2 female staff standing chatting together at customer service Darnley Glasgow ignoring me totally. Customers need to wait till they've finished their conversation.. Also picking up baskets tidying up seems to be more important than serving you when stuck waiting for staff to clear smthg at self service till. Customers should be helped first. Need some re-training. Most staff miserable and don't want to help. Obviously they'd rather not be there. Take a leaf out Tesco's book. Their customer service used to be bad but now the best!

I have gone right downhill since they closed the cafés the pharmacies and the vacuum packed minced is disgusting. They have ruined everything.
Sainsburys Local Rip Off Prices
I have always avoided Sainsburys and Tescos as both have been ovrercharging british consumers for years. Since the arrival of LIdl and Aldi we can always see a ridiculous price difference, but the Sainsburys Locals really take the biscuit. The other day I ran out of oat milk, which sadly I now have to use for health reasons and so as I was on my way home I had to go to my Sainsburys local for times sake which I pass on my way home. Imagine my shock to find they were only charging £1.75 which is cheaper than anywhere for Alpro No Sugar. It
usually around £2.00 most places.
Thinking I'd misjudged them I walked past the next day and decided to nip in and buy another litre only to find 24 hours later it had shot up to £2.30! A price hike of 55 pence in 24 hours. Simply confirming my thought they are a complete rip off. Usually their PR says the Sainsburys locals are convenience stores and cost them more to run? This slightly at odds with their £1.2 BILLION OPERATING PROFIT in 2024. I'll stick to Lidl and Aldi thanks. Wow!
My favourite store
I have shopped with Sainsbury's since the late nineties and experienced the changes over the years but it's all good and some things I don't like but that's my opinion.
I like the layout of the store, hot and cold counters, the aisles are spacious, the presentation of the shelves and items accessible.
The following indoor outlets, Tu clothing, Argos, Starbucks and hair salon makes life accomodating and convenient .
Nectar points give a fabulous return and incentive
The self serve till I disapprove of but that's the only fault
Last three times not happy with Sainsbury's
I tried to complain on line after three failed attempts over a couple of months to withdraw cash at Sainsbury's Gloucester at the brick wall outside. The last time a lady in front of me said she was fed up as this had happened to her too several times so said she was going to Tesco to do her shopping and draw out cash. When I complained to the manager she just said they're working on it so I replied that they've been working on it a long time because every time I need cash it's either not working or they have run out of cash! I had to buy a lottery ticket the last two times I've been there to enable me to get £50 cashback! She then told me it is a different company that manages the cash machine and it was out of their hands! I said this would be the last time I shop at Sainsbury's until their cash machine is up and running. She didn't even ask for my telephone number. Whilst complaining I would also point out that the plants outside are always lacking water and end up in the skip. What a waste!
There add description is misleading
There add description states,
It came under budget, and healthy food for everyone,
They need to be more factual,
What was his budget and how much did he spend,
Plus not all food is healthy in Sainsbury's.
Put the facts in there add.
Total incompetence and thieves
I ordered goods including an 8 pack of diet Pepsi and an 8 pack of fanta some of the goods were delivered the drinks were not, when I asked the driver for them he said that was the only bag for delivery, I called them and complained, got through to the store and spoke to the guy who picked my order he said he picked the drinks.
I phoned chop chop again all they would do is refund the cost of the drinks which is odd because sainsburys told me I couldn't have a refund because the order had been picked.
Working on the basis of my experience with chop chop they employ idiots and thieves.
Previously someone else's order was delivered 2 boxes of wine when we ordered £55 of groceries from them, prior to that missing items.
Scammers!
Happy Easter, chop chop orders scammers. I don’t received my order but taken money from my bank account!!! Big scam chop chop F6B661 , Sainsbury robbers times, phone numbers scam nobodies pick up. After two hours!!, customer service said “ we will refund and send confirmation email, but don’t received. I’m victim of fraud
The Sainsbury's Local on Carholme Road - poor ATM service
The Sainsbury's Local on Carholme Road in Lincoln, LN1 1RR lists free ATM withdrawals as a service provided for their customers. Cant say I agree. Earlier this evening I went to use the ATM to withdraw £50 - the machine returned my card a little too quickly and went into "processing transaction " mode without stopping . The machine did not give out my cash but nonetheless has taken it from my account. It seems people had this happen on a number of occasions according to the security people out side the store. Do not use the ATM ( a NoteMachine) at this store. AVOID.
Stamford Street toilet paper
Avoid the Stamford street toilet paper at sainsburys like the plague
It's scented and causes a terrible reaction, have had to go back to the one I normally use
!!!!!
They refused to allow withdrawal but grateful to above name mentioned in display picture. for making sure all my pending withdrawal was possible..
Unprofessional…
Went to Sainsbury’s today had a damaged pomegranate which was no big deal. I just asked if they could get me a new one. said that would be absolutely fine. She said just help yourself and took the one from my hand. Then I go to leave the store and get a security guard in my face. Another customer whale was in aggressively saying yeah I saw him and now apparently I’m banned from the store, because I told the security guard to get out of my face.
Never again
Never again ! I called in at my local Sainsbury’s to get some fresh fruit and groceries. Absolutely no problem with the quality or price which I have to say is always good.BUT no checkout after 4.00 apparently. I had no idea that senior citizens or disabled people had been placed under a curfew.
I struggled with the self service till with a great deal of discomfort and pain due to my health issues. The two staff members were deep in conversation and clearly were not to be disturbed.
It took me just over an hour to spend £28.00 leaving me in a great deal of pain for the rest of the day.
So Sainsbury another loyal customer lost
Bracknell bagshot road treats customers with contempt.
This review is specifically for the Bracknell Bagshot Road branch. I have been visiting this store for many years and I cannot say how disgusted I have been recently by its attitude towards customers. I wont mention the obsession they have for moving products around - every few months! Apparently, and this seems to be an official policy, at certain times of the day if you want to pay for your shopping at a checkout you have to go and search for a member of staff and ask them kindly if they would not mind opening a checkout for you. Even just standing there is not enough to suggest you might want to pay. Today, and not the first time I walked half way across the store to ask a member of staff called Chrissy (wears a face mask) to be 'allowed' to pay. I was immediately met with an attitude and made to feel like I was interrupting her very important task. I say again, it is policy that customers must ASK to pay at a checkout - wow! In any case I am now using up my nectar points and in a couple of weeks will shop at Tesco. I would urge others to do the same. They have more checkouts and they put staff on them. Sainsburys, please stop treating your customers with contempt. And tell your store managers to stop hiding behind their deputies when a customers asks to see them.
Disappointed
I bought a aloo saag today but was very disappointed as the potato was not cooked really spoilt the meal.

I ordered a delivery with chop chop the fast delivery, I ordered, paid my shopping was packed and picked up by a delivery driver, he never came to my address instead sent me random texts that he was going to cancel my order,he asked me to go outside, I live in a first floor flat and it was cold outside, he was nowhere in my carpark, he cancelled my shopping, when I rang customer services they said I'd get a refund within 5 days but if I wanted my shopping would have to re order and pay again! I didn't have enough money to do that.
After many calls to customer services and being given head office numbers that don't exist and speaking to countless customer service personnel I asked fir a transcript of my calls, still waiting and don't expect to get, Sainsbury's is the worst customer service that I have ever come across,
Delivery driver Robert
I just wanted to say that Robert who delivered my groceries today was exceptional in that he went away and came back when I was running late and was prepared to wait for me. He was very professional, kind and helpful order number 1137678284 Hazel Tomlinson In Maidenhead today 3-4pm drop off. A great asset to your company.
Please Be Kind To Customers
I've had some positive and negative experiences with Sainsbury's delivery
