Ads take days to go live

Always takes days to review ads before they go live. You'd think when you actually pay for a subscription rather than just using the free features that ads would be approved instantly or at least within 24 hours. This has been going on for years now, by the time they approve ads most things have already sold on sites. Totally pointless

Steer well clear!!!

Absolutely abhorrent company! I have been contacting Preloved for around 2 months now with issues trying to get into the site to amend/delete/renew my adverts - no help whatsoever!

For the past week or two I have repeatedly contacted Preloved asking for help and assistance to sort out my account as I have messages to read - no help whatsoever!

Need I say any more?

I’ve had an account with Preloved Uk and have issues with listing adverts, access issues and frustratingly no replies over my reported issues

I’ve had an account with Preloved Uk for several years and use it a couple of times annually. When I came to place a couple of adverts they’ve showed as pending awaiting approval. I realised my annual subscription had failed in December 2025 as card detail’s expired. So, new card details added and payment was collected by Preloved. I contacted them to advise that the above and assumed the adverts would now be reviewed and live and I asked for clarification of this action however, no response and ads were sat awaiting review. So, every 48 hours I sent a chaser request. No replies came however, when I log in there’s a white screen which doesn’t update and this has been this way for over 2 weeks. Again, I have contacted to advice preloved and ask us the white screen issue due to them trying to resolve my issue but there’s never a response to my messages. The only reply I have received was 3rd April to confirm my Preloved membership payment as successful. April is quickly passing and I’m disappointed having used Preloved well in the past that when I have an issue there’s no acknowledgment. I’ve spent time putting my adverts together and notifying Preloved but I don’t know what to do now. Do I find another site to sell from? Although a small subscription fee I’ve paid what has been the point when I can not get access or my adverts live and I had hoped to have sold in a few days from these listings but a few weeks on, I am frustrated that I can’t even post my adverts for sales.

It's Become a Total Waste of Money - Subscription Cancelled

Update 17/04/2026.
Still no response from Preloved despite there assurance that this would be looked into & despite contact via their feedback page ensuring a 48hr response.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A SUBSCRIPTION.
Preloved used to be a great place to buy and sell but perhaps since it is under new ownership it has become a waste of time and money.
Unable to post adverts as they supposedly sit awaiting editorial review, there's no response to emails and no contact telephone number. No response to X messaging either.
I have cancelled my Premium renewal and disappointed that my current subscription is wasted.
My advice is don't waste your money subscribing here.

Similar experience to other customers. Advert not being posted and nobody from customer services has responded even though I have sent several messages. This is why customers prefer a telephone number.

Listings don't appear on the website

This website has terrible technical problems. Listings are not showing up, even after going live.
Refreshed listings just disappear. New listings either get stuck awaiting approval, or get approved immediately but still can't be found when searching the site.
No reply to customer service messages.
No phone number to call.
Huge opportunity for a new competitor to Preloved to start up, with a website that works.

It's not working!!!!!!!!

I have used preloved a few times over the years and never had an issue until now. I have tried to add an advert now since the beginning of March with it being stuck on awaiting a review, I have deleted the advert multiple times and re submitted hoping for a different result but never get one. Even though I have not needed to pay in the passed for a good experience I paid for a subscription to see if that effected the result and the advert said it went live but we are not able to see the advert when we search for it. I have messaged for support multiple times and had no replies to any of them.
They have taken my money but not provided the service I paid for as I still do not have an advert showing when it is searched for.

Ads take a month to go live don't bother !!

*UPDATE..It's now 12th April still my adverts have not been renewed or gone live in nearly 6 wks?. They never reply via customer service but reply on here then still do nothing so stats show they respond* No point having a website
So after waiting over a month for my ad to go live & contacting them on repeat I only got a reply because I posted on here & even then it took over a wk more. Like many others on here just said they couldn't find my account? Yet they can take payments & msg telling you to renew yr ad to the top. However when u do this it's another month before it goes live again?? So I listed another ad & once again 3 wks nearly & still not gone live or replied to my emails ?? It's now Easter not sold anything because ads don't go live hence my reason for another honest disappointing review hoping this will get them to at least respond. So we pay for a subscription on this site. IT'S NOT FREE & IT'S ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I need to renew & update my 1st ad but if I do this it will take over a month to go live again. I think this site needs to seriously be investigated as this seems to be a common issue. Other sites take 10mins to an hr to review & post ads. Don't waste your time or money!!!
**UPDATE**DEAR STEPHEN FROM PRELOVED. You replied on here yet nobody at preloved can ever reply directly. I gave all the information you asked for yet still my 2 ads ar not live?? Nor has anyone from preloved replied to my emails??? Something seriously going on with this website when everyone has to leave a review on here just to get a response. Still my 2 ads not bn renewed yet they remind u to keep renewing yr ads then rgey take weeks/months to go live?? Zero customer service. Appalling given I paid to be a full member each year.

HAVE YOU TRIED TO CONTACT PRELOVED? You don't have a prayer. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I have sent countless messages to them about the scrambling of messages between buyer and seller. They never fix it and they never respond! Furthermore, these rip-off merchants went on charging me £6/yr for basic membership months after I changed to a £15/yr Premium Membership! So I found myself paying twice for the same account. Can I find a way to stop it? No. Barclays are trying to get my money back, but then they are SO useless they should never have allowed it to be charged in the first place! Anyone know how to close a Preloved account? Blessed if I can find a way. So I've had their subs blocked from my card and bank account UNTIL THEY ANSWER ME.
UPDATE: My review finally made Preloved get in touch! Who knew?
BUT IT'S ALL DONE BY USELESS AI, and they say they can't locate "my order". BUT IT ISN'T ABOUT AN ORDER, IT'S ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH MY ACCOUNT!
I appear to have two, CK18687777569776-1 and CK13542600551528-2. No idea why, but one is £6 and one is £15. One charge was applied to a Visa card that had previously been cancelled! The other to my replacement card. WHY AM I BEING CHARGED TWICE? Not only have all the messages between members been scrambled for months, but my email alerts have been disabled and 15 years of messages from my buyers deleted, AND my listings have been removed from display! I have tried to renew them and can't. I can't get any help from Preloved and some of my buyers are currently trying and failing to reach me! A shambles. A complete and utter shambles! So I am two years of membership fees out of pocket!
UPDATE:
Preloved AI system has asked me for my £6/yr, Membership Account no. CK13542600551528-2 -
I also had a £15/yr account, no. CK18687777569776-1 until a week or so ago.
Then I spotted they were charging me for TWO accounts and tried to contact them. It's hopeless!
So I had Barclays put a stop to all future payments and recover the £15 charge until I could get a response from Preloved about the multiple problems with their site. In the meantime, both I and a friend have tried to open new free accounts. But when we apply no activation code is received by either of us!
Never mind the infuriating scrambling of messages between buyers and sellers, I also lost my email alerts. Why?
The whole mess is caused by Preloved's complete failure to provide contact with any kind of customer service. When things go wrong, you can search the FAQ and if the answer is not in there, you are stuffed! Your only recourse is to LEAVE Preloved and come to Trustpilot to complain. Then what do you get? AI, which achieves nothing........
UPDATE: My complaint is NOT ABOUT AN ORDER!
I am complaining that Preloved:
1) Has a fault that scrambles messages between members.
2) Is no longer sending email alerts about messages.
3) Has been charging me TWICE, as if for two different accounts while providing only one account.
4) Is not responding to any messages sent via their website.
5) Will not answer my bank who are trying to sort the overcharge out.
6) Will not allow me or my friends to open fresh FREE accounts.
7) Are NOT sending email verification messages.
9) Yoti facial recognition software is not functioning.
10) AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEMS TO SORT THEM OUT.

My complain is NOT ABOUT ANY ORDER.

Extremely frustrating!

Extremely frustrating!
Created an ad for a snake nearly 2 months ago! After a couple of weeks it got rejected for pictures not being recent... THEY WERE! So edited the ad to add more RECENT pictures... and still in pending (reached out and got nothing back) so deleted the ad today and instantly got the same rejection (even with picture I had taken today!) Reached out AGAIN but won't hold my breath for a response

I didn’t even want to give this site 1 star but unfortunately you cannot put none which is what it deserves! I added my daughters prom dress to this site last year, I searched for a while for a good site to put it on and come across prom preloved uk. Everything looked great over 9 thousand users and legit photos of dresses wanting to be sold. I received an email saying someone wanted to purchase my dress and had put a deposit down, I clicked the link on the email and it sent me to a page asking for my card details & saying I needed atleast £300 on my card to verify. Straight away that’s a red flag I am the seller not the buyer. Then the amount changed to £250, I sent them a message to have a full understanding of this and got no reply. There’s no proper way of contacting whoever’s behind the shit show of a site, Therefore I asked for the pictures of the dress to be removed off the site and was told if that was to happen my account would be locked and I would be given a penalty of £150?! I was given no information on who wanted to purchase the dress, how much deposit they put down, absolutely nothing! For me that’s too many red flags. I am now going to have to cancel my card in case they kept my details and try to take money from it. Also seen a lot of reviews saying it’s a scam. You try do a nice thing and people have nothing better to do than try scam people. Absolutely appalling!!!

What is wrong with Preloved??

What is wrong with Preloved??? All the messages both to and from my account are garbled! So I sent them a message about it. Did I get a response? No. So I tried to find another way to contact them. Is there a way? Not as far as I can tell. All I want is to find out why this is happening, but there seems to be no way! If they cannot be bothered to answer enquiries, they might at least make the site work properly!
