Eastbourne: worst vegan brunch ever. It seemed to be a meal prepared and served by people who neither know about nor like food. Part cold, part bland, all mediocre if I’m being nice.

We visited the Forestside franchise today for the first. We were hungry and opted for the battered cod fillet, with chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce along with two pots of tea.

Boy were we disappointed.
The fish was not cod I had ever been served in a restaurant before. Ends of fish formed in the shape of a fillet, frozen in poor quality batter, not fresh and without flavour. It had been cooked in the oven along with the chips and then placed under a salamander grill to crisp it up.

We did not complain but the chef spoke to us while passing and it was obvious from our exchange that he had issue with what he was serving.

Two large misshapen oven cooked frozen fish fingers, dry oven chips, insipid mushy peas and overpowering tartar sauce, with 2 pots of cold tea... £26.

It was suggested we try something different on the menu next time. There won't be one!

Friendly advice... take battered cod fillet and chips off your menu, until you source the proper ingredients and equipment to cook and serve them!

Ealing - Go elsewhere! Awful service

My son and I were early for his class and I thought it would be a good idea to try it out. Don’t waste your time. The black coconut milkshake was just poor. No thickness to the milkshake and a complete lost in translation with the woman behind the counter where English was clearly not her first language. I won’t go into the toilets being out of use and my 7 year old desperately needing them and the staff telling me to go and use the toilets in the shopping centre. Avoid and spend your hard earned pennies elsewhere.

Visited the Warrington restaurant for this first time today with my mum. Was really excited to the food, however when I ordered I was told there were no sausages for the all day breakfast. No problem I thought I’ll order something else. Mum ordered smashed avo and I ordered poached eggs on toast with beans and bacon.

There were only a handful of customers so presumed the service would be pretty quick.

Over 30 minutes later the food arrived, I was told there was no bacon and asked if I wanted a sausage patty instead. I said yes please.

Firstly, why not ask if I wanted this as they were cooking my meal, so that it could have been cooked all together!! I ate really slowly but the sausage patty did not arrive.

Mum and I went to the counter after we had finished to ask for refund of the bacon/sausage patty. I explained it had not arrived. No apology, the lady just reached for the chip and pin machine and said insert your card. I was shocked and disappointed in her reaction.

My mum said the service had been poor and the lady said nothing! She was totally ignored.

No excuse for bad manners. Very poor experience and even worse customer service. A real shame as the food was actually really good.

Won’t be returning

Poor service: ordered a kids brekkie and it took 40mins for 1 streaky bacon 1 sausage 1 hash brown that wasn’t browned 1 tomato and 1 slice of hard toast with no butter.
Ordered a milkshake 20mins later we went up to the counter to ask how long it’ll take and the lady hadn’t even started making it yet.

Lovely good service and didn’t have to wait long. Had their special hot cross bun French toast omg it’s was divine. Definitely be back .

Thought I’d give Jamaica Blue a try at Ilford when I saw a sign for their Eggs Benny outside. Have to say the dish was absolutely delicious. You are also given a choice of tomatoes, mushrooms or bacon. The best version of this dish I have ever had and will definitely be visiting again! Reasonably priced and friendly service too.

Firstly, after sitting down, choosing off the menu, then going to the counter to order, only to be told the oven was not working? The assistant then gave us a menu from the counter with many items crossed out, we then went to return to the table with the amended menu, to show my Mother. I was then ‘told’ to take the original menu back to the table by a vey rude assistant. We then returned to order, and was served by a different assistant, I believe the other assistant was now avoiding me. We placed the order, which arrived with no problems, apart from a ‘look’ off who I now know to be the Manageress, ‘Parmina’. Halfway through the meal, my partner found a nail clipping in her meal, which unfortunately she had already placed in her mouth, she nearly vomited. We again returned to the counter, Parmina apologised and eventually provided a full refund. When we left the restaurant as I turned towards the counter I witnessed Parmina shaking her head at me, I challenged her as to why she was shaking her head, she denied that she was? The only good part of our visit was when left!
I/we will never use the cafe again, and just to confirm the cafe is located within the Next store, on the Gallagher Retail Park, Wednesbury. My recommendation is that you don’t visit the cafe.

Waited over 45 mins for a over priced very poor breakfast £26 not worth £5 .

Staff didn’t give a shix could nearly speak English and their attitude was appalling ,
Won’t ever return and will advise anyone not to eat in this over priced rubbish rip off cafe

Just returned from Rushden Lakes, having had a wonderful experience at Jamaica Blue, the staff were so friendly and professional. The service and speed of service was fantastic, the food was amazing. What a pleasure we will return in the future. It is so lovely to experience this service and food when in our experience so often today the service is poor and staff seem not to care.

Have frequented here often and usually good service, however, today (30 September) waited for a table and an assistant came to the door and asked us to scan the qr code on the board outside. We tried to do this but couldn't. She said we needed to download the NHS covid-19 app.

Two points: 1. We cannot download the NHS app to our mobiles as they are too old. 2. Last week we were able to scan a website qr code to register our visit but this was not offered today.
We left and attended another cafe .... did not appreciate the sarcastic "bye" from the assistant.
