Panther Taxis Avis 

Completely over charged us - triple the price of other companies. The driver completely took advantage of us, and the hotel was completely shocked at what we had been charged -TRIPLE what we had been quoted. Would advise against using them!

Will not be using this taxi company again. Awful service and no apology after taxi leaves after turning up 25 minutes early and then leave as wasn’t ready due to taxi being so early meaning I missed my train home. Rude service on the phone with no offer to help in rebooking another taxi. Very disappointed in the awful customer service after being a loyal customer for so long with this company.

Absolutely awful service. Waited for ten mins to ring up and be told they were going to be another twenty mins baring in mind I had a train to catch. If I hadn’t have rung up I wouldn’t have known. Awful service, will not be returning and would not recommend.

Booked a cab as we have done many times before. Used this company for years. Booked two days in advance to be picked up from a pub in Bromley. Called when ten minutes late to enquire when it might arrive. Told that they were busy and couldn’t tell me when it might arrive and than no cab had been assigned, despite us booking. Told that booking on the app doesn’t guarantee a time. Told that I was being rude for suggesting that that wasn’t good enough as we were standing in the middle of no where, in the rain. Operator then threatened to cancel the cab. Was told that I shouldn’t expect the cab to arrive on time or at any particular time as it was a Saturday. Was told that should I have called instead, I would have been advised that it was not guaranteed to turn up. Implied that I shouldn’t have booked on the app. Essentially, the company couldn’t care less about its customers. It is about ease and making money for them. They should have said no to our booking but instead, they took it, left us stranded and were unapologetic and even threatening when we dared to question it. I won’t be using them again.

Have used Panther often and have experienced good service. Sadly on this occasion they were late picking us up from Stansted, didn't pick up from agreed point, rude driver, dirty and clapped out people carrier. Complained responded quickly and was offered a free ride into town as compensation. Will continue to use for local journeys but will go to a specialist company for airport transfers.

I had a highly disappointing experience with Panther Cabs. Their customer service was incredibly rude, repeatedly hanging up on me during my attempts to book a taxi on multiple occasions. This behavior is entirely unacceptable and left me with a sense of frustration and disappointment.

Furthermore, the reliability of their service is questionable at best. There were instances where taxis I had booked simply did not show up, leaving me stranded and inconvenienced.

I strongly believe that Panther Cabs needs to seriously improve their customer service and reliability. My experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope others don't have to endure such treatment.

Booked a cab for the early morning (5:30am) for a friend of mine headed to Stansted airport.

When the car arrived at my house I asked the driver if my friend could pay the balance (£59.50) with his card at the airport.
The driver answered that my friend could and then added that he was supposed to charge my friend £7 more for the drop off charge.
I knew the drop off charge was included in the price that Panther taxi provides when booking, but I did not want to argue at 5:30 am and did not want neither to create any issues to my friend. So I replied "If you have to charge ..."
The driver then charged my friend £7 pound more and sent me, via email, an empty receipt.

Now, the interesting part:
When I called the head office, they have admitted the mistake and refunded the 7 pounds BUT justified the driver and tried to convince me me that it was a genuine mistake as the driver was an experienced driver with a long positive track record.

Now, a driver that charges what is not supposed to and send an empty receipt, or is not experienced or is a thief.

I understand that the company can not be responsible for every single scumbag working for them but I did not expect for them to take the scumbag's side and implicitly assuming that I was a liar.

Long story short: Panther taxi is not very concern with the honesty of their drivers, actually, they'll deny their attempts to rip you off, even if it crystal clear.

Prebooked a taxi to and fro for a friends wedding with pink panther ladies. On the way to the wedding they were 20 minutes late with no call or text to let me know they were running late and it was a male driver that turned up with zero apology about being late. With my pick up my driver called me saying they would be there in 10 mins and if that would be ok, they were 20 mins early so I told them what time I had booked my pick up for and they said ok they’ll wait but don’t be late and AGAIN it was a male driver when I had booked what I thought were meant to be female drivers. Not sure if I would use them again or recommend them.

When I called up to query the price was told no booking from redlion Cherry Hinton to histon 7/9/23
So I said definitely was. Then he said depending on meter the price & traffic. 8.pm at night no traffic. Will not be using panther again. I feel he was took advantage of as his condition. Disgusting how can £15.20 he Normally pays go to £29.

I’ve used Panther for years and they’ve always been very reliable. Until recently. They now regularly do this thing, where you book a taxi and they assign a driver - you go outside, waiting for the driver and then, all of a sudden, they’re in the process of assigning a new driver, who’s going to arrive 10-15 minutes later than the one you booked an hour in advance. I always preferred to book Panther over Uber, but I’m now done with Panther.

Booked a cab for 3.30 a.m. one day in advance, after 20 min the cab hadn't arrived, I called the number twice and they kept telling me that it would arrive "soon". Reason of the delay? Unknown. "Our drivers are self-employed, it's up to them to show up or not"(!!!). Or "traffic jam" (middle of the night, streets completely clear). I eventually booked a Uber. Almost missed my bus. NEVER again.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I should have read the reviews before I booked with Panther. Before we got into the cab, we advised the driver our drop off was a Virgin Atlantic T3 Upper Class wing. My mother is 88 & has mobility issues. When we arrived, driver Hasseim refused to go into the proper area & dropped us off at the furtherest point for drop off at T3. Did I mention it was raining? Driver was rude, refused to go around, & made us get out. He didn’t care that my mother was elderly. I will never use them again. I am furious for this driver’s attitude and behavior.

Used to be really good and reliable. Nowhere near the level of service previously. Never on time, you have to chase them and even then there’s no urgency. I would not recommend, especially if you need to be at the train station etc for a specific time.

If i could i would give a 0. Booked a taxi 3 days in advance for 5 people to be taken to colchester town station at 8.40am. At 8.40 i called to ask where it was and was told our taxi was still dropping off and would be another 10/15minutes. I explained i booked days in advance and needed to catch a train and was basically told to cancel or wait. We made it (JUST) in time. For our return journey we had booked in a taxi for 4.45pm from the station. Yet again, at 4.50pm i called the company to be told its my own fault for booking a 6 seater online and not theirs. We have 3 children and were in the scorching heat and i was told they had no taxi’s for at least 20 minutes. I explained that we had yet again prebooked and was told oh well, its your fault for booking online!! Disgusting service. We waited and no taxi showed up so we just walked 1 1/2 hours home with our 3,8&9 year old in the sun as all other companies had been booked.

Like many others on here, I’d like to give zero. Booked a taxi well in advance & with plenty of time spare to get to an important event. When it didn’t arrive, I called the office & was told it was 2 minutes away. 10 minutes later it still hadn’t arrived. When I called again, I got more excuses, with no attempt to fix the issue. It’s very simple Panther: if you make a mistake, apologise & fix it - DON’T LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. The only plus was that one of their drivers on the spot used his own initiative to offer us a ride, got us there just in time & calmed me down on the way so I could enjoy the event.

Only gave one star as there wasn’t an option to give zero. Booked a minibus for 8. Important when you have a disabled passenger and have so many people. Rang a week in advance to confirm. On the night got a message to say taxi was 2 minutes away but it didn’t exist!!!! Having rang the company tried to justify a nearby concert as the reason for not having a driver pick up the fare. They tried to sort something 45 minutes later. Not the fault of the operator but shockingly customer service especially with I disabled person waiting. Do not use !!!!!

After 15 hour flight into Heathrow it was very disappointing that the booked car did not turn up. When we called we were told the car had run out of charge and they were sending another car. It was more than 1 hour late.

Very efficient taxi firm. I wouldn’t use anyone else

Taxi was on time and return trip was equally good.

Rude operator. Poor customer service. Hangs up each time without saying sorry i cant help or i cant understand what you mean or where you are. Just hangs up and not bothered.
