Local Plumbers We Care Avis 

Rang them past lunch time with something that was not that much of an emergency and they still came 4 or so hours later. Kennedy came and nothing was too much for him and checked 3 times whether the job was done good enough for us. A job other plumbers could not sort 100% was done in 30min. Could not recommend this company highly enough. Will also recommend them with friends and family!

Kennedy fitted a washing machine for me.
He was very polite, efficient and did a wonderful job

I rang Local plumbers, We care on the 9th December. A young man called Dan booked the following Tuesday, to service my boiler. I waited in for the plumber, but no one came. I rang on Wed, 14th of Dec, to rebook, that day, after 3 pm, again no one came. The company was highly recommended on the Check a trade leaflet, which came through my door, so I naturally rang them after reading the glowing advert. I have contacted Check a Trade, to tell them what happened, and I hope they can get my deposit back for me.£48 for nothing. Do not use this company.

The lads who came to do the work were excellent, very polite, respected my property. Told me what had gone wrong with my boiler and a very reasonable price for the work they had to do cheers

Honestly can't say enough about this company. My boiler had a breakdown this morning leaving us with no heating or warm water. The company that covers the boiler couldn't come out until Friday and we obviously couldn't wait that long. The team are super friendly, informative and keep you in the loop. 2 hours later everything is fixed. The plumber himself helped us to understand what was wrong and what we can do in the future if it ever happened again. Worth their weight in gold!

I really can't rate this company high enough, it really does put the customer first. The standard of work is top class, I wouldn't even think of using anybody else. I doubt very much if any other company would care for it's customers as well as this one does.

Having being scammed by easy plumbers for £400 for no show up I am delighted with your swift service and restoration of my heating I am considering using your company as a regular maintenance contract as be lbritish gas have let me down happy Christmas Julia

My elderly mother had concerns.
I sent an e-mail on her behalf, concerns as follows:-
Contacted you and certain fees agreed however not explained they were less VAT. Hence when money came out of her account it was more than expected.
Your call out man did not stay the full hour yet and an hour was charged.
No follow up call regarding next steps.
No price for the next step.

Also mentioned that their web page link to checkatrade does not work and unable to locate their business, despite a number of positive reviews. I also looked at their companies house records (public records).

Their response they are obtaining advice for legal action against me - laughable.

AVOID at all costs. Stung for £200 when our boiler didn't work in freezing weather.
Boiler still faulty after their visit! And the engineer failed to identify a gas supply problem. We had no heating and no hot water. I suspect their engineer was not properly qualified.
The boiler manufacturer's engineer then visited 2 days later and identified the gas supply issue and sorted us out in about 2 minutes. No charges. Please don't get caught out the way we did.

I called at 12 noon for a plumber as we had no running water from any taps in our flat, not for shower nothing. I called multiple times after I paid the £48 booking charge and received no idea of the time someone would be over to check the problem and have it fixed. Hours later and with no message or warning - luckily I was still in the flat - at 6:40PM we hear a buzz at the door and its the plumber. He inspected the boiler and the taps and outside and left without a word. No goodbye, no telling us what the problem was. Unbelievable.

Charged £280 to fix a leaky toilet cistern. We called Local Plumbers to have a look at a cistern and they came round next day to have a look so not exactly an emergency.

Mother in law was in so plumber told her that they needed to change mechanism (£15-30 at screwfix) inside and not just the washers... (luckily he had the part in his van!!!) so labour was £180 and the part was £100! Could have had a new toilet installed instead!

Sadly, this isn't the worst part, they took auto payment within a day and sent an invoice too with bank details explaining how to make payment. We ended up paying twice as it was taken from my wife's account and I was sent the invoice so paid whilst at work. They claim we were told this but definitely were not. We tried contacting them over weekend but no answer.

Won't be using these again. Overpriced and smart arses on the phone too.

The plumber that attended our house was excellent, very, very helpful and did a terrific job. he had to take apart our built in wardrobes to get to the problem, once he had identified and fixed the leak, he put our built in wardrobe back together again.

Stayed late to ensure job was finished in one day. Friendly and helpful lads who worked hard and know their stuff.

Appalling!! These guys ripped off my 92 year old Dad: £355 for a kitchen tap... my Pa can hardly see or walk and is a carer for my Mum, disgusting way to treat the vulnerable!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!! WE CARE??

I’ve used other plumbers in the past and I’ve always been let down. Straight forward service, left no mess. Would recommend them to anyone looking to get things sorted

Feel Conned by the company.
Conned by the engineer. Who was trying to con the company. You couldn’t make it up.

Between them I am down almost 200 pounds for a job that wasn’t even done.
£48 pounds booking fee to the company. Who are actually an agency. The £48 pounds gets very mixed up with quoted £125 hourly rate. Let me help you out. They’re completely separate.
Unbelievably, I was charged another £150 to the engineer for his time apparently. He didn’t have the £4.99 part in his van to fix the problem within the whole hour he took to say he didn’t have the part.

Engineer said he’d come back to do the job for £180. I declined.

Instead I got an honest engineer the next night who had the part in his van. Total cost £75. Job done in 40 minutes.

Company phone me to get their money. I complain. They still take 150 as well as the booking £48 booking fee because apparently an Engineer who’s trying to get the job on the side should still be paid.

Outrageous.

Customer service was fantastic, engineer was lovely. Would defo recommend!!!!!
