Panther Taxis Avis 

I will never use Panther Cabs again, just a waste of space. Booked my cab on the 19th June in the morning for 4.20pm for the 20th June. So I rang them to find out where the cab was. To be told that all booked Cabs are prioritised and cab is on its way. Why should I bother booking cab when they do this?
This would leave plenty of time to get to my appointment at the hospital. Well, yet again what a let down again And!! And the cab turns up on my appointment time of 4.45 when I should of been seen at the hospital for important appointment. just warning the public don't use this cab company!! If I could of gave them 0 I would of done. To the person who took my call for the cab, you need a new career because your not very good at this one.

Booked and pre-paid for a taxi (11/06/2022). On arrival at my destination the driver stated my booking had not been paid for. I told him I had booked online. He said payment was due. I paid thinking it was my error.

Today I checked my account I had pre-paid! I have now paid twice.

We ordered a taxi for my wife to the train station the day before which did not arrive at the time agreed. It was pure luck she still caught the train by a hair. Pure luck and being cautious adding 10 min safety buffer for a 10 min ride (offsetting traffic conditions but not the incompetency of the company).
- Welcoming the driver with a 'you are late' comment he immediately replied: 'I am not'. Being 10 min late and he states he is not late, pretty arrogant, or even a hole mentality.
- Stating the obvious the driver changed position: 'I am just a driver it is not my doing'. Like he is not working in a taxi with Panther Taxis title on it. At paying for the agreed service for Panther Taxi he is happily being part of the organization, when he is late to a stated time known to him then he is not.
- 'Talk to the operator, it is not my doing'. Again, like he is just a bystander or fellow traveler, has nothing to do with Panther Taxis.
- 'You should have ordered for earlier'. We did, you arrogant ....
- 'You are lucky I accepted the ride' - said later in the cab to my wife. Pure arrogance. Like he is doing a favour for us, not like providing a reliable service. Well, actually he does not. Accepting something he cannot deliver!!
- 'The bookings are not guaranteed'. Ok, this is a new info. I thought the time stated for the booking is to arrive then, apparently it is just guideline for them, optional, and officially when you pre-order a service you may or may not receive it. Good to know. Apparently it is the same like you call them right before you need the taxi, pre-ordering has no priority over any other orders, not guaranteed. I was mistaken.
- Calling the operator while waited for the taxi she told: 'I am sorry'. Like we were ordering a sympathy not a ride. She offered no help, no supplementary ride if the wife misses the flight (she wanted to catch the airport train), said 'I am sorry' and considered the whole matter resolved to satisfaction!

In summary, pre-ordering is just a show, means nothing. You may or may not receive the service you need and the whole tone of the organization is just pure arrogance! If it is important for you to arrive somewhere in time then you are better choosing some other option because Panther Taxis may or may not deliver what they say will do.

I gave two star, not one, because still got from A to B eventually. Unreliably, but did.

This is the second time I risk missing my train for the airport/flight and all that!!! Last time my pre booked taxi wasn’t there at the time booked and the app was still “assigning driver”. Luckily I neighbour was able to quickly give me a lift. I have them the benefit of the doubt (that was Christmas time after all). This morning again!! I booked my 9.45 ride to the station yesterday for today and at 9.30 I checked and the app had just starting looking to assign a driver. This makes it completely unreliable! No neighbours to help, luckily a friend probably got speed tickets to get to my place in time and take me to the station. NEVER AGAIN. This is an abysmal service!

I'm fuming not even a 6 mile journey and they charged me £70 they told me 30 which was still bad but then when he put it through in the cab was so much more the lad also kept asking for my number and was so inappropriate! I can't even get a refund!

Worse company ever To prebook a taxi never turn up rung to say they was on the way and be 20 min later then u prebook time then cancelled it there self left me stranded and cold alone!!! as a women this is unacceptable worse company!!! I had walk hm twice (even from a previous pre-booked) in the cold dark alone they may be good company for quick drop off but don’t rely on them for pre-booked journeys

I cannot believe a 6 mile journey could cost £33 and they most definitely wanted! cash payment!

Disgraceful - pre- booked taxi in app as always, received confirmation of booking. No taxi arrived, called office told ‘we are busy’ - the email was just confirmation!!! Missed train, missed start of theatre show weekend ruined by such appalling service

I booked a panther wheelchair cab a week in advance to take a friend living in a care home for his first outing for nearly 2 years. I was warned by the receptionist that there could be up to an hours delay in the wheelchair taxis so booked for 30 mins early. On the day the taxi eventually arrived an hour and a quarter late. Luckily the pub where we had booked a meal were brilliant and waited for us.
I had booked a return taxi for 2 hours after the taxi booked to take us to the pub. Less than an hour after arriving And earlier than I had booked the return taxi, I received a message to say that the return taxi was on its way to us. When it arrived it was the same driver that had taken us there!
He did say that he would wait 20 minutes.
This dreadful service very nearly ruined my friends first outing for 2 years. Needless to say I will not be using panther taxis wheelchair cabs again!!

Booked taxi arrived 25mins late, for a 15min journey. Three cars had been “dispatched” in that time.
No point booking a car. Wish I’d read reviews earlier!

Contacted panther on multiple occasions to discuss how poorly me and my friend where treated by panther as a company through there phone line and a taxi driver and on every occasion have been hung up on or ignored when asking to speak to someone higher about how disgustingly we where treated. Left us outside in the rain for 2 hours telling me they sent multiple taxis to the location given no taxis showed up so I continued to call where I was told I was put top priority while everyone around me calling the same company was told the same. Sent multiple taxi reg confirmation codes for taxi that hadn’t even been sent out l. We where freezing and very upset at this point to then a taxi finally turn up with a reg plate I was given as my taxi for the taxi driver to then tell me to ‘ F off ‘ and persisting there’s 2 cars driving around with the same registration plates so he’s not my taxi I must wait further when I persisted it was for me and showed him the texts sent from panther with his registration on it. With multiple ammounts of money leaving my bank account without even been given a taxi after waiting 2 hours outside in the rain and 0 communication given further after this night and continuously ignored.
Overall the most shocking experience and will not ever be using this disgusting taxi company again.

Preordered a taxi stating we have a dog with us and was told all would be fine for a pick up 40mins later. When the time came and passed we ran again and was told we would need to wait 5-10 mins because it was a busy time (we prebooked), so we waited again, rang again and was told there was no one available for us to take a dog. 45mins after we had asked to be picked up!
We were freezing cold waiting for our taxi and ended up walking into town to get a bus home. It ruined what should have been a lovely day off.
Panther were full of excuses. I wouldn’t normally write a negative review, but this hasn’t been the first time this has happened. Panther seem to neglect people with dogs, which seems crazy seeing the how many people have dogs these days. Sigh.

If I could vote 0 stars I would.

HORRIBLE experience with this company on Monday when I asked for a cab to pick me up from Colchester station.

After having a very abusive driver that overcharged me, and came late, I called management team to see if they could understand the problem and he was even WORSE!

He was extremely aggresive too, just shouting to me which demonstrates that they don't care at all about their customers. This is unacceptable.

sadly i’ve come to realise you can’t rely in this company . i’m a keyworker caring for the elderly in their homes and despite pre booking taxis they arrive 15 minutes late with no update that they are running late - it isnt the taxi drivers fault it’s the office who pretend they’ve got you a taxi sorted without any allocation - then when you ring no apologies or understanding / Uber or other taxi firms seem more reliable / late again for work today for someone laying in bed reliant on me getting them up !

Wheelchair taxi’s are pretty difficult to book, but I have had no issues at all with Panther. Drivers have been courteous and polite, cars have always been very clean.
Last three journeys have been with the same driver “Robert” who drives a Peugeot Partner Horizon….each journey was great. Navigation was spot on, even though I’m 40 miles or so outside Cambridge. Really pleasant guy and faultless journey. Cheers!

Twice when I had prebooked a taxi the night before it didn’t arrive. I had to phone up Panther and was told,’they would get one to me as soon as one was available in my area.’

If you are in a hurry to somewhere, I wouldn’t recommend Panther taxi

First time I have used them and I was delighted. They confirmed the booking, told me when they on the way and again as they drew up. Driver very polite and helpful. Will definitely use again

The driver Ala was very polite and kind throughout the whole journey. He also asked what way I would prefer to go rather than going the longest way.
