ordered 2 sets of bifold doors and a lantern. All came damaged. 1 set of doors went back to be repaired and came back with the same scratches. they fob you of with spare parts but won't compensate you for paying the fitters to repair MFT faults. Awful aftersales service

We are disappointed that you feel you are being fobbed off and that we are not prepared to give you compensation. Also saddened that you feel the necessity to add a 1 star review.
We do apologies for the issues you experienced with your items, however MFT always endeavour to deliver the product you purchased subject to our terms of business.
To address the issues you have raised an explanation that supports that MFT are not fobbing you off and you have received aftercare service.
Door 1. Small mark only noticeable when sun shone on the doors (as stated by yourself). You were more than happy that MFT agreed to replace a piece of outer frame. This is very easy to unscrew and refit. However this had already been installed, you still accepted the replacement and was happy to change. You later advised this was not used and wanted compensation.
Made for Trade advise to check all items before installation as marks can happen in transportation or during installation and afterward during continue building work. Even though we do not know how the mark happened we were still happy to replace.
Door 2. Minor scratches. This door was brought back to the factory and corrected with brand new components. MFT can assure the minor marks stated on return of the product come after repair, are not the same marks and MFT advised you of this. You did not want MFT to rectify the issue, just asking for compensation and would accept the mark.
Korniche Lantern – Until the request for compensation MFT had not been made aware of any issue with the Korniche Lantern. The pictures sent were of the Screw Cap Cover being bent. This cover needs to be slid into the channel to cover the screw caps. If our product trained Customer Service team had been advised on this, MFT would have been able to offer support on this matter.
Overall MFT have supported your issues, aiming for all our customers to have a perfect product and service.
However you are happy to accept the minor scratches but want compensation for the time taken for your fitters to repair the product. There was no reason for your fitters to repair MFT faults as MFT were happy to rectify any issues.
Made for Trade are a manufacturer and only sell to Trade businesses and our terms are subject to Trade customers.
Made for Trade clearly state and advise not to arrange installation until all items are received and checked.
Made for Trade take pride in our products and customer service. Please be assured that MFT do not fob our customers off, we deal with all our customers in a professional and timely manner. Korniche roof lantern
Experienced great service during ordering & supply of madefortrade's excellent Korniche roof lantern. Delivery of frame and glass was exactly as advised. Lantern was well wrapped, is well designed and constructed and nicely finished. The frame was easy to install and they have a very simple & effective glazing method. 100% recommended.

Roof lantern question
Called MFT regarding a roof lantern installation we had question about. MFT could not have been more helpful and thorough. I got to speak to an expert who gave me great guidance on how to resolve an issue as well as taking the trouble to look at a photo and confirm other things we needed to address. Superb service.

We put ‘no reply’ on our emails like lots of companies as we have a process to control incoming emails and orders. This is to support our customers and accuracy. We process hundreds of orders a day and have a controlled process to make sure that all communication initially does to one team, and they then distribute to the specific product teams.
If customers accidentally reply to a No-Reply email, they will receive an email advising:
Please note. THIS IS AN UN-MONITORED NO-REPLY EMAIL. Also give you specific emails to resend to.
Again, so sorry that this process is not to your expectations, but we have to implement a structured process for the best of all our customers. Please contact our Customer Service Team if you have any further questions or concerns.

We discovered that we were missing a crucial part that prevented us from installing a Korniche lantern roof.
I spoke to Tracy who efficiently arranged for the component to be delivered the very next day, much to the delight of my customer. She turned a negative into a positive. Excellent service!

Would highly recommend Made for Trade…
Would highly recommend Made for Trade (MFT), I have a roof lantern from them, and its absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately my builders didn't install the lantern properly which caused some leaking. However MFT's James McDougall was fantastic in helping me resolve this. He first did a virtual assessment of my lantern to advise me of the errors in installation and then supported me getting this resolved (finding the right person, cross checking the suggested solution etc). James also sent out some parts that the original builders had lost which I was extremely appreciative for. Since them James has also followed up to make sure all is well and his customer service has been excellent end to end. Thank you very much James and MFT.

Korniche roof lantern
We bought 2 Korniche roof lanterns and have just installed the first one. It was just as straightforward as the website video suggested. Excellent quality product. Very well designed and engineered and everything fitted together beautifully. Delivered on time, well packaged and clear instructions. Highly recommended.

Korniche Rooflight
I’ve fitted loads of MFT Korniche roof lanterns and recently had a water ingress issue with one. I spoke to James at MFT and they sent technician Ben to rectify the issue. Client happy so all ends well. James and Ben, their attitude was fantastic and so easy to deal with.

The best customer service I have ever received.
Had a lantern made by this firm and it is excellent. Unfortunately the fitters (not linked) had not put the correct parts on and basically taken them.
I contacted Made for trade and they sent so free replacement parts for the next day.
Later a pane of glass was broken. Within 5 minutes of emailing I was given a supplier and full spec name.
Absolutely excellent.

Can't recommend highly enough !!
We placed an order with Made for Trade for four roof lanterns and spoke initially with James McDougall. We live in Guernsey so we gave Made for Trade a few problems with logistics/carriers etc but whatever we put to them each query and obstacle was handled quickly and efficiently. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and are always knowledgeable and helpful. The goods arrived when they said they would and the quality is superb. I travelled to the UK recently and visited their showroom and the set up and premises were really impressive and again they took time to show me around and I was more than impressed. The team were all professional, dedicated and I can't say enough about how impressed we are. Thank you again James it has been a pleasure to deal with you and we will be in touch again in the future. Great Customer Service
Emailed MFT with a query and got a reply within 15 minutes. Excellent customer service best I’ve had for a long long time. Huge thanks to James McDougall who has sorted out my issue within minutes, whereas we are still waiting to hear back from other suppliers.
