Is it really worth going to…

Is it really worth going to Wetherspoons anymore,in my opinion the portions of food are getting smaller and you hope when the food arrives it’s warm or cooked . The behaviour and attitude of staff is on another level they are usually rude and offensive when you make a reasonable complaint or request. I am of the opinion this is because they get away with it ,There is not a customer complaint phone number and you have to send an email which comes back patronising (we will look in to it )reply .The same staff will still be there still behaving in there disgraceful behaviour . If Wetherspoons is so good why is everyone complaining?

Villa bella

What can I say! I've been to most wetherspoons around Wales and England, this is the worst wetherspoons by far I've ever been to, it's absolutely stinking, the seats are bogging, local drunks on a Monday morning sat next to the bar staring as if they have never seen a woman before 😳 the staff remind me of when delboy and rodney stayed at the hotel villa Bella on jolly boys outing in only fools and horses, ordered chicken off the bone in a basket the chicken was stone cold like it had just come out of the fridge, don't put your elbows on the table you won't peel the off!! This wetherspoons is very dirty, not just dusty it's grime ground in dirty,
I found a blond bob wig on the floor i think it belonged to the male bouncers, never again will I go in this place..

TV Programming

I am posting this on Trustpilot because the “Contact Us” facility on their web site is impossible to find.
I visit the Shay Wake in Shaw, Oldham most mornings for a coffee. Until recently the TV has been switched on to a news channel, but recently it has been showing a video promoting their hotel business. There is only one very small TV in the building and it is virtually impossible to read the very small print. I have raised this matter previously and received no satisfactory response. The staff, who I might say are very good, say that they have been instructed to show the hotel video. Could I suggest that the easiest way of resolving this problem would be to instal another TV purely for this purpose.

It's important to know what type of…

It's important to know what type of business Wetherspoons is. If you want fine dining, go somewhere else (no disrespect). If you want tasty food and drink at fantastic prices, go to Wetherspoons! Yes, the staff are flat out busy....Well done staff! And you might struggle to get a table, but that's because generally speaking, Wetherspoons is fantastic! The beer range is superb. If you like to try different beers, this is the place to go. Tonight, I've been drinking one of my favourites, Doom Bar for just over 2 quid a pint!!!! We had an all day breakfast and it was delivered to our table really quickly AND HOT!! Value for money is just great at Wetherspoons. To be honest, I don't know how they make any money but don't tell the boss!! Another thing is...you'll pay the same kind of money if you're out in the sticks, or in the centre of London!
We love Spoons!

Extremely disappointing experience – charged £33.60 for an order I never received

I had a really frustrating experience with Wetherspoons recently. While at the NEC in Birmingham, I ordered food and drinks through the Wetherspoons app. The app showed the “Wetherspoon, After Security, Terminal 1, Birmingham International Airport” as the nearest location, so I assumed that was the one inside the NEC.

After waiting ages for my order, I went to the bar to ask about it only to be told that this branch doesn’t even use the app, and that other people had made the same mistake before! They gave me a number to call for a refund.

When I called, the airport Wetherspoons manager refused to refund me, saying the food had already been made and thrown away even though I was nowhere near their pub and had no idea my order had gone to the wrong venue. It’s clearly an issue with how the app shows nearby locations, and it’s really unfair that other customers have apparently been refunded but I wasn’t.

I ended up losing £33.60 and got nothing in return, no food, no drinks, and no help. Really poor handling of a situation that wasn’t my fault. I’d strongly suggest Wetherspoons fix their app and treat customers consistently and fairly when these things happen.

Bit of a disappointment

Service overall was good and quick, but after hearing the air fryer was broken, I found the customer service quite poor. Ordered burger & chips and the chips were not available so was offered rice or salad. Young child, very fussy, only really wanted the chips so opted for a burger on its own but at the same price. Asked if there was any reduction bearing in mind the meal deal was not being served as a meal deal but NO, nothing was given.

Miasma Amber rooms Wetherspoons Loughborough

Amber rooms Loughborough. As previous customers have noted, this IS a top contender for the worse Wetherspoons in the UK.
I don't say this lightly, as I visited many different Wetherspoons in various parts of the country and the level of service is nearly always good to very good. (The staff at those various Wetherspoons, over the years have never had a problem with me either I shall add.)
The level of customer service skills at this Wetherspoons is currently terrible. Management especially.
The atmosphere was unwelcoming, You could tell the staff really didn't want to be there, (Yes it was 8.00am on a rainy Thursday, but I and many other workers have had worse.) The wage paying customers were an annoyance for them. I noted while unfriendly to customers. (While speaking monosyllabically, the staff never smiled or said thank you, even when the customer did exactly that.) Conversely, the staff had no problem, laughing and chatting with each other while they looked together at their I Pads.
The level of hygiene is also an issue, as I was given dirty cutlery and was only given a side ways dirty look by management, no simple sorry, when I requested it be replaced. Then when I asked the member of staff, (management I might add, which I didn't know at the time) who gave me a dirty look for having the audacity to ask for clean cutlery, if their was a problem with me asking for a clean replacement. They immediately turned on their body cam recorder and instantly stated I was being VERY angry, yes those words "very angry" were used and my arms were apparently violently flaying(they weren't) too. While I was rather annoyed by the situation of me paying to be treated badly. I was in no way VERY angry, as your management member soo conveniently quickly claimed.
The attitude of the Amber rooms staff and management especially, needs to be looked at Wetherspoons, While I understand your company, Wetherspoons has the reputation of the 100% backing its workers, And while I in no way disagreed with protecting people working in the customer facing service industries as I and many others have done. That stance CAN allow unscrupulous staff members to behave very poorly, to Wetherspoons customers without any consequences. And their behaviour can become exactly as I have described above for the paying, polite and fair customer.

Because even me, a seasoned customer would actively avoid this convenient to me Wetherspoons.

Customer service?

We called in for food at our local Wethies (as we often do) I ordered sausage and mash with gravy as I had this before and it was lovely. However, this time there was barely any gravy. I approached the bar to request a little more gravy only to be told “yes but you’ll have to pay for it” she couldn’t care less, didn’t want to look at how dry the food was barely made eye contact. I would’ve happily paid if I had had a decent amount and wanted more, but that wasn’t the case.
Disappointing

Visited The Half Moon Inn in Billingham…

Visited The Half Moon Inn in Billingham today and the cutlery that came with my meal had something stuck to it. After I picked it off I just thought the cutlery looked dirty. I went to the bar to ask to swap it. I was polite, I even apologised and then the lady came to my table with the exact same cutlery.
I mean I can't say that with 100% certainty but no attempt was made for me to think otherwise. It still looked dirty and the napkin it was in was definitely the one I'd handed it back in --creased ect. On inspection I could still see the water mark of whatever it was I picked off the cutlery in the first place in the exact same place, so it's suspicious. At this point I didn't feel like I could raise it again so I just didn't eat my breakfast, didn't even finish my coffee. I just left.
I didn't receive an apology or anything in the first instance which wouldn't have bothered me usually but then even to feel like the cutlery was the same again shouldn't really happen.
We usually eat there weekly after ice skating, we will not be back.

Low calorie food

Went to the ice wharf spoons in Camden and wasn't wasn't particularly hungry so ordered a small fish and chips. I almost fell off my chair when it arrived I expected small to be half the size of the regular one not miniscule! It was smaller than a fish goujon. Luckily I wasn't too hungry. Fortunately it was compensated by a premium drink Leffe

I had a very bad time at wetherspoon’s…

I had a very bad time at wetherspoon’s today. I was on my 11th pint of milk and ended up getting kicked out of the place with all of my friends for making too many ‘joke orders. I will NEVER be back there AGAIN!!!!!!!!.

Shocking behaviour from the chef 😱

I have been a regular lunchtime patron of the Watch House in Lewisham, SE London for about 3 years. I only used it because the good value I got for a meal and a drink. Although I have used this location for so long, I always thought that the food was mostly average but occasionally could be good. Anyway, the reason I'm writing this review is due to my appalling experience on Monday 13th October 2025 at precisely 1:40pm. I ordered "Gourmet" buttermilk chicken burger with Tennessee sauce, six onion rings and maple cured bacon along with the regular chips. I received just the basic chicken burger and chips - so not the extra "gourmet" bits. I brought this to the serving staff's attention, who said "ok sir let me see about it". 5 minutes later and nobody had come back to me so I took my plate to the bar and asked what's happening regards my meal. A different staff me to take my food back to my table and that the extras would be brought to me. About 3 or 4 minutes later the actual chef brought me a plate with the sauce, bacon and onion rings. Instead of leaving the plate with me though, he picked up the extras from the plate with his bare fingers and put them onto my plate 😱 I was in a state of shock and couldn't believe what I just witnessed. Because I was so hungry and also on a schedule to get back to work I just ate up and left. A customer on the table next to me witnessed it and said "that's shocking using his fingers"
Anyway, I went back in after my work finished and made a complaint to the manager. He was obviously shocked too and said the chef will be spoken to. He said he should never have even left the kitchen. Suffice to say, I will NEVER eat there again. If a chef can do this in front of a customer, then god only knows what goes on in the kitchen !!

Food is absolutely diabolical

Food is absolutely diabolical, all ultra processed garbage, over priced junk food. I just don’t understand why places like this are allowed to serve food like or why the hell people are buying it. The healthiest thing on the menu is lettuce and eggs everything else is loaded with sugar salt preservatives it’s just not nutritious food. The steaks which was probs the best food item on the menu again overpriced, have been removed why ?? And replaced with more junk food
