Have been trying for 24 hours to speak …

Have been trying for 24 hours to speak to a 'human' on the customer services link without any joy. Asked friends at local travel office for assistance and they tried without success. Like Monarch but Customer Service telephone system stinks.

Came back from Malaga to Gatwick on …

Came back from Malaga to Gatwick on 31.08.2017 (well eventually the flight departed Malaga on 01.09.2017). Flight No. 737. The cabin crew were absolutely wonderful and very down to earth, friendly and attentive. The young lady hostess was from the Chichester area and she was a diamond as I dont like taking off, she was very reassuring

Filthy planes

Filthy planes. Terrible customer service. No reports of the complaints we raised on both flights so basically called me a liar. Took over 35 working days to respond to first complaint (once they found it, if they ever did find it) despite assuring 28 days response.

Wonderful cabin crew

I have just returned from a 2 week break to Madiera travelling with Monarch and suffered terrible panic attacks and fear of flying. The 2 cabin crew members Catt and Maria were so supportive and kind, they even made sure if they were not on the return flight they would inform the staff who were and let them know so i could enjoy my holiday.
They kept to their promise and the return flight crew made sure they helped.
My sincere thanks to Catt and Maria who said they were there for me and it was not just about the tea and coffee, they were outstanding and a credit to Monarch who should be proud to have them on their staff.
Unfortunately my phobia has become such that i do not think i will be able to fly again but Catt and Maria are a credit to their profession

I have not used Monarch for years …

I have not used monarch for years because they were neve on time. I am sat on board a monarch A321 with an hour delay because the pilot missed his slot due to the late cleaners. The pilot said it was also due to bad weather over the Bay of Biscay. Don't lie to us the person sat next to me is a pilot and he just checked and flying conditions are good. Never flying with monarch they can never get off on time. They missed their slot.

Outstanding service

Huge thank you to every crew member of flight ZB909 Friday 11/08/17 from Dalaman to Birmingham. Your cabin crew and pilots went over and above the call of duty to help us with our autistic child when Birmingham airport let us down again. Thank you for your help, you have no idea how much that meant. Thank you all for your patience and humanity where others (Birmingham airport) seem not willing to help or understand. Monarch airways should be hugely proud to have such superb staff.

Comfortable flight

Had a lovely inbound and outward journey with monarch when I went on my holiday to Tenerife. I have never booked holidays through them so i can't comment of this. But really lovely flight👍

Did not get what I paid for

Did not get what I paid for. No accommodation when I arriveded Booked 10 months earlier. Waited 17 hours for a room which was not the standard I booked and paid for. No sign of Rep to sort mess out. Very disappointed after paying over £2K. Emailed my dissatisfaction when I got back and still no reply

Flight was changed

Flight was changed, so fly out Manchester and then come back to Birmingham a week later and make my own way back to Manchester at my cost, when I rang they refused to give a refund as only 1 fight changed, also I would have to pay for the 250 mile round journey !!!!

Rang customer services and even though I book lots of flights with Monarch they said nothing they could do

Treated my wife and I like rubbish,

Please go to a nice airline and give these clowns a wide berth

Terrible call centre

Terrible call centre. Regardless of the time of day they seem to 'be experiencing high call volume'. 26 minutes before I got to speak to a human being one morning and 18 minutes one afternoon.

Comical website requiring log in for each different action you want to take.

Shame really as the air crew are great but in no way can compensate for awful customer service from the call centre and website.

No Customer Service!!!

Hi,
Tried to change my booking with Monarch, used 3 x credit/debit cards, all not accepted!!!
Tried to call them, after waiting on the phone from abroad for 20 minutes I gave up!!!

All in all a Micky Mouse airline!!!

Maybe less-usual scenario but very bad choice

This might be a less-usual scenario but at the very least it proves low adaptability:
- (NOT their fault) We had a 2-hour delay due to weather conditions.
- (MAYBE their fault) The information was limited and inaccurate: telling us that the delay was much less at all times and, hence, not allowing us to even go for a walk around and keeping us there for 2 hours instead.
- (DEFINITELY their fault) We were flying at midnight now: very tired (at least 80% of the people had their eyes closed trying to sleep even before take off). That's the point where the crew literally SHOUTED a COMMERCIAL announcement (actually scaring the hell out of me) just telling their promotions and offers... that is: for marketing and only their own interest.

Honestly: I understand that they need to do that in normal conditions but it was a 2h delay on a Sunday night: I don't like to hire a company that puts their economic interests ahead of everything and wakes you up in such manner just to earn a couple more cents: I reckon it could have been a good opportunity for an exception on the rule, no?

Greedy company and a bunch of robbers

Greedy company and a bunch of robbers, don't deserve one star at all. Tried to cancel the moment an error was made on booking form, would not let me cancel. Cancelled and blocked bank payment at time of error, and Monarch managed to re-obtain the money a day later without my authorization.

Lanzarote nightmare

Left us in Lanzarote to fend for ourselves after flight to Gatwick was cancelled did not offer any help whatsever blamed it on bad weather but other airlines managed to get away to the UK
6 Euro food voucher is all we got for a delay of 18 hours will never use them again

Monarch conning more money out of us at the last minuet !!

After waiting till the under 24hours from flight time to book my Free seats they were allocated at random and although there was only two of us and plenty of seats that had not been allocated Monarch insisted we would need to pay a £9 fee each and each way to sit together. A total rip off con.
Will not fly with them ever again and just waiting for them to go bust as no one should be treated like this.
