Preloved Avis 52

Have Preloved gone bust? It's the only explanation I can find for the mess they are in. I've been a member for 15 years and it used to be good, but now...........
Problem 1) Starting several months ago the messages between buyers and sellers became garbled. If you left out all punctuation and paragraphs it helped.
Problem 2) I my bank sent me a new debit card, and I upgraded from basic membership of £6 to Premium at £15. But I discovered that Preloved were charging me for both, and deducting the basic from the cancelled card! I complained to the bank, who tried to get sense out of Preloved. Nope. So they are trying to get my money back.
Problem 3: Alerts of incoming messages used to be emailed to me. Not for the past couple of weeks.
Problem 4: All my carefully crafted adverts have suddenly been taken down and ALL my messages have been deleted - the inbox is empty!
Problem 5: I can't open a new account.
Problem 6: Anyone know if Yoti is compulsory? I wondered if it might be, so tried to register. Nope, facial recognition isn't working.
Problem 7: Anyone know if Trustapp is compulsory? I couldn't find a way into that, either!
I have sent countless messages about the problems to them through their website over the past few months. Nothing improves and nobody answers.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have had the same experience this week beginning mon 18th Nov 2025. I placed two adverts and paid for silver membership yet nothing has been activated by the administration. I used think Preloved was great and never had problems before but haven't had to place an ad for a few years. What is going on? I want my money back if they don't correct this within the next 48 hours. I have sent them an email today about it but still no reponse

I had a few items I wanted to sell. Previously, I used to post them on Preloved, and my adverts were approved — I sold lots of things that way. This time I thought I’d pay for the Premium service, which cost me £15 for the year. I posted ads 5 days ago and nothing has happened. No approval, no response — they’ve taken my £15.

I’ve had no reply to the emails I’ve sent. This site has gone downhill. They are scamming people out of money. If you can’t manage the business properly, then put a notice on your site and be honest: tell people not to upgrade their membership and deactivate that option. Don’t scam people. Give me my money back!

All help team apparently either gone AWOL or simply can't be bothered. I have been trying to change my email adress after this was involved with a breach, Been trying for five days now. No answer to three request emails. Still insisting I use a compromised email address to log in. So much for security!

I have tried and tried to retrieve or change password and preloved never send link to do this. I cannot log in ever.

Absolutely rubbish, I posted my advert five days ago and Preloved have still not made the advert go live. How are you supposed to sell things on their website. They don't even reply to your emails. Stay well away.

Great Canadian Clothing brand. Jules the owner is an extraordinary woman who has been at it for 30 years making great clothing while saving the planet. Everything I have ordered or purchased from them in store is beautifully designed, great fit and quality. I would highly recommend you trust your purchase with them as you get what you see and you are supporting local and fabulous women!

Not at all worth the work! After subtracting the booth cost, the tags and stickers cost, and the 40% from my sells, I would have made so much more had I sold my items at a yard sale. I will never sell there again.

very poor customer service (as mentioned by many others) it has gone downhill a lot over the last 2 years . Very difficult to put ads online , website is always problematic and has been for a few years now - I've had enough , not worth £25 per month , no more !!

Now the app is gone I've just tried to use this site on the laptop like the good old days.

Preloved used to be very user friendly but now it's impossible to see local ads. It's seems to be impossible to search for ads in Scotland?? I've messaged preloved but you never get an answer. Closed my account.

Is it any wonder this company has such bad reviews. I paid for membership to later find the app was horrific, didn’t work properly, couldn’t list items.
I asked to cancel and refund my money as their service was not fit for purpose. Took them over a month to reply and tell me they have cancelled my membership and also kept my money! The company should be shut down for ripping people off. I will go to my bank now to get my money back. You people can and will not get away with treating people like that

Horrific service they advertise Premium membership say you can place unlimited ads. I paid £15 for this for 12 months and placed 3 adverts and they took them down and demand I pay £30 a month for business membership. They won’t refund me my £15 and I have only had the membership for two months not 12 and I can’t place an advert. My advice is never use these they used to be good and now they just out to scam you and make as much money as possible.

I have ordered a few times , first time was good after this was terrible, than I tried another time as it was an offer , said it was handpicked, No supermarket brands, only high quality high street brands , said you'll be able to make £120 per box.. Nothing was true !! Was only Sainsbury's and Morrisons stuff , very dirty , lots of cuts , just awful!!! Total waste of money

Extremely poor selling and buying site. You have to pay to see current, recent adverts which are completely free on Ebay and Gumtree. Why use such a restrictive site? Most adverts are still showing as 'current' despite the item having been sold, sometimes days, weeks or months before. I can only think that this to bulk out items available for sale to show how effective, this totally ineffective site is.

I won’t be renewing my membership that’s for sure I’m sick to death of the most annoying pop up ads that are relentless what a joke, reported and still nothing has been done. ????

I've been a member since 2008 I've used this platform alot but of late it's becoming notoriously difficult to publish adverts esp animal adverts, the ridiculous loops and red tape you have to go through these days and it literally makes no sense!! ie bird adverts must have APHA written on??? Why exactly? Individual birds are not registered your holding is, it's making processing times of adverts ridiculous!! Horse adverts not being published unless pictures of their hoofs are put on? What?.... go and see the horse maybe, if you don't that's their problem not yours!! Won't allow Emu ads??? Emus are off the dangerous animal list and have been for some years (law) again makes no sense! I think maybe the idiots making these rules need to take a serious look at themselves your ruining Preloved a platform I have used an awful lot on previous years... carry on like it and I can assure you, you won't be around by 2026!!
