Some years ago...It was a scam. And they blackmail me to get my money back.

Some years ago, I posted a very negative review (see below) as they did not want to refund me a course that was a scam.
1 week later, they proposed me to refund me if I delete the review (something normally forbidden on trustpilot as it is purely "blackmail"). But that's what I did to get my money back. But some years later...I hear that they are still in business.... So I put it here again for information and to prevent issues to people.

Original review (2020):
One week ago, I was looking for an online course (self-paced) to train myself to lean six sigma in order to pass the black belt certification.
Going here and there on the web, I finally check the different accredited provides on IASSC website and find Hudson which provides for about 750 euros a training for six sigma + the exam.

The issue is that to my eyes, they act like scammers regarding their course ! But I can’t say they lie about it...

1) They inform on their site that the course comprises 72 hours of video and reading material + 30 hours of supplementary course reading.

Comparing this information with other available courses on the web providing at least 60hours of videos, it is obvious that one can expect at least around 50-60 hours of video. Especially to be well prepared for an exam. Just logic !

But actually, Hudson provides only 5 hours of video lectures. Less than 10% of the 72 hours !

The rest is just reading material. So they don’t lie with their words. But it is just scam to say that this course is serious with 5 hours of video. Why buying 400 euros (without the exam) for pdfs where I can get 3 to 4 books on Amazon on the subject. Even the well-known CSBB primer costs only about 80 euros.

2) Everywhere on their site, one can find big logos about a “7 days guarantee”. It is also the case on the page of this course.
So I asked for a full refund after having seen that I paid 750 euros for 5 hours...

And finally, I got for answer that this course is not covered by the 7-days guarantee as written on their page. And yes it is true ! They don’t lie on this fact too. It is written by one sentence at the end of the page despite the big logos at the beginning of the page about the guarantee.

After some more investigations, I saw on one of their page that actually most of their courses with exam are not covered by the guarantee...

As you can understand, these both points highlight a scam for me as they intentionally blurry the information so that you buy without really knowing what you are buying.

Following this, I contacted them kindly to explain my point of view and the fact that actually I don’t want to use this course anymore and that I didn’t have used the course except the introduction videos to check and confirm the duration of 5 hours.

Commercially, they just explained me that a lot of people succeeds the exam, that they had received great reviews (which seems also a scam but I can’t prove it), and that I will never be refunded because it is written.

Honest review

They responded very quickly to my interest request, a representative called to explain the details and made sure the course was suitable to my needs. The call was informative, and the representative was patient as he answered my questions.

Overall, it was a good experience and I can not wait to start my course. I would definitely recommend them to my peers.

I’m writing my review again as the company reached out to apologise for their mistake. They acknowledged their error and admitted they shouldn’t have been rude to customers, which I appreciate. They even offered compensation, which I wasn’t expecting! I’m willing to give them another chance—they well deserve it. ❤️

Terrible

Hi there , i apply for cyber security in November and i wasn’t in Uk till yesterday, and i had phone call from customer advisor from very unpleasant man very arrogant , i ask him question what courses he calling about and he raise his voice and don’t even listen to me what i want to say , he just told me don’t apply ever again for this courses . I didn’t catch up his name , if he don’t know how to talk with customers , people he should change his job . You should not employ people like that with rud attitude .

I was shopping around for some time, spoke to several other companies, and finally picked Hudson based on the customer interaction. I spoke to Sara, who answered all my questions and simplified the enrollment. So far so good. I will update this review once I complete the course.

No pushy sales people

I enrolled on a cyber security course. Roy explained how the course and finance options worked. He wasn't pushy at all. After he gave me all the information I asked for, and told me to take my time and have a think about it. I signed up the next day. So far I'm really enjoying the course. The customer support is excellent. I feel I'm in good hands.
