lovely stay. helpful friendly staff. Most of the toilets were shut. I understand that it was off peak but it did make the stay other than perfect.

Lovely well equipped site. Great stay helped by the fantastic weather that week.
Suggest a warning that there is no hot water in the toilets as the temptation is to run the tap and wait for it to become hot, thereby wasting water.

Loved it here! Felt very safe.
I came here solo with my dog, we were welcomed and shown around, felt incredibly safe and relaxed throughout my stay and will definitely come back!

Camp was very clean and had a proper toilet and shower block.

Pizza truck on site for my friday dinner, this was delicious.

Stayed here early May 2025 , had a choice of quiet/louder pitch . Chose the quiet option and was directed to pitch up wherever i liked . The plot i chose was perfect , its a pitch what-you-bring so no extras added on .
The toilets and showers were probably the best ive experienced on a camp site , well done .
The walk into Cheddar was a leisurely 15mins , all off the main road .Plenty of electric hook ups available should you require , along with on site breakfast unit, a small outside bar and a pop-up burger/pizza tent.
The price was £33 for 2 nights(May 2025) as a solo traveller in a campervan with awning , great value in my opinion.

We arrived at the site, not knowing what to expect. We were greeted at the check in by a very friendly member of the team. He welcomed us and issued us with a bucket for our recycling and bags for non recyclable rubbish. We were then led to our pitch, which was very spacious. In the evening a buggy came round selling fire kits to enable a camp fire, which was a great idea. There are plenty of toilets and showers on site, all of which were clean and tidy. The site itself is perfectly located for walking around Cheddar and the surrounding area. We couldn't fault our visit and will definitely be visiting again.

This campsite has something for everyone everything you need is available close by it is situated next door to a weekly market/ car boot and the staff are so friendly and helpful our dog even made friends there great weekend had by us all Thank you.

We’ve been to this site a few times now and we’ve always been happy with it. A shade pricey on the grass pitch (no electric) pitch. Also not a lover for paying for the recycling bucket as we’re always going to recycle in the correct way. That said it was a lovely, clean friendly site with very helpful staff. Many thanks.

Another fantastic visit. Staff are always so helpful and welcoming. Showers are hot and plentiful and toilets are clean. Always worth a visit.

Great location, glorious weather and friendly campsite

We had the best time at the Petruth paddocks! Camp spot was perfect for a walk around cheddar gorge! Excellent place, came with a friend this time will certainly be bringing the kids back!

Great customer service and a lovely site.
We were met at reception and got a briefing on the site set up and where everything was located. We were then free to park up wherever suited us. The site was fairly empty so we had plenty of choice. Bought a fire pit from site and was supplied a large bag of kindling and logs, along with a bundle of newspaper and a fire lighter. The 4G signal strength on site is excellent.
Owner called me a couple of nights before we stayed to check that we didn't want to cancel because of the cold weather forecast, which I thought was excellent. She warned us that the water may need to be shut off overnight so the pipes didn't freeze, but that there would still be a toilet available. So glad we went ahead. The sky was clear and you could see all the stars as the site is beautifully dark - the lights on the roadway were great (set into the ground so no light pollution). The only real evidence of the cold that I saw was in the showers where there was an icicle on the tap and the ceiling was covered in ice drops. Easily cleared with the squeegee supplied. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will be back when the weather is warmer!
