The telephone was answered promptly by…
The telephone was answered promptly by a friendly voice. I placed my order and was advised of delivery time. My order was delivered by Royal mail within the time advised . Mulberry informed me of dispatch,which was well within the 5/7days quoted.My parcel arrived in perfect order. I have used Mulberry several times and always had excellent service and lovely toys.

Say no to Rubber band guns…
As a member of a Hedgehog Rescue I am dismayed to see Rubber band guns being sold by this reputable company. They are a serious danger to wildlife as the rubber bands are discarded outside where wildlife, including hedgehogs can become entangled. These bands inflict severe injuries on the hogs and some die or have life changing injuries. Hedgehogs are vulnerable to extinction so don't need this added problem.

On the day you wrote your review, we received the same comments from a number of people, all of whom appear to be stirred up by your Facebook action group. And whilst I sympathise with your case, and the action you're trying to enact, bombarding family businesses with emails and writing damning reviews is unfair and not the way to get what you want. We have amended our product description to encourage indoor use only, we feel this a sensible and proportionate approach. In addition, we would draw your attention to the numerous toys and educational gifts we offer to encourage children to get closer to nature and the natural world around us. We trust you will agree that encouraging children from a young age to understand and enjoy nature is essential.
Selling toys dangerous for wildlife
Sadly, they are selling an un-environmental - and lethal to wildlife - rubber band gun to the dismay of hedgehog rescues up and down the country. Please kindly withdraw this so-called 'children's toy' from sale before wildlife are hurt and you inevitably increase the litter in the environment. Other eco-friendly options are available.

Lovely well made products for children also a very good price.
There were some lovely things to get for my granddaughter. It was lovely to get her some pens with her name on which she will love because nobody seems to do Pippa. Then l had a board for her times tables which is really well made so pleased with my purchases also arrived very quickly.

Not sure why you charge extra for delivery to the Isle of Wight, as I thought if you use Royal Mail they don't charge extra for deliveries here.

Dear Customer, thanks for your review. We send our parcels with a number of couriers. Contrary to what you say, we are charged surcharges by couriers for shipping to the Isle of Wight. These charges and surcharges are usually well in excess of the £3.99 postage and packing we charge our customers, but we do not feel it fair to fully pass on these surcharges to our customers. At £3.99 for delivery, the postage price is, for most parcels, considerably less than the price Royal Mail or other couriers might charge if you went direct (eg to a Post Office). I'm sorry you are disappointed, but hopefully this explains why we have to charge £3.99 for delivery to the Isle of Wight.
An expensive toy I had purchased did…
An expensive toy I had purchased did not work. When I contacted the company, they implied I wasn’t using it correctly. They left me on hold 3 times to “consult a colleague” and insisted the toy be returned for “assessment”. To return the toy the company require many steps to be followed. In summary, a really poor experience. I will not use Mulberry bush again and will tell my many friends and family how bad the customer service was.

Dear Customer, I apologise for the experience you have had. The colleague that you spoke to on the day was relatively new with us and as such was not familiar with the product. It is however a product we've been selling for many many years and we get very few problems with it. And on the few occasions when customers do report problems, we usually find it works fine, it just needs properly explaining how to check it works and check that it's not faulty. As my colleague didn't fully understand the product herself, she was just asking the rest of the team for advice. At the end of the conversion you were advised to return it to us (at no cost to yourself). Just as soon as we receive it back, we will process your return and offer you either a replacement or a refund. With in excess of 2000 products in our range, it is impossible for new employees to be immediately knowledgeable about our full range and we encourage them to ask for help as required. But, at the end of the day, the experience you received was not as good as we would like, and for that I'm very sorry. Best wishes, Mulberry Bush

Hassle for the recipient of a gift
Fair enough to request photo of defective product but that should have been enough in most cases to send a replacement.
Instead more into was asked for as well as return of difficult-to-package product.Much hassle for the recipient.
Since this was a gift and a small child was disappointed, I consider the response inadequate and inappropriate.
Won't buy from you again .

12 in 1 Solar Hydraulic Construction Kit
Purchased above kit for Christmas. After opening, told that the solar panel only works in "direct sunlight", they do not recommend incandescent or LED bulbs as power source, only halogen. Hence difficult to use in the winter. Motor is 1.5V, so can be powered by AA battery (battery holder not supplied), which works, but rather defeats the aim of the kit.
Clearer information, before purchase, would help.
The models are good, though complex for a 9 year old.
