Steer (Westbury) Collected my car

Steer (Westbury) Collected my car, left me a good courtesy car. They repaired my car, kept me updated and informed. It was a pleasure to deal with them. Staff really professional, friendly and helpful. They also cleaned and valeted my car. (wasn't expecting that)
They have done a really good job of repairing the damage on my car.

I had very good experience

I had very good experience. Professional staff, good communication. My car got stolen and it was quick payment to my finance company.
Good company to insure car and costumer service.

Thank you for being for being supportive

Company were very supportive and understanding. On collecting they took time to talk about the damage and give rough timings. On calling for an update they were able to bring completion time forward to enable me to get to work and rearrange a time to have the decals added at a time that would work for me

Good service

Overall, a good service. Took a fair bit longer than expected but the quality of the work couldn't be questioned. The car was returned looking like new.

The service I received was great but......

The service I received was great. The car was repaired perfectly so why only 4 stars?
Too much communication.
I have had emails, text messages, phone calls all asking me to complete on line surveys, give feed back and fill out trust pilot reports. (7 txt messages alone)
I get it is important to you - but the work I had done was fit a new piece of glass in my sunroof and to do this required 3 different Companies to give reviews for.
I cant fault the work, I cant fault the fact you want to be helpful - but please if someone gives feed back it is because you have stood out - you are in danger of standing out for the wrong reason.

Lack of checks led to them writing off the wrong car

This company managed to mark my car as written off on the national database, instead of their actual customer's car which was written off an an accident. They had miskeyed the registration plate when updating the national database, and due to lack of proper checks, wrote off the wrong car.

I only found this out when I went to sell my car, only to be offered 7000 pounds less than the initial offer.

It took a couple of days of investigation, requiring me to take time off work to fix the issue. No sign of an apology, and even after a formal complaint I was offered 100 pounds, which didn't even cover my expenses, never mind the time and hassle of having to fix their mistake. No sign of any sympathy from their customer services manager.

Total incompteance.... Let's see what the ombudsman say.

Good workmanship and quality from…

Good workmanship and quality from garage, only one negative is communication and lack of updates, due to unforeseen circumstances with the quality control and insurers. It took physical appearance to be able to get a full update.

Damage not fixed needed to go back and get done properly

Golf R went in for damage to front bumper and grill car returned back after a week
took home inspected it to find sump plastic tray repaired with three lengths of silver tape also the wings were not fastened on and were able to come away with hand approx three inches
also the black polished plastic insert were scratched aprox 25cm car returned to have repaired again
company full of apologies was advise
about not going there in first place but insurance said had to be repaired there
not impressed
