No weight loss and disappointing food quality

II was very disappointed with my experience of Jane Plan.

I didn’t have a large amount of weight to lose, but after following the plan very strictly for a full week, I saw no results at all.

The food itself was also a major issue. I found the taste to be poor overall, and meals containing rice or pasta had a particularly unpleasant, unusual consistency that made them difficult to eat.

In the end, I chose to cancel my subscription and paid the cancellation fee just to avoid continuing with the meals — which says a lot about the experience.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this service.

First delivery arrived 2 days late however deliveries now on track and choosing your own meals is welcomed.

So impressed with the staff at Jane…

So impressed with the staff at Jane Plan. Apart from the meals being tasty and delivery always on time, I wanted to pause my plan or change the duration.

They promptly answered my emails and nothing was too much trouble for them to change my details on the system.

Great plan for someone who works long days in the NHS like myself and is very convenient at night when you are tired!

So easy to follow

So easy, everything came in monthly box (all weighed & kcal counted, 3meals per day + snacks). The meals were tasty with plenty of variety. Changing meals was simple. The weekly newsletter was informative & encouraging. The staff were helpful on-line & phone (thank you Georgina). And best of all - it works.

Never use this company again

Ordered the first week, was signed up to a seven month plan which wasn’t explained properly. I paid £181. I went into hospital with a fractured hip.
When I came out, I tried to cancel as I wasn’t feeling good and wasn’t in the right headspace. They wouldn’t accept this. I wanted to cancel my orders completely and was charged £150 to cancel my subscription. I will never use this company again.
They just kept on saying it was their policy. I’m sorry this was not explained to me when I signed up over the phone. I didn’t signed a contract. I verbally agreed for the trial pack. They put me on a seven month pack.

We’re sorry for any confusion around your plan and how it was set up. We do aim to clearly explain all plan options at the point of sign-up, including the length of the plan selected.

To clarify, we offer a cancel-any-time policy with no cancellation fees. However, our longer-duration plans are offered at a discounted price compared to shorter plans. If a longer plan is ended early, we simply ask that the difference in price between the plan taken and the time completed is covered, as outlined in our terms and conditions.

We also offer the option to pause your plan at any time, which can be helpful if circumstances change or you need a break without continuing deliveries.

Grateful thanks for your help …

I have really enjoyed my experience with Jane Plan and am delighted to have lost two stone. Due to varying circumstances I found myself overwhelmed with quantities of food and the prospect of more to arrive. This caused me great stress so I contacted Jane Plan for help. Georgina one of the Support Team replied to my plea. She very calmly and kindly removed all my stress and quickly sorted out my problem. I am most grateful to her and her team. I have always found Jane Plan to be very helpful, even with the smallest query. I am enjoying the experience very much it was my own fault I let things get out of control and I am happy to be back on track. I will never hesitate to recommend the Plan to anyone.

Really low quality food

Really low quality food. Nutrition is lacking. Very low protein content. Food is covered in either tasteless tomato's sauce or overspiced curry sauces. Pasta is soggy. You get locked into a minimum contract that you have to buy yourself out of.
Very expensive for low quality food.

All of our meals are created by registered nutritionists to be nutritionally balanced and designed to support a healthy, sustainable weight loss of 1–2lbs per week. We understand that taste and preferences can vary, and we’re sorry the flavours and textures didn’t suit you on this occasion.

We offer a wide variety of over 80 meals, and you can change your menu between deliveries to better match your preferences. We also have a swap up service, which allows you to return meals from a previous delivery in exchange for new ones if something isn’t to your liking.

In terms of plans, we offer flexible options ranging from 1 to 8 months. While longer plans are offered at a discounted rate, we do also provide shorter options, and you’re able to cancel at any time.

Fatima has been very helpful to me with regard to delaying my box delivery. I have not been as good as I should have been and eating only the food in my Jane Plan box and consequently I have lots left still to finish.

The food is great ,tasty.With arthritus bad in my hands they are ideal for me not long to get ready.
They are,well balanced meals

Not impressed. Very over cooked, and all covered in tomato pasta sauce.

No problem with how it arrived. It was well packaged. However after a few days, you realise how heavy overcooked it all is. Very overcooked. Penn pasta dish, you could hardly recognise the pasta, just sludge. And all the dishes whether lemon chicken, a korma etc, all covered in tomato pasta style sauce with chilli, so they all tasted the same. Gave up after 10 days and gave it all to the food bank.
