Dreadful customer service.

I purchased a copy of the lovely Jane Hissey series Old Bear which was supposed to be complete with all episodes across 3 DVDs.

Two of the DVDs were fine (no worse quality than the official Jane Hissey YouTube videos) but the third was completely wrong - 'Chucklevision'.

I requested a replacement Old Bear DVD to replace the incorrect one which took weeks to arrive, and when it did, I found they'd sent me another copy of the wrong Chucklevision DVD!

I raised this with Charlie but have had no reply or replacement 5 months on. My toddler is really disappointed as he loves the series and really wanted to watch the others.

SCAM, I ORDERED A FILM DOWNLOAD AND IT WAS THE WRONG FILM AND POOR QUALITY AT THAT. NO RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE

Discs do not work. Contacted company no reply.

Mr. Friendly 'before' you make your order, but once you've ordered and received your item they don't want to know! I ordered a DVDR set from them which had 2 faulty discs, so i messaged them in regards to 'maybe' sending me out replacement discs, but they just ignored me!!! I messaged them 3 separate times about this and i never received one reply, clearly its a one man show masquerading as a reputable business. Sure, make an order with them, but don't expect professional customer support afterwards! Really disappointed because i thought 'he' was a good guy.....obviously not! :(

I ordered what was described as a DVD of an early TV series. When it arrived, I discovered it is actually a DVD-R recording from a very poor quality video tape. This is misrepresentation. There was no suggestion on the website that this was not a commercial DVD.
When I requested a full refund and said I would return the product, someone called 'Charlie' emailed asking for my address so that he could send me a replacement. I replied that I wasn't interested in a replacement which is simply another video transferred to another DVD-R and asked again for a refund. That was a month ago.
I wrote again asking for a response but haven't heard anything since.

This store offers unique DVDs - ones I can’t locate anywhere else. They are always quick to respond. The merchandise is excellent. I highly recommend their DVDs. Thanks so much for having Sharon Small’s “old” tv shows on DVDs. She’s definitely one of my favorites!

Update from my review dated 24th August 2024.Finally got an answer to my email,after a bit of back and forth over emails they agreed to my returning the DVDs at my own cost.I agreed to do this and asked for a return address.Emails went silent and would not respond to my request.I went to my bank and made a claim back off my debit card,now the bank will sort it out with them.Bad product,bad customer service and will never purchase anything off this company again.

Recently purchased a DVD series from this Vendor. Fast efficient service and good communication. No hesitation in recommending to others.

Delighted to find a copy of an old TV series which has never been commercially released. The website clearly states that the DVDs are taken from old recordings from the television, so the quality reflects that but it was still completely watchable. Delivery took about a week (longer than the stated 3-5 days) and packaging could be improved - just a normal paper envelope was used instead of a padded or cardboard one - but the discs play with no problems and I have already placed an order for another old series.
Just a note about the website - I get the impression that some parts of the website are still just a general template and this may have caused confusion for some customers. I think this is a UK based company since it only sells British films and TV programmes, but the website lists a "flagship store" in New York and other stores in the US but these all have the same address, which makes it look like a scam. It is just that these parts of the website template haven't been changed. Same applies to the 555-5555 phone number I think.

Hi I received my item and the dvds looked great

Bought The Cops Dvd from the stress store. Was a good copy of a police series of the late nineties. Very pleased with it and would recommend buy this dvd

The order was completed and I received it in a week or so and I was very satisfied as I had been trying to get this for years as I had been unable to find it anywhere else. Very good service.

I ordered 4 x Series and 1 x Movie which I received promptly.

1.    The Glass,
2.    Rose and Maloney
3.    Chambers
4.    Angel Cake (Movie)
5.    Sex The City and Me

I paid $176.00 Australian Dollars in total - which I didn't mind.

However, the quality of the DVD's are below the standard at that price. In particular, The Glass Series - very poor quality.

I managed to get through The Glass (although it was quite a painful experience). The movie Angel Cake wasn't too bad as far as quality.

Chambers seems to cut out during the running of the show and a try to revert back to the beginning of the Episode and fast forward to where it left off, but it cuts out again. The quality is not great.

I haven't watched the other 2 Series but I did have a quick look at the start and the discs and again, the quality wasn't up to standard.

I'm not asking for a refund, just giving you some feedback.

Received the DVDS next day, very surprised by quality. Great to watch theses series again. It is not available anywhere. I would recommend. Keep up the good work.

Didn't experience any difficulty. Rare find of an English mini series (novel to film adaptation) televised in Australia (1990s), that I didn't manage to view in its entirety, and hasn't been available for purchase anywhere during the recent few years I searched. Was so thankful to receive considering some of the awful reviews and to say nothing of what it cost me (£-$). Took about 2 weeks to arrive from date of purchase. Thanks TS

They tell you they shipped your order, they refuse to provide a proof of shipping or the tracking number. The order is never delivered. They stop replying to emails.
The positive reviews available in here are fake.
Beware!

I ordered a dvd which they claimed was shipped & would be delivered on or before 28th October. I've emailed 3 times seeking an update but to no avail. I will contact my bank to arrange a refund & I will not be using again. Awful customer service & unprofessional business.
