was 1/2 price and then asked if the lights had any guarantee left on them to which he said sarcastically ‘Right you don’t want it then?’ and started to walk away in a huff! I said ‘I asked you politely so you obviously don’t want to talk about it to me then’ and he just kept on walking further away. It felt like I was in Faulty Towers!! So I say to you Christopher William ( I’m sure that was you) that you are a lucky lad having been born into such a prestigious family business. £125 may come easy to you, but it doesn’t come easy to me and I should be allowed to ask a few questions without you being absolutely rude. What would have happened had we bought the tree, packed it away and it didn’t work when we plugged it in next Christmas? I doubt that you would care. We have spent quite a few pounds with Groves over the last 30 years. Our loyalty card is now in the bin and we will be turning right towards Ottery St Mary for our future garden requirements. Finally…. should one day, as it has always been so, that Groves is handed down to you and your brother, I suggest you learn some humility and HR training, because if you carry on treating customers and staff with your seemingly belligerent attitude, there will eventually be nothing left of the famous Groves Nurseries & Garden Centre.

My initial delivery was very prompt but arrived damaged. Quick communication with Charlie resolved the situation and my replacement star was sent out immediately. Thank you so much for great customer service especially so close to Christmas!
