I'd give zero stars if I could!
What a useless system, all of a sudden it's become impossible to sign in because they linked swiftqueue to nhs login all passwords offered are rejected, both swiftqueue and nhs!
Completely useless! And this change has been done without any warnings or helpful information on what to do in order to login
So, we've now got a system as useful as a chocolate tea pot in place of a system that did work well
Dedaleus Swiftqueue appears not to be…
Dedaleus Swiftqueue appears not to be seamless or integrated or in anyway a patient pathway. As there is no possibility of talking to a real person at the company the experience becomes a frightening anxious drift into nowhere land. The local surgery is blocked up with people calling because they can’t make swiftqueue work - currently the local hospital Hertford County Hospital does no appear as an option for a blood test. No reason why given? Is it my fault or the surgery or is the system down. usual basic bad UX -no reasons given for error.

One of the most horrible services I’ve ever used. I can’t even piece my words to describe the completely condescending and utter disrespect we’ve just experienced using Swiftqueue’s eye triage service. Why do people have to go through such a horrendous process before accessing eye care? From utter contempt to individuals who are so rude! Who don’t even listen to your complaints and ask you the same questions over again, to treating you with disdain when you actually needed the service, is completely appalling and disgraceful behaviour.
My poor husband was exhausted with the entire horrible experience and if not that his eye was still inflamed, and his employer needed something from the NHS we’d have gone private.
Crappy interface that took so long to…
Crappy interface that took so long to navigate that by the time I could log in the time slot had gone. Collecting useless diversity data gets in the way of the process. But then that is nothing unusual in the NHS
NHS outsourcing
I used to telephone and speak to someone to get an appointment for a blood test and appointments were available the next day or the day after. Now having to apply on line the wait for an appointment is over a week and in visiting the chosen site the place is virtually empty!! This is yet another exsmple of outsourcing which takes money from the NHS to provide a useless service. The people responsible for allowing these probably American firms access to public money in this way should be sacked. This type of legalised filching is what is responsible for our public services being in such a depleted state. We are asked to pay more and more tax only to put it into the hands of venture capitalists and others whose greed for money amounts to an illness. I note that it is impossible to contact these horrors. I hope they contact me. I am sick and tired of these vultures!!!!

Whatever Swiftqueue have done to their blood test booking system, it’s useless! I used to be able to book without a problem, but now the link to the NHS app makes it impossible. I have just given up after wasting an hour on this
Tried to cancel and re-book appointment with NGH BTU.
Tried to cancel and re-book an appointment at the Northampton BTU - Bloody nightmare! What a Cr*p system! Just ended up going round in circles - Not in any way fit for purpose. Ended up having to call and speak to one of the helpful staff there.
A blood test at Petersfield surgery…
A blood test at Petersfield surgery caused severe pain in my left arm. Phlebotomist (no name badge visible) & her assistant Anne lied about the availability of small/ butterfly needles! I know they have them because there is one super efficient kind friendly phlebotomist who always uses them. They eventually reluctantly found a butterfly needle after I’d said that Kirsty always uses them ( kind helpful phlebotomist) but the assistant phlebotomist Anne used too much force on my arm pressing the needle down (totally unnecessary) while blood was taken & afterwards. I had to ask her to remove her finger- she was hurting me. I wanted to complain on the Swiftqueue site but unable to do so. I live with chronic invisible nerve pain & treatment like this is totally unacceptable. I now have severe nerve pain & tingling & numbness up & down my left arm into my fingers. Disgusting treatment & should not be allowed. Listen to patients rather than treat us like shopping items going through a conveyor belt at a supermarket till!
Has worked in the past but hopeless…
Has worked in the past but hopeless today. Cannot find any of my local sites for blood tests tho I have used them via this system in the past; map of sites resolves to somewhere north of Mauritious! Then there is no access to a human to help. Why is there no help desk for immediate help- other than a form to be completed and presumably answered when it suits them. Why can't the NHS app (usually good for me) provide this service anyway?
If I could give it 0 stars I would
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Utterly useless and waste of NHS funds.
Tried to book an XRay at a local hospital.
Unable to even find a hospital on the location field which uses a Address Predictive Search. Eg use London as a location, and it picks up roads with London, all over the country. Enter the correct spelling for a hospital and it won't find it.
If I leave the location field blank and select XRay, it only finds hospitals in Berkshire! I think that this inability to function is enough for the NHS trusts to end the contract.
Total Pants
Swiftqueue could make things a lot better by shutting down and letting a competent organisation deal with booking appointments. It says on the website about better communication but no telephone number or email address is on the website or if it is it is very well hidden. You cannot even give feedback on the site. Maybe this is because they get so many poor reviews. Everything about it is so rubbish and it's the last thing people want to struggle with when they are experiencing health issues. Nice one swiftqueue.
Has to be one of worst platforms for…
Has to be one of worst platforms for booking appointmemts I have come across - issue is if you log in with your NHS app ...
If I could give this app zero
If I could give this app zero, I would! You are sent a message on your phone giving you an appointment which every time, I cannot do. You are not given a choice to book one. When going onto the app to change the appointment, it doesn’t show your current appointment and makes it impossible to rearrange. Why is the NHS using such a useless way of booking blood Tests? This is a waste of money and time.
Not suprised patients die
Not suprised patients die, just trying to log in is a nightmare, only want a simple blood test not a set of neuclear pass codes
I am only giving it 1 star because the…
I am only giving it 1 star because the option for 0 doesn’t exist. Awful awful website, continually plagued by technical issues, now has decided to link with the NHS login which doesn’t work and locks you out of any ability to book, amend or view an appointment. And it’s got a complete monopoly on the blood test appointment booking system! Helpdesk never resolve issues, makes a stressful situation so much worse, how users with little technical/ digital literacy use it is a miracle. The NHS seriously need to review this provider, absolutely shocking.
Definitely not SWIFT Q
Never had an issue with Swift? queue before, but now I have to access via the NHS App as my direct password doesn't work any more. Eventually when you get in you go to book an appointment by choosing a hospital and it whites it out so it can't be read I've tried it numerous times tonight to no avail, so I have given up. I'll try again tomorrow, it's so exhausting. I work on computers every day so I'd score myself a good 8 when it comes to being tech savy, but this system has me beat.
SwiftQueue seems to let down NHS electronic access
I have been using the NHS app for quite a while now. It is now a reasonably good system. I can login quite quickly. Recently, I was prompted to use swift Q and chose to access it via my NHS login. I was booking a blood test appointment at Hemel Hospital.
Swift Q seems to fail at various levels.
Firstly, when I tried to book the blood test via swift Q it would not provide an option for me to choose the department that was referring me for the blood test. As a consequence I had to ring to book the appointment and that takes quite a lot of time on hold.
After that I received a text message confirmation of the appointment.
When I logged in to Swift Q, I went to the appointments section and the appointment that I have made and had confirmed does not feature there.
There is no customer support link on the Swift Q portal. This is why I find myself reporting these problems here. These are basic defects. I’m very concerned that our local health authority is wasting money on a supplier like this which is not meeting a sufficiently high standard. Dealing with services like this costs the Patient may be something like three or four times their time and I am dubious about the time efficiency delivered to the health service.
I am surprised that the NHS App people tolerate access to swift Q via the NHS App because I think it is likely the NHS App reputation will suffer.
Subsequent research on this service reveals that it is provided by an essentially Italian company called Dedalus which is now majority owned by a Private Equity operation called Ardian.
SwiftQueue web pages claim there is a company called "Dedalus Healthcare UK Ltd" which I cannot find as a UK registered company. There is a company called "Dedalus Healthcare Ltd" which was dissolved 28Mar23. Same principal director as quoted in press release about Ardian acquisition. So, as far as I can tell from public info, SwiftQueue is not a UK company but it pretends to be.
I have subsequently picked up some tips from a regular blood test service user who has a critical need for timely tests. The advice is not to use the SwiftQueue app. Use browser based log-in instead. I will try this.
The other advice was to use PALS if you get stuck but I have not so far managed to access PALS for my area.
Efficient for some
Efficient for some, but a nightmare for chronic pain sufferers.
While I initially found the Swiftqueue app easy to use with good initial availability, the reality of using this system while living with severe chronic pain and mobility issues has been a nightmare.
As an ambulatory wheelchair user with unpredictable flare-ups and sleep deprivation, being locked into a specific time slot simply doesn't work for me. I have had to cancel 3 or 4 times recently because I cannot predict how I will feel at a set time.
The old 'walk-in and wait' system was much better for my needs; it allowed me to travel by taxi when I felt well enough to move.
Now, I’ve been trying to get vital thyroid blood tests for months but keep missing out because the system is too restrictive.
While this might be more efficient for the hospital, it isn't 'greener grass' for patients with complex health needs. There is conflicting information about whether walk-ins are still allowed, but the current rigid scheduling makes accessing healthcare feel impossible when you are already struggling.
It is incredibly frustrating to feel like the system has become a barrier to getting the care I need.
Terrible
Terrible. I am fairly competent with IT and attempted to use Swiftqueue to book an XRay appointment. I tried several times over a 6 day period and was unsuccessful every time. I had to renew my password twice after attempting to link it with my nhs log in. So very frustrating and when I did get past all this I had a message that the booking opportunity had expired. Not fit for purpose and probably costing the tax payers billions.
If the blood test wasn't important
If the blood test wasn't important, I might have given it 2 stars. What nonsense. The doctor called me to book the test and pick up the form at the GP reception desk, so I did. I went for the blood test, and they told me it was the wrong place and the addresses are on the form. WHAT? The next available appointment is in two weeks! It doesn't matter that I need now before my appointment with specialist ,right now !no who would ask there? In two weeks, I won't need any more tests, and I'll probably forget anyway! Two weeks! People designing this app …..money grab that all what it is.wish you all health problems
