Bike shed doors painted and made such a difference to the area.
Terrible company with revolving door for staff! We are constantly dealing with someone new and they have no clue!! Fees up every year at least 10% (lucky them!!!) but service gets worse and worse. A company that doesn’t care one bit about their customers, just lining their pockets with customer money. The “top brass” should be ashamed.
The staff I have been involved in have been very helpful,I feel the management have to have a more hands on approach, they should be coming out to view the property as a lot on work is needing done to the outside and inside of the building, and if left it will only get worse, also they should be checking the gardens of the property as I feel grasscutting is just not enough as we are paying a lot to the factor and not getting a lot back
With my experience when contacting various different people each time over several years to follow up on requests never have I felt that someone was listening and acting on my reequests than Rebecca Hodge. Although the work I have requested has not been completed for the first time ever I have been kept up to date with progress and actions taken. Generally I feel that H&P are not listening and frankly don't care. It's always a chore to get requests acted on. It takes months to get simple things done and in some cases years. Sorry but this is the truth.
Worst factors ive ever dealt with only care about taking your money and telling people they will deal.witj things then change their minds
Lyndsey has no customer service whatsoever. Defo in the wrong job 4 years of dealing with them.
I would rate a zero if I could. Complete lack of any regard for the homeowners, only concerned with how they can extort us for their next fake bill. We are four blocks of 7 flats, within my block 5 of the homeowners signed a petition with me contrary to the ONE council tenant who had raised a complaint about the fire door. H&P not only ignored us but then CHARGED us to install a dangerous and restrictive lock, completely counter to the integrity of the building which we all own a share of! In my town our four blocks are literally the highest turnover of property sales within 5 miles and the last two landlords to sell have said the reason was a direct result of the astronomical factor fees enforced by H&P, regularly eating up more than 50% of the rental income. An utterly devious and dishonest company - I don't trust anything they come up with because as home owners we have proved several times that their so-called 'urgent' repairs are untruthful.
HPMS Director Gordon Buchanan, I've just heard Information Commissioner John Edwards resigned before he could be terminated. The HPMS lord and saviour is gone. The Good Law Project and Open Rights Group recently launched an action against the ICO accusing it of "brushing aside thousands of public data complaints" After over 7 years of attempting to obtain my personal data (call recordings) to evidence an act of fraud I now know I am not the only one. Director Gordon Buchanan, following your act of deception, substituting my original call recordings (native WAV files with encryption) sought with incomplete recordings encapsulated in MP3 files which don't even qualify as copies as you destroyed the metadata, HPMS Team Leader Hannah Rowlands informed me my email address is blocked from HPMS systems which prevents me seeking my original call recordings. My complaint remains active with the ICO, I now know why the Chair of the PACAC was so keen to support my complaint however an MP beat him to it. If the PHSO cannot force the ICO to cease endorsing HPMS Human Rights abuse of my personal data the EDPB certainly will. As the Government now has the opportunity to appoint a regulator with teeth I suspect my complaint will be resolved by the UK to ensure the administrative fine HPMS will need to pay is beneficial to the UK and not Europe (you know I live in Cyprus now). Anyway, this is your chance to report the availability and integrity breaches your deception of the court created after which the EDPS will give you guidance to overcome what ever obstacle you currently rely on to avoid accountability for altering my call recording to avoid a loss and have me pay the costs of HPMS incompetence. Don't blow it.
This is a bit like the Post Office, abuse of authority and power. That's one of the points I made to the Ombudsman and I even raised the point, am I the only one. Well, following Commissioner Edwards resignation and the BBC Article I need not ask the question now, I have that answer.
I trust I will hear from you soon?
I have only excellent comments so far for Hacking & Paterson's management of our building in St. Andrews -- I can't speak for other parts of Scotland. I had received very positive feedback from a friend whose St. Andrews property is one of this factor's clients, and she had been impressed with their proactive work.
Our building has appointed them three months ago, and already so many problems that were impossible to get fixed with our last factor, Ross & Liddell, have been resolved. The cleaning firm that they have appointed is entirely reliable and friendly, and they have quickly found other contractors to resolve other historic problems involving repairs.
The Property Managers are prompt in response and very helpfully organised an owners meeting to hear and respond to all our hopes and concerns about our property's maintenance. We're all so relieved to find a factor who listens and acts on issues!
While researching factors, there wasn't a quick response from H&P's new business/sales department, but thankfully, we knew the actual property managers for our region were great, so we persevered and did receive all the information and answers we sought.
I moved into my property in February this year and have been assisted immensely by H&P Management services
all conducted in a highly professional manner.
I like the allocation of a dedicated property manager (Hannah) to me which is pivotal in building a friendly relationship.
Queries are answered promptly either same day or next by Hannah.
Jane Marshall at H&P managed the whole external painting works to my building extremely well and I would recommend H&P. Thank you.
Very simple and slick company to deal with compared to others I have used. TBH they are a mile better and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
My property backs on the land that hacking & paterson factor and for 6 years they have palmed me off to get the land maintained. The trees back on to my fence and this has been damaged with overgrown trees and ivy and my summerhouse roof has been damaged once with overgrown trees and is now happening again. I phone weekly and get told someone will call me back and no one ever does and Ive tried having my MP involved. They tell me that if the residents dont want to carry out the work they dont have to. I have had enough, surely someone must be liable for damaging my property. It is in the houses deeds that they have to maintain the land and in 14 years no work at the area where my house is have they done any maintainance
Mike and Abbie have recently taken over at Hacking and Paterson in the management of our 20 unit housing development. They faced unresolved maintenance issues when they started and have turned things around within 12 month by their expertise, good contacts in the building trades and hard work. Many thanks to both of them.
Rebecca Hodge dealt with my enquiry superbly well and completed my request with ease and kindly consideration. The service given by her was first class.
H&P have always provide clear guidance and support when required.Their working relationship with the residents has been a significant factor in maintaining the standard of the estate.
Perhaps consideration should be given to the use of social media for more immediate responses than always using email.
The company did a good job at what I thought was a fair price for the service provided
My five star review is not reflective of my entire experience with Hacking and Paterson. I have lived in my flat for over 7 years and in that time have received some bad experience and lack of support. However recently a member of the team (I can only assume a new member) has been a wonderful help and has really implemented great support mechanisms for the residents of my flat - I need to mention them by name - Annie Railley! They have been a great support with our recent vermin issue and have been quick with communications - they are also resolving issues before residents are aware of them. They have been a great support and a breath of fresh air in all honesty. Therefore this 5 star review is solely for them alone.
I have found Hacking and Paterson in general, to be very hands off re sorting out issues relating to the flats where I stay.
However, one stand out is a girl called Isla Ward, who so far has been very helpful and responsive to emails and phone calls I’ve made to her in relation to the decor in my close and issues relating to bicycle storage.
Well done Isla!!!
Terrible communication. Expensive work carried out that has not been agreed to. It’s assumed customers agree if they don’t disagree! Now Trying to terminate the contract to get a new factor and they’ve been obstructive and unhelpful.
Overpriced for what they do and prices rising every year. Now that as a community we have decided to change companies, they refuse to leave making thing very awkward. Avoid!
