Excellent customer service

Everything arrived in good condition, fantastic prices compared to your usual high street places and a greater variety, had a relatively large order for which some was back dated but after a call to the office, Brad said he could see what he could do, received a call back very quickly and had managed to get most of them ready to be shipped, fantastic service, was recommended about tool chimp and plan on using them moving forward and have recommended already to a couple lads, thank you guys and big thanks to Brad for his great service and swift responses!

Ordered a nailer was out of stock…

Ordered a nailer, a week later nothing had come so chased up only to be told was out of stock and wouldn’t come till Feb… why are you letting people order stuff when not actually available ?? and then not even emailing to say this!!
I wanted it for a job so then had to cancel it and get from Amazon (which I didn’t want to , as wanted to give business to uk).
Refund was then slow to get, having to chase up.
Terrible way to run a business, sadly won’t be using again now.
However, on a positive note, they do answer the phone quickly and Jason sent an email back to me promptly when asked.

Failed on their own priorities.

The following is an extract from the Toolchimp website "Priority 1), getting your orders out of our doors and delivered to yours as soon as possible. Priority 2), ensuring that you (our customer) are well-cared for, well-informed, and well-equipped during your entire journey with us to provide you with the best experience possible."
Order confirmed 6th order delivered 24th. due to out of stock item, finally got part order after chasing up and told expecting stock that day, week later same BS.Not once contacted to be updated on status. Would only use if the item you want is not urgent and you are prepared to wait a few weeks for your order.

Someone with an ounce of common sense would have packed it better

Never felt the need to write a negative review for a company before, but here we are.

I have ordered twice from ‘Chimp’, both times 4 Bessey clamps.

Order 1, dispatched within a day or so, arrived in a very flimsy box with the clamps rattling around in the box with no protection. Let that one go.

Order 2, late dispatch, told twice it was coming ‘tomorrow’, and never did.

When it arrived, today there was padding inside the box, but at the sides and not the ends where on handing me the parcel the delivery driver pointed out that the ends of the clamps (sharp ends) were sticking out the box.

Whoever is packing these items needs to have more training on how to pack parcels, someone with an ounce of common sense would have packed it better.

Purchased 10 keyed alike padlocks, Toolchimp took the payment, email 24 hours later to say stock not available for 6 weeks....

Even the fact that my limited experience with Live Chat caused delays, the operative was extremely patient and helpful and dealt with my issue effectively

Toolchimp good, dpd needs burning to ground with all drivers inside

Order sorted after dpd ruined yet another simple delivery. Toolchimp replied to emails and calls multiple times, really good customer service. Sent order out again to clean up after dpd failed there only job of delivery. I would recommend this company stay away from dpd. Infact everyone stay away from dpd, possibly worst delivery company

Avoid at all costs

Terrible service! Avoid at all costs! I purchased an item in December and I allowed a little time due to the festive season. However a week into January I started to ask for details and updates on when I'm likely to receive the item. I was told it would be with me by the 5th or 6th of January. I didn't arrive so I contacted again to be told that the item was waiting to be restocked and wouldn't arrive until February. No offers of compensation for the trouble they're poor service and poor communication has caused just a generic apology.

Update (Feb 16th): As you can see from the response below a manager did get it touch to offer their apologies and to offer some sort of compensation. I had to chase them for an answer as to what sort of compensation but all they offered as 15% off my next order over £50 which needless to say I won't be using as I very much doubt I'll put myself through dealing with this shoddily ran organisation again.

It's now mid February and I'm STILL waiting on an order I made in December.

I'll update again to let you know how this plays out l. Most companies think they can get away with less than the bear minimum of an apology to avoid bad reviews so they can look as though they have taken action on the matter and leave a reply. They do this as it helps restore trust with whom ever is reading the trust pilot reviews sees on the negative comments that the company tried to resolve the matter.

Hence the update: I just wanted to let you all know this has still not been resolved. There is no attempt at contacting me about the missing order. I am the one still doing all the chasing.

I wouldn't go anywhere near this company again and I'd advise anyone reading to do the same. I was hoping I could have edited and updated this review demonstrating that they took action and offered a decent compensation for all the trouble. If they'd have done this I'd have left a more positive review.

As it stands, my summery, if you're thinking of purchasing from toolchimp, is to not bother & take your business somewhere else.

The item was unfortunately placed on manufacturer back order, which led to the revised delivery date. While this was outside of our direct control, we fully acknowledge that our communication should have been better.
A manager has now been in touch directly to apologise and discuss how we can resolve this matter. We appreciate your feedback and are using it to improve our service going forward.

Placed an order on 31st December

Placed an order on 31st December, still hasn't arrived even though they promise next day delivery, tried to contact them but no response, did an online chat, first guy just ended the chat for no reason, then tried again and got Jason, who promised my order would be delivered by mid end of the week and that DX would message me to say when it was out for delivery.... Well it's THURSDAY 15th January and STILL nothing from Toolchimp or DX regarding delivery. They take your money quick enough and then don't care if you receive your items. I have e tried contacting Toolchimp again, but yet again NO RESPONSE!!! I think the best course of action is to seek legal advice to try to reclaim the monies they have taken! And I will also be contacting Trading Standards as this is not on at all.

Do not buy from these cowboys!!!
