I would not recommend this company at…
I would not recommend this company at all. They were very unhelpful. I purchased a urine test but despite doing the test exactly as I was told the results were not conclusive and despite saying it had grown three organisms they could not tell me what they were and refused to send out another test. I was extremely disappointed and would advise everyone to not waste a lot of money only to get zero results of what I and dealing with. I would never use the company again.

Where there is growth of 3 or more organisms on a culture it is not possible to identify the individual organisms. This is not us being difficult - it is just not technically possible. You would get the same response from any other laboratory with the same mixed growth on a culture.
The most common cause of this type of result is contamination of the urine sample with skin flora during sample collection. We can of course repeat the test for you if it is clinically indicated. I have checked your patient profile and there is no email from you requesting a repeat test - only a request that we forward the full lab report.
If you contact the helpdesk then someone can go through your results with you and suggest the best way forward.

Fast service and great communication
The test kit I ordered arrived promptly, the instructions were simple and clear to understand/follow. I got my results back within the time stated on their website. I did contact them requesting further information about my results, I received a reply within minutes. Very positive experience.

I needed to get some testing completed that my doctors practice unfortunately would not offer to do for me. Found the website- the process was quick and efficient! The customer service team was quick and efficient to come back to me and responded to all my queries.
Got the results I was waiting for and further advice which was great! Highly recommend!

BV Gardnerella test - not a test
Considering the information below:
"A normal level of Gardnerella is a concentration of less than 10 (7) CFU/ml of vaginal fluid,
per The Journal of Clinical Microbiology, while higher levels can indicate BV. "
unless the concentration is specified it rather makes this test redundant. I do realise that other tests were carried out as well, but I do have a sense of unprofessionalism/inaccuracy within your lab.
The whole point of the test is not that Gardnerella is present (it naturally is) it is what concentration is there.
I was hoping I could rely on this test going forward on a regular basis but obviously not.

We do not offer a standalone Gardnerella test for exactly the reason that you have pointed out in your review. The test panel you have referenced includes a microscopy using the Hay/Ison grading technique to establish if the balance of vaginal flora indicates BV or not. The Gardnerella element of the the test panel uses DNA PCR - this is a qualitative test. As you say, this is not helpful on its own, which is why other elements are included in the panel.
The purpose of this test is to identify the cause of symptoms; it is not a test for patients to monitor levels of naturally occurring vaginal organisms.
I am sorry if this panel did not meet your expectations. We will review the website content to ensure that this is fairly represented. The Gardnerella page was however recently reviewed to explain why it was no longer offered as a standalone test.
