Moving Overseas

Hello Evelyn,
I was going to contact you today to let you know how truly grateful I am that I chose International Movers Network to help us move our personal belongings. You, your team, and all of the crew members who worked with us from start to finish have been very efficient and responsive during every step in the process.
I am very grateful that I was able to get quick responses to my many questions during what was a very stressful time for me, my 89 year old mother and my daughter as we made the big move.

Signed Contract Means Nothing to IMN — They Doubled the Price Once They Had Our Things

We hired International Movers Network to ship our household goods from Boston to Melbourne, Australia in December 2025. We chose them based on their reputation and BBB A+ rating, not because they were the cheapest option. We provided a detailed inventory, asked about every possible surcharge in advance, and received written confirmation from their representative that the agreed price was all-inclusive with no additional fees.
Once they had our belongings in their possession, they demanded USD $7,991 — more than double our signed contract price of USD $3,520 — and refused to release our goods unless we paid in full. Our belongings have now been sitting undelivered for over 3 months beyond the promised delivery date, during which time we had to spend over USD $10,000 replacing essential household items. The shipment includes irreplaceable personal belongings from childhood that we would never have shipped had we known this would happen.
We submitted a detailed formal legal dispute outlining our position. John Zohar ignored it entirely and instead instructed their Australian agent in a single line to "proceed with abandon the shipment" — while the dispute was still active and without any legal process. His only direct response to our formal complaint was: "I will be glad to meet you with any court in NY and proof to anyone who may request the ruth."
This is not a payment dispute, this is a company that waited until they had our possessions before demanding more than double the signed and agreed contract price, then threatened to destroy everything when we pushed back. Do not trust IMN with your belongings.

IMN offers a free virtual meeting to estimate shipment volume.
November 18, 2025 — Karla emailed Sasha with a list of items. Based on the estimated volume of 357 CF, IMN provided a quote accordingly.
November 28, 2025 — Benjamin emailed Sasha and John with the signed documents, a list of items, and concerns regarding the final volume and target rate for a 20' container. John replied with an estimated volume of 400–500 CF before placement on pallets and advised that IMN is unable to match the rate the client may have received for a 20' container.
December 3, 2025 — Karla emailed Sasha requesting an updated quote based on 440 CF.
December 5, 2025 — John emailed the revised 440 CF quote, maintaining the same price per CF as originally quoted on November 18, 2025.
December 9, 2025 — The client emailed Sasha requesting to proceed with the service based on a minimum volume of 200 CF. Sasha updated the contract accordingly, emailed it to the client, and the client signed it along with all other required forms.
December 22, 2025 — IMN's crew arrived and packed all requested items.
December 24, 2025 — IMN emailed the client an updated invoice based on the final measured volume, along with the warehouse dock receipt, in accordance with the signed contract terms.
January 19, 2026 - IMN emailed with the vessel sailing confirmation details.
To date, the client has not responded to subsequent correspondence and the outstanding balance remains unpaid, despite repeated payment requests from IMN as required under the signed contract.

We hired International Movers Network to transport inherited mid-century furniture from Florida to Sweden. It turned into a personal catastrophe for us; the value of what we shipped was highly sentimental. One of three armchairs never arrived, nor did an original painting by the local Key West artist Ray Rolston. These items are impossible to replace, but what was even worse was that the company became completely unreachable and stopped responding to emails when we later tried to trace our belongings.
The staff who came to pack and transport our items were elderly, lacked professional equipment, and were in no physical condition to move heavy furniture. A cabinet that was meant to be shipped together with the other furniture, they refused to take, claiming it was impossible. We had carefully measured and documented everything that was to be shipped and had reached an agreement with the moving company, yet we received no price reduction on the total shipping cost.
Almost all of the furniture suffered minor damage, two chairs were completely broken, and the worst part—as mentioned—was the loss of the painting and the armchair. And there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. The Dutch partner company responsible for the transport in Europe was able to show through shipping documents that the painting and the armchair were never shipped from the United States.

Excellent move experience from California to Spain

We are pleased with all aspects of our recent move from southern California to Valencia, Spain, with International Movers Network. This was our first international move. We chose IMN because they offered a personalized, complete door-to-door solution for our move. Their approach to coming up with a preliminary quote made sense to us, and they worked with their partners in Spain to prepare a final quote that included everything that would be necessary to complete our move. In the end, the final quote did include everything and there were no extra charges of any kind. It was a pleasure working with Sasha, who helped answer all of our questions in advance of booking our move, Evelyn, John, Gal, and our move coordinator in Spain.

We were pleased that our shipment departed from a local port within a week of our move and was shipped directly to Valencia. The moving company that packed our furniture and belongings in California was excellent and did a great job packing everything safely and efficiently and organizing the shipment. Our shipment arrived in Valencia and cleared customs without issue. The moving company that moved everything into our Valencia apartment was excellent. They were very skilled at positioning and working with the outside elevator and everything was delivered, furniture was unpacked and put back together if chair or table bases had been taken apart, furniture was safely placed where we wanted it, it was all done very well and was efficient and organized.

We could see that all numbered boxes and items were transported effectively. All items arrived in excellent condition and were unaffected by the move, including fragile items and small appliances. I would definitely choose IMN again if I were to do another international move. My advice to others doing such a move would be to build plenty of extra time into your schedule to receive your shipment after its scheduled ETA. Our shipping container arrived in Valencia about 4 days after its scheduled arrival date, but it took one month after this for the arrival to port, for the shipment to clear customs, for the container to be unloaded, and for our delivery to be scheduled. Having this extra time was actually a benefit for us; I would advise others to be aware of the time everything can take after container arrival. Thanks, IMN, for a stress-free international move!

The entire moving process has been an excellent experience

The entire moving process, from start to finish, has been an excellent experience with International Movers Network.
Every member of the team was responsive and highly professional. All of my questions were answered, and I never felt unsupported during this stressful time of our lives.
I have nothing to say about the communication which was clear and useful. It definitely made it much easier to handle.
Also the delivery was smooth and fast. The movers were super professional as well and really careful with our belongings. Everything was delivered without any damages or missing a part.
I have truly appreciated their services and definitely recommend them.

It's the second time

It's the second time we needed international moving services and used them. There was communication at every step. The international partner was equally professional and things arrived quicker than expected and in great order. I heartily recommend them from anyplace in the US!

There were broken and missing items in…

There were broken and missing items in my shipment. I was told that my stuff were in open storage in their facility. That may have been where some of my stuff were taken. I also paid for a $5000 insurance. I informed them right away of my missing stuff, but my complaint was ignored. Now I cannot even connect with International Mover's network. It disappears into thin air. I think the reason is, I may have been blocked. I want to be made whole. I want the $5000 insurance money I paid for.

We appreciate all the staff involved with our move. The folks in the office are polite and professional. The movers who packed our things on the US end did an amazing job of wrapping and protecting all the items. Our contact in the Netherlands was very efficient - a good communicator. The experienced with an excellent mover from the Netherlands who was on time, efficient with his time, polite, willing to help with clean up and incredibly strong. I'm still not sure how he and his associate moved some of our items up to the 5th floor. Overall a very positive experience.

Perfect international move US --> Germany

Professional and Excellent Customer Care

I experienced with IMN a seamlessly functioning team that provided accurate and useful information and consistent support throughout the process, along with customer care from the point of inquiry, receiving the quotation, responding to questions, and offering some flexibility. In New York, I received offers from a number of companies, but the accuracy of information, pricing, and customer care provided by IMN tipped the balance for me which turned out to be a good decision. Up to delivery of my cargo, IMN remained in touch and involved along with the service providers in the point of delivery in Switzerland. I will definitely use IMN again for my next shipping and highly recommend it to family, friends, and colleagues.

I was hesitant as I knew I would be…

I was hesitant as I knew I would be dealing with 2 countries and a ship in between. I was surprised and elated that on both end as the trucks were labeled as International Movers Network Inc (with no noted subcontractors). They took great care in loading and packing and were exceptionally pleasant and easy to work with. On the other end, our stuff arrived and was unpacked to our specifications and we found nothing broken or damaged. Would use again and highly recommend!! This was east coast of USA to UK move.

Great customer service and prices

I used IMN to move our family back to Italy and later in the same year to move my mother. I had such a wonderful experience both times. The price is clear and fair. They send easy instructions and take all of the guesswork out of a very stressful move. Their professionalism and communication helped me stay calm and trust the moving process. I will recommend them as well as their partner DMA Cargo in Italy who handled everything on this side of the ocean. I highly recommend IMN when moving overseas.

Flawless Service and International Move

From start to finish the entire team was amazing. They communicated clearly, concisely and completely all the information I needed to know to ensure that my move went smoothly. Their professionalism is outstanding and they stand behind what they do 100%. I could not be happier. While one item was damaged in shipping, it is not likely due to their negligence and I purchased additional insurance to protect me 100 percent in that eventuality.

When I brought up a concern about a charge I paid for but for a service I actually did not receive, without hesitation, John issued me a full refund for that one thing.

IMN is definitely a company you want to use and can trust. It is important to remember that you, the person moving, has a responsibility to stay informed throughout the process knowing what you should do, in order to make such a move effortless.

IMN is that company and I would use them over and over again!!!

Proceed with caution.

I hope by raising a few points here on Trustpilot I can sway one or two of you to practice extreme caution when engaging with International Movers Network.
In the words of the team who have just delivered my wife’s belongings here in London, UK, ‘That is the worst shipment we have ever had to deal with’.
The stock photography and the cut-n-paste responses to reviews on their website should have been enough to warn me off.
I spent a lot of time in researching the best company to use, contacting no fewer than 13 providers with Cost and Trust being our two major drivers. A spreadsheet was produced covering a number of key questions and cost queries, and the responses given. We were leaving the US before our shipment was due to set sail, so in short, we couldn’t afford to raise any challenges along the way because of the standard clauses stating in one way or another ‘if you don’t pay, your goods don’t move’.
By the time I’d whittled 13 providers down to 3, one of my final questions I put to them was ‘Will there be any additional costs between the items leaving the storage container, and them arriving at our home in London?’ The response from IMN was ‘No’.
IMN were not the cheapest, and they were very responsive whilst trying to secure us as clients. Once the papers are signed though and the deposit is paid, there is a marked change in customer service.
As part of our quest to secure a robust quote for the shipment we packaged everything ourselves into tough plastic bins with secure lids. Everything was itemised and the exact measurements of each bin given to IMN. Photographs were sent of all the bins, and the half dozen items of furniture and art that IMN were supposed to wrap for transport. Be aware that wrapping for transport involves little more than brown paper and cling-film. No blankets or bubble wrap.
A short while after the shipment arrived in the docks (we used an air-tag to track the shipment as getting any updates from IMN was futile) we were hit with an invoice for an additional $1400.00. We were advised that this was because our bins had to be packed into their shipping crates. We later find out that this was not the case and that our stuff was simply packed into a container in a very random fashion. This was reported to us by the UK logistics company.
IMN seem to operate on a ‘wait and see’ approach to securing container space. We were always given vague answers to when our shipment would set sail, and it was only when we secured the ship code that we could confidently track the movements.
I will give IMN 2 stars today, but that is mainly down to the UK logistics company that they used. This team were communicative, diligent, respectful, and honest about what they’d had to deal with.

Use the power of government, you pay for them

You know that any complaint you have with International moving companies should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Maritime Commission. Any complaint you make on Trustpilot does nothing to change their behavior.
I am giving IMN 3 stars today. I have to wait to see how this shipment pans out. It's already gone up $2500 since the initial contracted price.
So here we sit, we planned a departure Jan 7th with IMN for $6300 . We contracted the sale of our home at the end of October, to have a closing Jan 9th to give us time to book the transportation, get packed, enjoy Thanksgiving then Christmas and have a zero stressing experience etc.
So we have to leave our now sold home Jan 8th, and IMB had taken our Jan 7th ship date.
We had contracted with Sasha at IMN NOVEMBER 25th 2024 to facilitate our move. We like to box our own stuff and then have the young bucks load the boxes. So we were fat dumb and happy.
Yes, IMN, on page 2 of the contract, they do state how unpredictable it all can be. It’s not even small print. We have crossed the Atlantic with our personal goods 6 times. Never a problem. Click click every trip. All good.
Our ship , Endurance, changed it’s port date in America on Monday. This completely screwed container availability, so IMN graciously offered to warehouse and load a container when it became available. Downside $2500 more!

So what makes IMN such a different experience? I had heard about companies that use a “warehousing while we wait for the container “ ploy before.
I wonder what happened to Sasha?
So why Trustpilot?
Maybe just the fact I have never felt I had to comment on the shipper/moving company/ expediter before.

May I know what IMN has done wrong if the shipping line delays their vessel?
You could hire the moving company and pay them directly.
