Tenpin Birmingham Star City lives inside the Star City leisure complex, just off the M6 and a few minutes from the city centre, Aston and Nechells — easy reach whether you’re driving in or hopping the bus. With 28 bowling lanes and fantastic lane light effects, we’re one of Birmingham’s biggest bowling spots. Plenty of room. Loud music. Pins that won’t know what hit them. And it’s not just bowling. Tuesday 2 for 1 drinks & bowling deal very good value!
We visit sometimes on the 2 for 1 Tuesday deal which is excellent value. Can't remember the last time I paid £2.60 for a pint lol. The bowling area has been updated and improved and offers a nice environment. Drinks table was rather wonky so didn't use it but apart from that, all good. And I won! X

Fun but slight mixup
It was all fun apart from the mixup with lanes and delays - was told lane one then lane seven and had to switch causing us to start like 40 late

Good service overall
Good service overall. Only issue was with the lane recording of pins being knocked down, the first pin wasn’t registering as knocked down, we were moved lane but our scores transferred which were not actual score

Definitely recommend
Really easy to navigate the webpage - clean and friendly - bowling alley pc easy to use and fun to out your own photos on, easy to put the bumpers on. Couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work to order drinks and the queue was 20 people deep so we had no drinks until we went home which was a shame, but we came as a family and loved it

Good value for money on a Sunday, and the campden pale is back to its best now the pumps have been fixed.

6th Birthday Party
We had our sons 6th birthday at StarCity Tenpin and it was brilliant!
Unfortunately my son was ill for his actual birthday but they rearranged for us for the following weekend with no trouble at all.
On the day, we arrived not really knowing what to expect but it was fab! Two lovely party hosts who couldn't do enough to accommodate. Two fun games of bowling, yummy pizza and chips and even party games inbetween! For the price it was absolutely fantastic and all 7 rowdy boys said how amazing it was. We had one happy little birthday boy! Thank you!

Entire experience of my 10year old child’s birthday party is excellent. The food is good. The staff entertained the kids well and they are helpful throughout the party.

Bowling and arcade
The bowling was fun and easy to access but some of the arcade machines were either not working or had bugs.

Extremely busy as expected but not…
Extremely busy as expected but not enough staff to accommodate at all. When we were given our lane there was food and drinks still left at our lane which we had to remove ourselves and then for about 10/15 mins at the end of our game the next lot of people were hovering over us and it made me feel very uncomfortable to the point I had to move all my belongings to the floor closer to the bowling alley

Nice venue, need more staff
This venue always seems under staffed, there are often queues to either get checked in or to buy a drink, (there are 5 bar stations with only 2 open at any one time) staff often look very busy, I'm suspecting this is because there isn't enough staff working at any one time. We no longer eat at this venue due to the quality of the food, we often eat after leaving the venue at an outside restaurant. Having said that we do have a good time once we have got past the above challenges and I'm sure once the above issues have been sorted out it would be an even better venue to visit.
