Smart care rewards con
Please note this is specifically about smart care rewards not D and G insurance or repairs.
The site is hopeless, the info insufficient. The chat bot seems to think that although they can sell you a gas hob and installation for 115£ they can not in fact offer this. As the prices are virtually no better than Currys, ao, etc it's pretty much a con anyway. And you get incessant phone calls to try and upsell their useless insurance. I'd make a formal complaint to trading standards but they do nothing and frankly I haven't got the time. Avoid anything to do with this mob of con artists.

Non existant customer services. My anxiety is through the roof. Cut off twice then told i have no cover. Spoke to someone else who said im only covered if there is accidental damage....im insured for a washing machine. I was put through to warrentirs who said i was covered and put a note on my account. I had to call back and they still continued to say i didnt have cover. I told them to look in my notes and she found it. She didnt speak well English and kept asking question I had already answered. 4 hours to sort out getting my washer fixed to be told iv to stay in from 8am to 6pm. Its a good job i dont work. Im totally stressed and that annoyed i started to cry. Its unbelievable the service we recieve no adays. Avoid this compamy.

Still trying to get a replacement washing machine after months of trying. No contact phone number is available. I have been trying to use the chatbot to speak with a rep. It often takes agent to connect with a human agent... most recently, the agent (Mark) hung up on me because he thought *I* was the one who was taking too long to respond to messages!

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Been paying for insurance on my washing machine for over 4 years as it was only £3 odd to take out and was promised it covers everything and if not repairable they'll take away and provide a replacement. Cost has gone up to almost £9 a month and apparently they have changed the terms and conditions when it changed from initial to extended warranty. Pump has now gone and after waiting a week for an engineer to come out have now been told its not covered as the bottom is rusty (well it would be as I already told them it has a leak and is rusted) Now been told i need to wait for 48 hours more for a decision and all this time I'm without a washing machine that will spin the water out so anything washed is drip drying with buckets underneath. Tried to ring them and after waiting on hold and finally getting connected the operator has put the phone down on me.
Engineer just tried to get me to buy a new one with smartcare and apparently they no longer take away the old machine or fit it for you. Great when you're disabled
Consequently no cancelling my policy and buying a new washing machine elsewhere. Wish I'd done that 4 years ago. Total rip off. Don't touch with a barge pole

Still trying to get a washing machine fixed. I have wasted hours talking to a bunch of incompetent people. It would be cheaper and quicker to just to buy a new machine. Transfer five times every time and still they don’t manage to book an appointment. Disgraceful.

I'm at a loss of what to do after trying live chat, phone and email and waiting patiently when advised I would receive a response within 30 working days which has now come and gone. There doesn't seem to be an actual human dealing with anything or any way to get some help. A very frustrating waste of time and money

Freezer top part fell off after a few weeks. Spent hours on phone, engineer to come between 9&6 on given day so had to wait in all day. He was given wrong address and wrong information about part, so couldn’t fix on day as told. Still waiting 3 weeks on.
Tried all afternoon to get clarification of points total, would like to use for freestanding microwave oven. No reply from typed messages, now holding for ever for a person, not machine to talk to. I’ve been told the call centre are in South Africa and do not know or understand!!!!

Bought a no Frost fridge freezer with my points and wish I'd chosen a different make fridge freezer.
It ices up in the fridge compartment, then it defrost and water over the shelves and then requires cleaning up.
When try to contact anyone it's nightmare as was sold no Frost yet it is worse then previous fridge freezer that was manual defrost one.
The repair man told me it's normal for it to ice up and defrost and there is no fault.
I believe was misold the item.
Now I've over £1000 in reward points but do you think can spend it on one item no this is where they catch you, they only give you a discount and not always a decent one either so my fridge freezer was something like £400 originally and I paid £265 think with using some of the points you can't use points to pay for the appliances in full you always end up paying something.
The choice is okay but not great.
Overall not really worth it.
Tried all day to get through to someone mainly online but kept getting connecting you to an agent then would say smart are has left and would have to start again, phone was no better no one answered and after while got cut off.

I am very happy ordered my free kit for my new ceramic hob and oven. Did not buy any product as by curry’s mistake with advertising hob and cooker for £414 was a bargain instead £800 something. I was chuffed as only that oven was would be £400. Love free kit and in the further I will use credit to buy something but at the moment I am all ok. DG are great insurance

No stars does not exist sadly. Smartcare misinformationcare more like, over 2 hours going from Domestic and General, Smartcare and Hotpoint trying to find out how order my free kit after my purchase. The smartcare website is pathetic and gives details how to claim but when you look for it its missing. Total head-game and nobody really knows on the phone lines, except what they are told, where you can order your free kit. I spoke to 4 people where l was directed to claim of which 2 were very helpful but 2 were very defensive and had no communication skills and unable to answer my queries denying they are the right extension. I would not recommend having anything to do with Smartcare and l certainly will not from now on as its a real turn off to what sort of website Hotpoint/whirlpool/Domestic&General etc whoever have created. Very quick to take your money but little else. I have been a customer for decades but never again.

I have £1,587.72 to spend here at SmartCare Rewards. They are a con as my cooker is 8 or 9 years old and I've accumulated £1,587.72 to spend here at SmartCare Rewards.over the years and can't use %699.98 them to buy appliance out right. Which is outrageous considering the current climate we are cost of living energy bills prices up and down cost of water coucil tax all being raised aswel. The inflation of price on kitchen appliances is ridiculous. They should be giving false information or leading people to believe they've saved money by accumulating these rewards when can't buy out right. Not even a trade off is offered where you can purchase one appliance out right but loose the remainder of rewards
I have got intou h with my local MP about these worthless rewards and smartcare rewards holders being gas lighted that they can't use use all the rewards to buy things out right

Useless, I was told I had built up enough awards to entitle me to a free gift of cleaning products of my choice. Not true. No free rewards on my account. Also the £3000 rewards I have are actually worth very little discount, you could get cheaper online. Terrible rewards scheme.

I have 3000k rewards i want to replace my freezer it's cheaper than other suppliers with the discount so will purchase but will not be getting DnG cover for it. I believe there should be some sort of trade for vouchers to be used elsewhere
Even it's a percentage of your reward amount or allow the rewards to fully pay for the purchase.
