Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. The alarm app is beyond useless. Despite multiple bad reviews on Google play by me and hundreds more by others the app hasn't been updated since 2018 and is not fit for purpose.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Some firms which manufacture and/or distribute security related systems have excellent after sales customer service. For example, the after sales customer service at RING DOORBELLS AND CAMERAS is absolutely first class. Similarly, HILOOK CAMERAS AND SECURITY SYSTEMS have an equally outstanding after sales service. On occasions, I have had cause to ring both of these companies and they are extremely helpful towards the consumer.
My experience of ORISEC ALARMS is just about as polar opposite as this as you could get. This company provide absolutely no support for the consumer. They only provide support for installers who instal their products.
For example, I recently telephoned ORISEC with a simple question about my alarm system. They refused to answer my simple question and told me to call out a registered engineer. So I had to call out the company who fitted my alarm system in the first place. The installer was unable to answer my question, so he rang ORISEC, who gave him instructions over the 'phone and the matter was sorted within about two minutes. Pathetic.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I would think carefully before buying an ORISEC ALARM, because if you need the slightest alteration to your alarm then you may have to call out an engineer which could be costly.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience.
You are quite correct, we are prohibited from providing end users with information on how to alter their system configuration - this is for good reasons.
Orisec products are EN certified intruder alarm equipment as opposed to DIY products. Under the EN Standards, end users are not allowed to alter system configurations, this has to be done by a suitably qualified engineer.
If changes are made by non-qualified personnel, it could potentially compromise the system security and/or invalidate your insurance.
We are also unable to qualify over the telephone who owns a particular alarm system, so certainly would not be able to talk someone through making changes to it or giving them advice on its operation. This can, and must, only be done by a qualified installation engineer.
Our UK based technical support team are widely regarded by professional installers as being the best in the industry, as your engineer experienced when he was able to get through to us straight away.
Whilst there are indeed DIY products available from other manufacturers they would not conform with the requirements of a certified system, and this is not the market that Orisec operate in.

I have had a Orisec system fitted which is a good system but I'm trying to purchase a new single door contact and it's almost impossible without paying £200 to have it supplied and fitted. Unfortunately I don't want to pay the above has it only a 2minute job which my partner could do

We’re pleased to hear that you are happy with your Orisec system.
Our products are designed solely for the professional installation market, as opposed to DIY-ers. In order to meet the mandatory European and UK requirements, on a certified system end users are not permitted to add devices or reconfigure the installation, as this could potentially compromise the system security and/or invalidate your insurance. Whilst there are DIY products available, they would not conform with the requirements of a certified system, and this is not the market that Orisec operate in.

Installer and End User
As an installer of Orisec systems and an end user myself I can honestly say that these systems beat any other alarm system I have every tried. Very good installation process and nothing is too much trouble for tech support. As an end user the system is easy to use with very quick mobile notifications as a bonus.
