My advice to other homeowners: Please think twice before listing your property with Luxico. If you care about the condition of your home and want to ensure your guests are properly vetted, I would recommend looking for a more reputable and reliable service. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting them with your home.
If you own a luxury home, I strongly advise you NOT TO SIGN UP WITH LUXICO. The company is poorly managed, has questionable ethics, and experiences high employee turnover. Here’s what happened in my case:
Luxico placed a tenant in my home who brought in a non-potty trained puppy without disclosing it. After I discovered this, Luxico assured me that the carpets and sofas would be thoroughly cleaned when the tenants left. However, no cleaning was done. After the tenants moved out, I found over 100 pet urine stains on my expensive rugs and carpets. I sent Luxico photos of the damage along with the carpet cleaning bill, but they are now refusing to pay unless I can provide photos proving the stains weren’t there before the tenants moved in. (For context, I have never had a puppy in the house, and several of the carpets were new- there can be no dispute that the stains came from the tenant’s puppy).
Additionally, the tenants caused other significant damage, including a large burn mark on my custom dining table (which Luxico acknowledged was not there before), water damage and multiple scrapes on the timber flooring, broken pool equipment (the filter was stuffed with children's toys, though the tenants claimed they never used the pool), a broken dryer, a broken blind in the master bedroom, and more. Luxico takes a large share of the rent but provides minimal services to the owner. They only (and negligently) conduct a very cursory move out inspection, so they are totally unprepared to assist the owner when their poorly-screened tenant causes damage.
Despite these issues, I have not received any compensation for the damage in the more than two months since the tenants vacated. Alex, the co-owner, has refused to release the bond or communicate further. This company is dodgy and unethical. I strongly recommend avoiding Luxico at all costs.
