Use the power of government, you pay for them

You know that any complaint you have with International moving companies should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Maritime Commission. Any complaint you make on Trustpilot does nothing to change their behavior.
I am giving IMN 3 stars today. I have to wait to see how this shipment pans out. It's already gone up $2500 since the initial contracted price.
So here we sit, we planned a departure Jan 7th with IMN for $6300 . We contracted the sale of our home at the end of October, to have a closing Jan 9th to give us time to book the transportation, get packed, enjoy Thanksgiving then Christmas and have a zero stressing experience etc.
So we have to leave our now sold home Jan 8th, and IMB had taken our Jan 7th ship date.
We had contracted with Sasha at IMN NOVEMBER 25th 2024 to facilitate our move. We like to box our own stuff and then have the young bucks load the boxes. So we were fat dumb and happy.
Yes, IMN, on page 2 of the contract, they do state how unpredictable it all can be. It’s not even small print. We have crossed the Atlantic with our personal goods 6 times. Never a problem. Click click every trip. All good.
Our ship , Endurance, changed it’s port date in America on Monday. This completely screwed container availability, so IMN graciously offered to warehouse and load a container when it became available. Downside $2500 more!

So what makes IMN such a different experience? I had heard about companies that use a “warehousing while we wait for the container “ ploy before.
I wonder what happened to Sasha?
So why Trustpilot?
Maybe just the fact I have never felt I had to comment on the shipper/moving company/ expediter before.

IMN booked our service for self-loading a 20’ container for January 7.
On January 6, the shipping line updated for vessel delay, and we emailed you a copy of the port screenshot.
May I know what IMN has done wrong if the shipping line delays their vessel?
You could hire the moving company and pay them directly.
You choose to use our agent service.

I was most struck by how carefully they paid attention to every little thing. It was easy to find things when it was time to unpack because each box had its own sticker. They went out of their way to make sure everything got there safely and that I was Paying attention at home.

They were on time

I appreciated that my relocation to AL was done in a timely manner. The moving team arrived at 10 am and brought all their packing supplies and toolbox with them. They disassembled the large furniture pieces and packing everything thoroughly within 8 Hours. They did a brilliant job!

I had a great experience relocating from the US to Canada a few months ago, with International Movers Network and their Canadian side partner. My personal effects were packed with care, picked up on time, stored properly, and the delivery was smooth and hassle-free. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone making an international move.

Today I received my personal goods after 6 months and I am writing this email to inform you that the service that you provided related to invoice number 8780A was humiliating and a disaster in all its meanings taking into consideration the customer service, communication, hidden costs, and the delay of the shipment by IMN.
The story starts when I requested to reroute my shipment from New York in the USA to Athens in Greece. My shipment arrived from Doha, Qatar through FDC to New York, USA, I requested the shipment to be stored in your warehouse with a monthly storage fee $282.50 plus one-time warehouse in/out fee $250 as agreed by both parties.
When I decided to reroute the shipment to Athens, Greece instead of transporting it to Indianapolis which was already paid for, I received a surprised email from your Agent with a quote of $9,000 to ship my stuff from New York to Athens which is not in line with the market price as all other companies nearby quoted $5,000.
Having received this quotation, I immediately requested another shipping company nearby to pick my consignment from your warehouse and thereafter transport it to Athens, Greece (Door to Door) for a fee of $5,000 only.
Surprisingly, your agent wrote to me informing me that I must pay a fee of $2,200 plus the cost of the storage before he releases my consignment to the new company. I told him that he can keep the transportation charges from New York to Indianapolis (which is not needed any more and already paid to my previous agent in Doha, Qatar), but he insists to black mail me by holding my shipment and keeping on charging me storage fees, knowingly that I am in the position of no choice.
Your Agent refused to discuss any possibility of reducing his quotation, but rather threatened me to increase the price and delay my shipment if I did not agree. FDC in Qatar (FDC) interfered and tried to negotiate the cost with him, but unfortunately, failed to change his decision.
When the shipment arrived in Rotterdam, your Agent put it on hold without even informing me, which caused an additional 3-week delay.
This was one of the bad experience dealing with your company and especially with such an Agent because he has no interpersonal and customers services skills and he was very rude thinking that making additional cost of $2,200 from one customers was an achievement, while in fact is that he made your company loses not only one customer by also my friends and friends of my friends as I will spread the word around of what I have endured.
I believe that writing the above is less than what really happened, and I experienced in the last 6 months, which is the time that the shipment took to arrive.
I will be sharing my experience in any way I can and inform others to think twice before using your company for any future shipment.
Thank you for such a bad experience and humiliating service.

Best Decision.

Hi everyone

We received our container yesterday early in the day, and even we haven't open all the boxes etc. we want to thank you all for an excellent service. Since the day we had the survey at the old house in Missouri I knew this was the correct and perfect decision to make.

The group here in Spain very professional and knew what they were doing. I want to personally thank John Zohar and Oscar Perez for being patience and kindly take all my calls.

Has being a good experience to be remember for a long, long time.

Great service

The process of working with the Internaltional Movers Network team was easy and everything went smoothly. We had our personal belongings shipped from New Jersey to Valencia Spain and our goods arrived in great condition. The level of service was fantastic. Incredibly excellent

Incredibly excellent. From New York to France, the price was right, all our stuff got here in perfect condition! i had a smaller move a year before and it was horrible, I was very scared until all the boxes were opened. They are now and we are so happy. From the first call to the delivery, the entire team was great! Thank you

A few months I planned to move my personal belongs that I left behind in Barcelona to my home in the USA.
On a flight from one of my trips from Barcelona to Miami I met a nice lady who moved out from London to Dallas and lately to Barcelona, she recommended me the company.
She told me that no one else can be better, I believed her and she was right!
International Movers Network brought me piece of mine since the minute one… Vanity, Evelyn, John, Aart (Partners abroad), Gal, Ilana and the driver Michael. All of them help me with lots of enthusiasm and professionalism.
Not easy to deal with paperwork and hours to understand customs and all the red tape… they made it possible with a few emails.
I receive everything in perfect time and condition in my front door!
Outstanding service!

The team leader just ignored me when collecting my bellongings, they did not repack the boxes that I told them to repack, goods were stolen, they did not actionate the insurance company, they toke the money and ran away from any responsibility.
Five months after my relocation I am still waiting for a simple repply about my stolen computer.
Unbearable!
Zero customer care!

As per the contract, you are to pack the boxes.
Per your email, the missing item was part of box #14, which you packed and indicated on the inventory list.
None of the items that we packed were missing.
We also emailed you a copy of your insurance certificate for an insurance claim you failed to process.
Each of your emails replied the next business day, and we will gladly send proof.
You request to pack your boxes to save on the costs.

We booked a move with IMN from Texas to Oaxaca, Mexico, in February, but unfortunately, we encountered unforeseen circumstances that made it impossible to make a move. I sent Mr. Zohar, the general manager, an email explaining what happened, and he understood and would refund my debit card; the refund was in my bank in two days. Great customer service. I want to thank Evelyn, Mika, and Johnathon for their efforts in preparing the logistics for the move. I am just sorry it didn't work as planned. Thanks, everyone!
