Numberonebatteries Avis 

Advertised as Yuasa battery, but with the letters EQ in the description, among many others. Sent a non-branded battery. On complaining was told EQ stood for equivalent, even though the supplied battery was far from an equivalent to a Yuasa! Eventually settled for a discount rather than a return and refund. Will not do business with them again.

Appalling company, DO NOT DEAL WITH! Purchased a battery on eBay and the advert clearly said order before 5.00pm for next day delivery, take no notice as it’s a complete lie. After 6 days and being fobbed off with excuses it still hadn’t arrived. I sent numerous messages but got different replies non of which were true. This company needs to be investigated by trading standards. Eventually got a refund after contacting eBay. Had to buy a battery locally for more money and lost a week’s business as my van was off the road due to this, so not very happy as due to them they cost me money, and a considerable amount too

Wish I had looked at all the negative feedback for this outfit, bought two 096 100 heavy duty batteries with 4 year warranty last year, batteries were both faulty, carried out every possible check prior to contacting them this month. Got lots of stupid questions and BS answers (I've 50 years in motor trade) then they stopped replying to my emails, never answered the phone. Very shady dodgy outfit and I'm left with two useless batteries. I will find out their true details as it appears they give false trading information and I will pursue through the small claims court.
UPDATE 5/2/2024. They now say the Heavy Duty batteries sold as listed as correct for both vehicles are not faulty but 'SIMPLY UNDER POWERED' complete and utter rubbish, but even if true they sold these batteries as listed correct for both vehicles so NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act.
Can't believe this company can continue trading when selling faulty goods with such poor customer support. Reported to Trading Standards and I will be taking them to the Small Claims Court.

He is not honouring his warranty and tries to skirt around it by asking you to do ridiculous things when he does finally on eBay after 70 Hours. I bought a battery for my Prius and received it on the 4th March 2021, to which it dropped a cell and will no longer hold its charge after 2 years and 10 months use. The warranty advertised is 5 Years. Obviously eBay’s feedback system does not give you an opportunity to change feedback if fools like this does not honour the warranty given. Daljinder Singh Bains is trading under Infinity Batteries Ltd of the same Luton address as numberonebatteries and same telephone number.

I bought a car battery with a 5 year guarantee. It failed after less than 2 years. The company has totally ignored the numerous e mails that I've sent them. They also hang up the phone once they realise the reason for me calling. Abysmal customer service along with blatant false advertising. AVOID.

This company use the NHS flag to lure people in thinking they're a legit company, they're not, they're thieving, lying, incompetent con merchants. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Same as others. Battery failed within guarantee period. No phone number, unable to message, numerous e mails unanswered. I can only echo the others.DO NOT USE.AVOID.

bought a battery off ebay from these guys with 4yr warranty it has now failed within the warranty period I have messaged through ebay and emailed directly tried phoning but no answer, avoid this company .

Battery failed after less than 2 years light use (leisure battery). Sent numerous pictures on Ebay but refused to acknowledge it was faulty even though multimeter was showing 3 volts!! then i had to pay to send back knowing that they would probably refuse my claim. Shocking Batteries and even worse customer service...AVOID!!!

Anyone who has bought a battery from this company has probably been conned. I’ve fought and fought with Numberonebatteries and eBay and have learnt today that Trading Standards are becoming very interested in their trading and all their associated business names. It still rancours me that eBay are part of the problem but urge anyone who has had a problem to contact eBay to open an investigation into them. Then go to Citizens Advice and push them to involve Trading Standards.

Why don’t eBay help?
Only finding out exactly how bad this company is now, after having an awful experience with numberonebatteries. I thought that from looking at eBay rating and the fact that battery had a warranty I’d be covered, WRONG!

EBay said in a phone call that they were top sellers. I pointed out that when people do their review that it must be within 60 days. These batteries often fail after a year, at this point you can’t change or add a bad review. However, 120 people have bothered to go onto Trust Pilot and show their grievances. EBay surely know that there are issues, many people here have mentioned contacting them. EBay are part of the problem here for sure, it’s made me be very reluctant to make bigger purchases through their platform. I urge people to contact them if the they have had a bro let with number one and push them to act more responsibly.

This company must be run by a load of crooks. EBay are in on it. The batteries fail early but too late to give them a bad review. EBay know it, the seller knows it and worst of all the customers Should know it. I encourage everyone to give eBay a hard time or they are equally as corrupt. If the company asks for you to send your battery back, DONT! They will
Ignore your mail and then you won’t even be able to do the only thing that these batteries are good for, sell them for scrap.

Time for this seller to go, uses the worst delivery company Parcel force on the cheapest tarrif and takes no responsibility for it. eBay is no help!

Do not buy anything from this company. First of all the battery arrived three days after the promised date. We had only used the battery several times when it would not hold the charge. Contacted number one batteries several times, they just messed me about and asked stupid questions. Basically didn't want to know. The battery has now started leaking acid. I have emailed them with photos, and now they don't either bother to reply to me. I am now going to contact the manufacturer to see if they will help. Total rubbish customer service and after sales service. My advice is AVOID this company.

I see nothing has changed with this company, I wonder why eBay continue to support them despite their shocking reviews?...It's companies like this that make people steer away from eBay. Why have Trading Standards not shut them down?...

I was going to buy but looking at the feedback! i think i will go else where, im glad people write reviews, it has saved me money on this occasion.

Not everyone on here can be wrong, just shows eBay doesn't give a damn ,that is why i closed my account

Ordered through eBay. Supposedly next day delivery. Various emails, it’s been sent, I’ll chase it up, it’s not been sent, accident in warehouse, no resupply dates, could be another fortnight. Wish I’d read Trustpilot first! Avoid.

Bought a battery from this company avoid at all cost mine exploded in my shed no injuries thankfully apart from some acid damage to my clothes but could have been so much worse I have been trying to get answers for months with no results DO NOT BUY BATTERIES FROM THIS COMPANY

Bought through Ebay soon as used dropped any charge terrible communication they kept sending the same letter back couldn't get any company to take it back had it independently checked said it was a reconciliation dud battery unless Ebay was unless in any help ,So reported seller But still trading and selling through Ebay DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM
