Old Boot Sofas Avis 

So uncomfortable and hard. Does not get any better, after a few years.
I think, looking back I was disappointed at how square and flat it looked. But I had waited so long, and was assured that the foam would soften in time.
This never happened. So they replaced it with feather wrapped foam. Which is a light smattering of feathers that seem to have migrated into a hard lump.
Still very very uncomfortable. And absolutely does not resemble the plump and rounded cushions on the website.
I have sent a recent email, but no reply.
The sofa itself is well made, and treated my husband to a leather one years previously.
Incidentally the foam insert in the leather one has never been an issue. His is yellow foam. Mine is white.
I am at a loss as what to do.
I just had to write this review, as don’t want anyone to end up being really uncomfortable and disappointed.
Old Boot…. You really need to address the filling in your sofas. This foam you are using is just awful to sit on. And time does not make it any softer.

our battersea sofa and block stool where delivered safely, we had one to one personal service throught acing the order until delivery. what a beautiful sofa we live it and going to order the chair to match as it is perfect. crafted to overreaction.

UNCOMFORTABLE! I purchased the Spitafield sofabed in Feb 2021 for my holiday let. It was delivered in June and immediately I began to receive negative reviews on the sofabed. Clients said it lacked comfort and the leather was ‘slippery’. Old Boots dismissed all my complaints. Finally they agreed to hire a third party - Ecomaster - to inspect and it was documented that this piece of furniture was substandard and should not have been sold. Old Boots agreed to replace it and I received the replacement piece June 2022 - 85% of the bookings since June 15 have left negative reviews on how uncomfortable the sofa is! At this point Zoe, the manager, said they would collect the sofa in 72 hrs and refund me - knowing it is next to impossible to source / purchase and get a news sofa in that timeframe (seeing their lead time is 12-14 weeks!) so it was an empty gesture. I am left with a sofa bed which cost me £2300.00 - unhappy clients and Old Boots not taking responsibility for their neglect to sell a quality item as advertised. Very disappointing.

I see another review from Feb 2022 which has the same issue of the comfort level of the infil - so this is an ongoing issue that Old Boots has and they are not rectifying it.

Zoe will no doubt respond in a lengthy manner and have an explanation for everything and explain they have done everything and more but at the end of the day I received another complaint YESTERDAY from a guest on how uncomfortable the sofa is.

They need to replace my infills with something comfortable!

I see that there is a new review posted 11AUG from Katherine and it seems Old Boot Sofas have given her the same run around as they have done to me. This sofa has caused so much stress and aggravation and what is most upsetting is the photos on the website DO NOT reflect at all what is delivered.

What can I say to express my delight at the beauty and quality of the set I bought. I purchased the Historian 3 seater sofa and chair in antique tan colour. I did wait a while for them to come, however I was kept up to speed by Old Boot.
I received my set yesterday, the delivery guys were polite and courteous. They set the sofa and chair up for me and placed them where I wanted them.
I’ve spent 24 hours admiring the set, so bit the bullet and ordered the 4 seater and pouffe. I will say they’re not cheap but definitely not expensive. They absolutely reek of fine quality that you wouldn’t get from the big corporates.
Old Boot, you have made this old boot a very happy customer. Thank you so much.

We stumbled upon Old Boot whilst on a trip to Matlock, glad we did as the showroom gave us an insight into the quality of the made-to-order sofas and chairs! We have since taken delivery of a beautiful grey velvet 3-seater Hepburn sofa. She is comfortable, supportive and a real stunner. Thank you Old Boot team for your help and quality product.

Having searched for a number of months and having visited all the big brands for a leather sofa I found Old Boot Sofas online. I visited them at their Matlock showroom and found the experience to be so much more personal than other showrooms I visited. Having selected a Hepburn in Vintage Tan I recently took delivery of my sofa and I'm absolutely delighted with the quality and service I've received. I really can't fault the team, particular thanks to Zoe who kept me updated throughout and Suzanne at the showroom. Thank you Old Boot!

We walked away from the Old Boot Shop in Fullham, having confirmed my order on 30th March 2022 we was excited about our 2 new sofas arriving with a delivery time of upto 10 weeks which was expected. However, it's now the 20th July 2022, 16 weeks and counting. I've been told the leather was delayed from Italy and employees relative passing have caused the delays. I've been offered a scratch guard protection as compensation. However, I really don't think this is acceptable, my sofa is apparently ready to be collected but now Old Boot have purely said they don't have any control on the delivery side and it can take upto 21 days to be collected. Passing the buck!!!! I really hope the sofas are perfect when they finally do arrive if they ever do.

Very pleased with our sofa and chair. The leather is very high quality as too the craftsmanship. The service was very good throughout and the delivery of the goods was also top quality.

Today we just received our Battersea XL, Large and Snuggler chair. It has taken 12 weeks from order date which is no problem as Pete kept us upto date all the way, and we were not in a hurry. Delivery was seamless and absolute care and attention was taken during the installation, no damage was caused during the delivery which was a tight squeeze and I can commend the delivery guys. The quality of the product is excellent, the leather is superb, we ordered the vintage tan leather, it has lovely feel you can tell it will be hard wearing it just needs a little bit of wearing in and sitting on to soften the cushions which are quite sturdy but still very comfortable. Our experience has been excellent, thank you. We are super happy!

We have now been waiting 19 weeks for our sofa!! First there was a part broken on a machine, then a bereavement and the guy Pete at the office only ever replies after five so that you can’t phone to respond…. We have been informed that our sofa is finished and now with the courier but when I phoned them they have not been notified that our sofa is ready for collection?? This is absolutely ridiculous and I would never recommend this company to anyone! They have had my money since December and five months later I still don’t have my sofa!!

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Old Boot Sofas. I first contacted them to request fabric samples. I received an immediate e-mail to confirm my order, and received the swatches a day or two later. I submitted my order and received an immediate reply from a representative to confirm my order. During that conversation, I decided to receive a few more swatches to double-check my colour choice. These swatches were received 1-2 days later and I made my final selection and submitted payment. From that point, I was informed my Howard Leather Snuggler Chair would take approximately 9 weeks to construct. I was e-mailed periodically throughout that time to keep me updated on its progress. Once it was complete, I received an e-mail informing me that I would be contacted by their third party shipping party to arrange delivery. Within a day, I received that e-mail. From there it was a smooth process to schedule a preferred delivery date and time. The third party called prior to arrival and arrived at our arranged time. They took great care moving my chair and making the final set-up. Super easy process!! Would love to order from them again. I LOVE my chair!!! It's so comfortable and the quality is evident. Very pleased with my investment and Old Boot's superb service.

Quality of furniture very good and well made. Sales staff very professional and helpful. We were provided with a realistic timescale relating to the production of the furniture. Once the order was placed the company kept us updated regularly.

Within days of ordering received a call confirming our order, colour, if we had used swatches to help with our decision ( we had) and if we had any questions. Manufacture took exactly as long as was quoted with regular update emails while we were waiting.
Delivery was handled by a third party delivery company but was efficiently completed by friendly guys.
Sofa is comfy, looks great and would not hesitate to use old boot again.

It was a very long wait for our Hutch leather sofa, but when we eventually got it, we were very satisfied. Although it does feel very firm to sit on, and not being able to viewing one before purchase we were not to know this. The delivery men were very polite and professional. Thank you.

We bought two beautiful sofas from Old Boot Sofas, but unfortunately the cushions on one of the sofas didn’t feel right. When we advised the company, they couldn’t have been more helpful and they ordered new cushions for us. They also kept us informed each step of the way until delivery. We are extremely pleased with their after sales customer service and would highly recommend this company for the lovely range of sofas as well as their helpful and responsive customer service.

We had a very smooth experience when we went into the showroom and ordered our suite. The lady in the shop was very helpful and friendly. The suite arrived earlier than expected which was great and the men who delivered it were courteous and efficient.

I'm very pleased with my sofa. The staff at Old Boot Sofas were really helpful, and kept me regularly updated with the progress of my order. All very efficient and friendly service.

I cannot recommend Old Boot Sofas highly enough. The communication and customer care throughout was second to none. I first purchased a beautiful leather chair. Within 24hrs of placing the order I received a phone call asking me if I was happy with my colour choice and if I’d ever seen any of the swatches in person. I’d ordered from the website so hadn’t seen the colours so they posted me out the swatch first class! I then received updates as my chair was being made and delivery updates once it was ready. When it arrived the delivery team were so careful and courteous and to say I was delighted with the chair is an understatement. It’s beautiful and so well made. I went on to buy the matching footstool and received the same high level of customer care and product the second time round.

We ordered our two Hepburn sofas on 28 December and took delivery of them on 22 February. The whole process from order to delivery was seamless. Staff at Old Boot kept us informed throughout and answered queries promptly. The sofas (in velvet) are absolutely gorgeous; we love them! They suit the style of our 1930s house very well. Shorter people will need a foot rest or cushions if they want to sit with their back supported. The seat is firm (apparently it will soften over time), but very comfortable. We're really pleased with our choice and would highly recommend the company.
