Strachan Avis

Strachan furniture installed a large bookcase on our stairs landing. They spent a lot of time making sure that we got exactly what we wanted and that the colour matched nearby furniture. The plans were very detailed and it was installed very quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them.

Our experience with Strachan was excellent from start to finish. We wanted bespoke display cabinets, a sideboard and matching mirror, for our dining room. The Design Consultant who visited our home was professional, very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. He listened to our needs, asked plenty of questions to ensure all the details were covered and brought along samples for us to choose from. He produced computer-aided images and gave sound advice where necessary. He even had working samples of the strip/spot lighting for our display cabinets. Once we’d agreed the design and the price, we then had a visit from a surveyor, who took detailed measurements for our furniture. Throughout the process we received detailed drawings, letters of confirmation and a telephone call to sort out the finer detail. The Installer arrived at 8.00am on the agreed date and did a marvellous job of building the new units! He was neat, tidy, polite and hard-working, with excellent skills. The work took two days and he made sure that all materials and tools were stored safely overnight. His attention to detail and quality of work were outstanding. The finished job is wonderful: we are delighted with our new furniture! We would highly recommend Strachan and would like to thank everyone, including the Customer Service Team and Installations Co-Ordinator for all their help. A thorough, professional job from start to finish.

Writing this whilst fitter is in house completing job that we were promised would take three/five days.Job started in November 22 and because of the problems the company created it is being finished today,08/02/2023 at 19.20hrs.
We have paid this company £15,000 for the privilege of being messed around and basically, lied to.
Do NOT use them if you want a job completed as promised !
We will go elsewhere for the other fitted furniture we require

Thank you to all the members of Strachan Furniture Makers, especially the ones who helped us with our beautiful bespoke furniture. From the first visit to your showroom, the planning, designs and Aaron with his first class expertise in fitting everything. Not forgetting of course the excellent guys who were instrumental in making it at the factory first. Clerical staff, office staff who kept us up to date with plans and delivery dates, we applaud you all.
It is a real pleasure for us walking into the room and admiring it's beauty, and hopefully for years to come.
Many thanks,
Chris & Gwynneth Booth

The designer who came to our home was patient and changed designs a few times to meet our needs and added his ideas that were good. The office kept in contact with us throughout. The fitter arrived on time each day and fitted the furniture in a very tidy manner. Covering all the carpets and cleaning the area thoroughly each day. The room looks amazing. Thank you.

Strachan designed, manufatured and fitted storage and display furniture for me to my specification, including a very bespoke item. All personnel were polite and professional at all times and all activities carried out on schedule. To say I am pleased with the finished job would be an understatement.

Amazing firm with superb levels of workmanship and customer service. We love both our office, and library (which included a tricky "hidden door" feature, specially designed to make a random idea become a fabulous reality). Specific thank you to Paula Oxley in the office and Adam Clarke and Steve Kitt our installers who were all brilliant throughout.
Wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to anyone.

This is the second time I have used Strachan - once for a home study and once for some living room units. Both times I was impressed with the quality of workmanship, the skills of the fitter and the overall timeliness of the installation.
I would highly recommend them.

During all stages from designing to the installation of my study library, Strachan have been extremely professional and friendly. The final product is exactly how I envisaged it to be. A special mention to Paul Oxley who maintained communications on updates throughout the process, and Strachan's excellent installer Giovanni Taibi, who spent five days working meticulously on every detail for a perfect finish. Many thanks Strachan!
