Would not recommend, not even for building credit, the interest rate is so high if you can only make minimum payments it will take forever to pay it off.

Customer service is a POS

Hello I have been locked out due to too many login attempts for over a week and customer service are stuip. Customer service is pathetic. That alone makes me want to close my card

Greedy pigs

Greedy pigs at the top of The Bank of Missouri, owners of this horrible credit card scam.
Fee on this, fee on that, and more interest charges, late fees for making the payments on time w/o autopay, the people on the other end of customer service calls is run through the Philippine's and understanding them is hard making my frustration grow.
Fortiva is a scam company!

Fortiva offered me a Charging for Credit Increases on a 30%+ APR Card?credit limit…

Fortiva offered me a credit limit increase that I never requested. To be fair, they were upfront that accepting the increase would come with a $19.95 fee, and I declined it. Still, I find it frustrating that a company would offer a credit increase tied to a fee in the first place—especially when it wasn’t something I asked for. It feels like something that should benefit the customer, not come with a cost.

This is the worst credit card ever

This is the worst credit card ever.
To keep your account current, you have to be enrolled in payments, and if you're not enrolled and you make payments, they don't process them to charge customers.
They surprise you with extra charges. I give it a 0.
Don't fall for this.

I was almost paid off

I was almost paid off. Now they want me to send my ID with a selfie, marriage certificate, and ssn, and birth certificate. They wont take payments from mexthru their website. Dont understand why now snd not when I received their line of credit. To me this is their way if collecting interest.

Fortiva is the worst credit card ever

Fortiva is the worst credit card ever. They didnt process my payment on tiime and made my payment to be 69.00 and some change. I sent all the money i owed them wrote a letter to close my acct which they did not! They let spotify charge me 12.99 boy was i mad then this foreigner goes oh u can keep ur card for emergencies i said hell no! I paid 512.99 and there AI told me i had a 100.00 in credit im like wtf. I paid them off. They are very shady with 36 percent interest a charge for this and that a renewal of 49.00 plus an additional 175.00. What do they think us Americans are rich. We arent just some of the lucky ones. Whatever u do if u get an invite for there card shred it to pieces. If u use it u will regret it . I wish i would of read the paper about the card but i had a stroke and wasnt paying attention. But i sure did later. This is a horrible card and company i do not recommend it one little bit!!!

Kelly Supervisor Badge #144

I spoke with Kelly, Badge Number #144, who is a supervisor. She was rude, dry, and tried to end the phone call several times without addressing my concerns. Their equipment is expensive, faulty, and unreliable. I've had nothing but problems with it, which is awful because I live alone and need the protection.
Billing is just as bad. I would never choose this company again.

The worst card I’ve ever had

The worst card I’ve ever had. The interest and fees. I didn’t sign up to this bank. Vive financial services send my balance to them. I paid this card off f!&k off to them

Fortiva took over my account with Vive Financial

I purchased furniture with Bob Furniture. The bank that approved me was Vive. Then my account was apparently sold to Fortiva. When I signed my contract with VIVE, my payments were $99 per month. Fortiva took over, my payment the 1st month jumped to $110.00. The 2nd month it jumped to $136.79. I KNOW when I have to have it paid by to avoid accrued interest at the end of my contract. They should not be able to raise it to whatever they want...the original contract should be honored. And if I DON'T pay in full within the contract time, I pay the interest, they aren't getting screwed.
Just be aware if Fortiva buys out any of your contracts, they DO NOT HONOR the terms of the original agreement and just charge what they want! Their customer service is HORRIBLE and hard to understand. Just kept saying "Sorry, I can't help you". If you can avoid using them...AVOID

Website and customer service not top tier. Fees high- but to be expected w credit re-establishment

This is the 3rd time Ive had to change my password after sign in attempt. Ive just spent 15 minutes w various glitches. Also, early in my experience with Fortiva, I attempted to make a 2nd pymt the day after I made a regular one. They couldn't accept it unless it was w a debit card instead of my usual Echeck! Customer service is not high quality either. But Iam establishing good credit again, so I'm dealing with high fees and less than top tier co!

Mal servicio de la ayuda por chat

Le escribí por chat al 1-877-785-7908 y les planteo mi problema. Me mandan a entrar al sitio e intentar una solución. Ya había probado eso y no se solucionó my problema. Me mandan a intentar otra cosa que ya había probado y luego me mandan a llamar y así seré atendido mejor. Pero ya estoy hablando con un representante, por qué no me ayuda? No me respondieron nada más. Casi una hora para recibir esta respuesta final y no resolver nada.

Bad credit card

I got this credit around Sept. of 2025, I used it in October for my trip, due date for repaying was on the 3rd, I had no service from where I was at. Get back to my state on the 3rd, made a payment that day and because I was a minute off they charged me late fee and that was on the 4th. All my other credit card statements I get them 2 weeks later. This company you pay them today and tomorrow you get a statement out to you. Customer service is terrible, I had to request to speak to someone higher to resolve my problem. Every month is a different reason as to why im paying more. I dont like this company and would not recommend. They suppose to fix your credit not ruining it.

Fortiva gave me a card for $1000…

Fortiva gave me a card for $1000 credit. I used it and paid it off several times, and even used it for some of my monthly payments. Then suddenly they closed the card on me saying “Unexpected Account Activity”. For some reason their fraud department decided that I was doing some criminal activity, which I wasn’t. When I called their customer service all they said was that they could close my account at any time. The customer service were rude and treated me with disrespect. All I can say was getting this card was a huge mistake.

It would take a lot of time to relate…

It would take a lot of time to relate everything wrong with my experience with Fortiva. Suffice to say they claim to be unaware that the expiration date on a Bank issued debit/credit card is an indication of the month and year when the card expires. Example 01/26 the card is valid until the last business day of January in 2026. Fortiva decided that meant the expiration date meant the last business day of 2025 (December). So the account moved to past due and they needed a payment that was 3 times what the payment was for the previous 14 months. The supervisor at Fortiva says they just follow their policy. I should have moved heaven and earth to not do business with them.

Less than 1 star

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Customer service is completely incompetent and will hang up after you've been transferred multiple times to explain a problem. They charge fees without telling you causing your card to have charges you weren't told about, reverse or deny payments causing credit score issues, can barely be understood on the phone, and high interest rates. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! DO NOT USE!! You'll thank me later

Absolutely abysmal customer service

Absolutely abysmal customer service. You can't talk to any real support if you have an overdue payment. Late payment customer service doesn't speak english and will only keep asking you how you'd like to pay. They lied to me to get me to pay a monthly balance saying it covered next month's too. Turns out it didn't and they were going to hit my credit for it if I didn't immediately pay again.
