I had been hunting for a nice Rolex ladies datejust for my daughters 18th birthday (lucky girl I know). I had looked and been in contact with the known Rolex watch people to no avail.

Well, what can I say I am back for another purchase from Giles (this alone speak for itself). Great customer service as always from Giles alwyas happy and willing to source a watch for me (given my particular needs). Happy as ever with my watch and always willing to recommend him 5*.

There are two sides to Oakleigh. As a buyer, the service is second to none. Giles is always helpful. And he stands by the quality of the watches. But be prepared to keep the watch, because there is no quid pro quo. As a seller, that is where the customer service stops. There is no fair buy-back precedure to sell your watch back if you are ever hit with an unexpected expense. Giles just clams up and ignores you if you want a fair price for your watch. You either take a massive hit, or go elsewhere. I purchased a Rolex Explorer II for £8000, trying to be fair I offered it back for £7500 even though it had not even been worn since buying. I realise he needs to make a buck or two, but the best offer I got was £7000. Bit of a liberty really, to a customer that has spent £45k in a year on several watches. Needless to say I said no, as I won't be mugged off like that. And all that is reliant on if he even wants the watch back, which is unlikely in my experience unless you want to do a part-ex for another watch. And, as a final kick in the teeth for my loyal custom, don't criticise him whatever you do. You might get your 'VIP' account deleted, like I seemingly have. So much for loyalty to good customers. A star off for that. I'm trying to be fair in my criticism, as well as my praise. I am happy with the many watches I have bought, but expected better on the occasion that I might need to sell one back. And I certainly didn't expect a hissy fit in exchange for an honest review. Two sides indeed.

Second watch I got from Giles and once again everything as ordered and advertised. Would highly recommend using Oakleigh watches for quality watches at competitive prices with a completely professional service. Would always come back to when considering a new watch
